Chrome by Azzaro

I tested this in the 200ml bottle for two years. It’s ideal for daytime wear and works all year round, though in winter I might prefer something warmer; it’s not out of place. At first, I loved it, but over time I grew a bit tired of it, especially due to that metallic, shrill opening. Beyond that, it smells clean and serious; no one will think it’s a bad scent. The best part is the herbal dry-down, but unfortunately, it’s only noticeable up close; its greatest virtue is personal pleasure, as it projects nothing after two hours. Scent 7/10 (dry-down 8.5/10, up close only). Sillage 4/10 (projects max 40 mins). Longevity 6/10 (from the second hour onwards, up close only, lasts 6-7 hours but is barely perceptible).

An excellent alternative for a daily freshie; my favourite from the Chrome line. Its citrus side reminds me of the legendary CK One, but with a herbal twist that makes it totally masculine and a very slight pineapple sweetness. In my opinion, it’s timeless, versatile, and easy to wear. It’s an underrated fragrance that evokes energy and cleanliness; its weak point is longevity, but understandable for a citrus. It’s affordable, and reapplying doesn’t hurt the wallet too much.

It was my first and only perfume for a long time, a little 30ml bottle, haha. Ideal for me as I live in a tropical country where blues and fresh scents shine, and this is one of them. It’s fresh, smells rich, and slightly sweet, a sweetness that isn’t cloying, quite refreshing. Longevity is very good, but I feel you need about 8 sprays for it to be noticeable and last; if you use only 3, it’s not perceptible. Recently I found a bargain: 200ml + 10ml decant for under $50. I’m going to use it a lot. Scent 8.5/10. Projection 7.5/10 (with 10 sprays, 8.5/10). Longevity 8/10. Price 8/10.

A good fragrance, undoubtedly my choice for daily office wear. It’s not as long-lasting but fulfils its function and is my favourite of all the flankers. Box: light cardboard, normal design, good range of colours but nothing extraordinary. 7/10. Bottle: Not entirely to my liking, it looks very clean which gives it points, but at the same time feels fragile; the 200ml version looks like a fishbowl with a lid. 6/10. Atomiser: Imprecise, you have to fix the direction well as it moves with every spray. 6/10. Price: Average, I got it in Mexico for $45; it’s an Azzaro but doesn’t have the performance of the Wanted line, and anyway, the Arab brands remain cheaper and longer-lasting. 7/10. Longevity: About 3 to 4 hours with decent projection, serves exclusively for those office mornings; by lunchtime it’s not perceptible unless someone gets close, but it’s good as I use this in the morning and since it’s not long-lasting, there’s an opportunity to apply a different one for the night without mixing scents. It fulfils its function. 7/10. Sillage: Limited but not bad, adequate and yes, it’s perceptible; you need to apply at least 7 sprays well distributed (2 neck, 1 nape, 2 chest, 1 each arm). 8/10. Compliments: This surprised me; I always get compliments, and in my opinion, it is indeed the best scent for the office, but when I receive good comments I feel I don’t smell it anymore, so it speaks well of its sillage. 9/10. Final score 7.1/10. Conclusion: Excellent for daily office wear, morning-focused, no need to wait long but it fulfils very satisfactorily.

Bought it recently. The scent seems interesting to me, certainly versatile as several people have said. It seems very mass-market and somewhat vintage, mind you, I don’t think it’s common; on the contrary, I believe the neroli and jasmine give it a sophisticated touch. Someone wrote that it has too much citrus; I agree, for the moment it hasn’t bothered me… and I hope it doesn’t. For warm climates, definitely, it’s an excellent option. Longevity, at least on me, is moderate with discrete but olfactory projection. I’ll keep testing it. If I feel it’s necessary, I’ll update. By the way, for me it’s a mix between CK One and Cool Water by Davidoff. Best regards.

I tried every Chrome flanker and wow, there are several: Aqua, Eau de Parfum, Pure, United… and they are all rich. However, in terms of aroma, the original Chrome remains the king, with that perfect aquatic, metallic, clean and refreshing essence for summer afternoons.

Together with Chrome Aqua, these are the best of the entire line.

A marvel for heat and summer. I used it all summer and couldn’t stop receiving compliments from my partner and people who approached me. I even took it to the beach under the sun and it’s excellent. It’s very citrusy, clean and fresh. That said, it doesn’t last long; you have to over-spray for it to endure. On my skin it lasts about 4 hours, but if you overdo it, it reaches 5 or 6. For the price, it’s a top option for daily summer wear.

The opening smells like CK One, but the dry down smells like chamomile tea with milk.

I had it and didn’t like it much; it seems like a copy of something. It’s not bad, but I couldn’t find any charm in it.

As soon as I applied it, it smelled like CK One, but Chrome lasts twice as long—around 5 or 6 hours. It’s a common fragrance, pleasant and with character.

I’m new to perfumes; at first, it reminds me a lot of Nautica Voyage, then it differentiates and smells soapy (I prefer Nautica). I wore it this summer; it’s very fresh but doesn’t last long. I had to spray it 10 times to make it last 5-6 hours and be noticeable. I’ve received compliments, which surprises me, hehe.

I don’t know who copied whom, but it is exactly the same as the Sportman deodorant by Antonio Puig.

It smells rich, super citrusy and cheap. It’s a citrus blend with a new chromatic note that earns you compliments. I’m a fan of the Azzaro family.

A great masculine fragrance and rich. The citrus and marine notes last all day, leaving a clean and fresh scent perfect for hot days. The downside is that it barely lasts 2 hours and the trail is weak; perhaps it’s the current batch, as it wasn’t like this 7 years ago. For the price, it’s not a big issue and you can reapply without worry. I highly recommend the Chrome line for all ages.
