I only tried it, I’m not buying it because Antonio Banderas’s performance disappoints me a bit. But I came looking to see if there’s any alternative that has that strawberry/raspberry jam scent, really sweet and photorealistic 😍❤️
A few seconds of cherry 🍒 caramel, then a sharp bergamot scent, and at the 2-hour-30-minute mark, close to the skin. Its richest phase is at the end.
Antonio Banderas perfumes have an indisputable value for money, and this Icon is no exception. At the opening, you can perceive the red berries, which give it the sweetness and fruity acidity I love so much in fragrances. As it dries down, the caramel starts to come through, to a point where it can almost feel like dulce de leche. On my skin, the caramel note stands out over the red berries. I let several people in my circle try it, and in most of them the red berries predominated… so I recommend testing it on the skin before buying. A night-time, wintry, and seductive perfume.
To be clear, I’m not really into Banderas perfumes, but I decided to try this new fragrance and I thought it was very nice. It’s a raspberry syrup, warm, with a white flower that accompanies it perfectly. When it dies down a bit, it leaves a lovely caramel smell. As for longevity, about two or three hours, and then the caramel trail close to the skin. As for the sillage, I found it quite weak; it’s a matter of personal taste. I feel it mixes the theatrical scent of some Jean Paul Gaultier with the kind of aura of Narciso Rodríguez. For the price, it does the job.
It’s a very nice but very subtle perfume. I get an aroma of red fruits with caramel, feminine, sweet, easy to wear. I don’t know if it projects much; it’s more personal. More for everyday wear. I don’t know which perfume it resembles; it’s similar to Supreme but with red fruits. I’m still trying it out. But it’s an ideal perfume to give as a gift because it’s very likeable.
