Wanted by Azzaro is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. Launched in 2016, this composition was created by Fabrice Pellegrin and Olivier Cresp. The top notes unfold with fresh lemon, sour lime, ginger, lavender and mint; the heart reveals apple, Guatemalan cardamom, juniper and geranium; while the base settles on tonka bean, Amberwood and Haitian vetiver.

If the ginger note is one of your favourites, this fragrance presents itself as an ideal option that enhances and celebrates that spiced nuance with great prominence.
New to the world of perfumery, a friend recommended this perfume to me. It didn’t fully convince me the first time I tried it, but with time it did. Its opening doesn’t please me much, it’s very synthetic and unremarkable, but after half an hour it evolves and transforms into a delicious scent. It’s a versatile perfume regarding age, recommended for any situation by regulating the sprays. I think it should only be discouraged in truly very hot weather as it’s somewhat sweet.
Opening too synthetic for my taste, it arrived this morning, I sprayed it on my hand to test, after my shower I dressed in it and I notice that after a few hours that synthetic aroma doesn’t change. I bought it blindly and at a good price in a set format with 100ml and a 10ml decant but I’m going to give it up quickly, it’s not to my taste. I recommend trying before buying, in case it happens to you as it did to me and it’s not to your liking.
A somewhat generic scent as already indicated, but I would add that despite not being anything new, it exudes a lot of cleanliness and tidiness. You won’t smell tremendously spectacular, but you will smell very, very well, and people will tell you so. Typical fragrance that looks good in any occasion and indeed, it’s quite potent. In fact, I applied it alongside another 10 designer perfumes and it totally outshone them, at least for the first hour. If you like perfumes with that typical clean smell that suits any part of life and doesn’t stray from the norm but guarantees a good presence, Azzaro Wanted is for you, without a doubt. For me, it’s a must given its price. The global appeal makes it a priority far ahead of other more expensive ones.
It’s a delight.
After years of using it as one of my signature fragrances, I have to say its performance has dropped since I’ve had it in 2020, although it still holds up. To start with, what catches attention most is a citrus opening that transitions into a delicious apple scent combined with lavender and an amber and tonka vanilla base that gives it that sweet touch. It’s an all-rounder, suitable for any occasion, although I recommend wearing it when working short distances, as it doesn’t project much after the first half-hour. It’s a compliment magnet and women like it a lot, following that line of soapy and fruity fragrances that appeal to everyone. It could also serve as an office fragrance, but it might end up feeling heavy due to its sweet final touch; there are better options in that field. It’s valid for any age range (a friend said she’d recommend it to her father to wear), as it acquires a youthful character but is mature enough that someone over 40 wouldn’t disdain it. Overall, it’s a success for someone looking for an all-rounder signature fragrance or a date perfume due to how well it works at close range. Another thing to add is its affordable price (here in Spain, 100ml can be found for 40-50 euros) compared to other designer fragrances.
Perfect for everyday use and very versatile, as it also serves for special occasions. As for performance, quite good: I applied it at 1pm and it’s now 7pm and it’s still on the skin, having projected for about 2-3 hours before decaying in intensity. My only reservation and the reason I won’t be buying this fragrance is that it’s somewhat synthetic and I don’t feel the smell as unique as I would like. If you don’t have many perfumes, this is a versatile one that delivers and pleases.
I recommend trying before buying! My relationship with this fragrance is love-hate. I bought it blindly in 150ml at Zara’s price and I think it was a good purchase. Conceptually, I adore it; it outperforms most of the market: Wanted is a bottle that recalls a revolver and a masculine, spiced scent (it doesn’t smell fresh to me and I can’t find the clean side), very long-lasting for an EDT that makes you feel like there’s a reward beneath the name in the Wild West. In this sense, it completely surpasses the rest of the Wanted line by Azzaro, as they tend more towards the pool of desire. My issue is with the scent itself: it smells of everything but doesn’t stand out within itself. I’m not sure if the blend is formulated masterfully or if it’s the opposite. It has a generic smell from which nothing stands out and it’s one of the least complimented in my collection. Its performance does seem good as it projects and lasts for an EDT and isn’t annoying or invasive if you don’t apply more than 7 sprays. I recommend trying it first and comparing it with the rest of the Wanted line, as although its concept is superior, upon testing its smaller sisters I regret having such a large bottle. In my opinion, they are better balanced, being denser and richer. Overall, it’s a versatile perfume that delivers, a solid and masculine option for everyday wear (especially spring and autumn) and, given the current longevity of other designer fragrances, it’s a bargain.
FABULOUS RED
Azzaro Wanted is that perfume that’s always there, the first of its long family, and L’Oréal hasn’t discontinued it. I tried it in the heat in 2016 (its launch); Wanted by Night arrived in 2018 and worked very well in the evenings, as I consider it versatile and, without being a NIGHT, it can be worn to dinners. It’s very pleasant; I noticed a lot of mint in the opening, fresh and attractive, and the apple adds a touch afterwards with a pleasant development that lasted quite a while. The base is a contrast of serious woods with a sweet point from the Tonka. Neither this nor the Night were BEST MODES, except in the opening and development. But if you have lunch or dinner and they tell you how delicious you smell, then it works. I don’t know if the current distributor has tampered with it; I bought one of the last batches of the NIGHT and it seems softer, although it’s already discontinued. Both were around 50 euros, which doesn’t seem expensive to me, as they cost more at launch. Perhaps I’ll buy it for spring 2025 if it’s still available, because I’ve always wanted to wear it. An EDT that works.
Absolutely delicious, perfect for everyday wear. If you’re just starting out with perfumes, this is the ideal choice; any man, regardless of age, will surely enjoy it. I know most people here are addicted to scents and this might sound generic, but trust me: if you have few fragrances or just want one that covers every occasion, this is undoubtedly the one you need. Incredible.
Spectacular opening and sweet dry-down; it smells very rich. You can smell the apple after 10 minutes. Generally I like it, although it’s not spectacular; yes, its performance is very decent. Very versatile. A 7.5 out of 10.
Anyone who thinks this smells like Invictus should go to the doctor to check their nose… this has nothing to do with it. I hate Invictus not because of the smell, but because it’s so mass-produced and you smell it in every corner; Wanted is less used and smells much better, lasting and projecting double. For me, it’s one of the most underrated perfumes on the market; for the price, you can’t find anything that lasts, projects, and earns so many compliments. Is it synthetic? Yes, so what do you expect for the price? Without a doubt, it’s one of my favourites, versatile, affordable, and my wife’s favourite among a collection of Creed, PdM, Xerjoff, BDK, and TF. A safe purchase.
When I bought it, I was disappointed by its performance, which I felt was poor on my skin. I insist, I ‘felt’ it, because I know every skin is different and indeed it didn’t perform for me like that. After wearing it sparingly for months, this December (where I live it’s not that cold) I gave it a place in my memory. For example: two days ago I applied two sprays on each arm at 6 PM. Hours later, the scent of sweetness and shine, slightly herbal, acted normally and softened its character. By early morning, bringing my nose close, I felt it very soft but PRESENT. Before sleeping, a final sniff: non-shouting ginger, sparkling and clinging to the skin. The next day, all day long, I found that just sweetness where I applied it. At 24 hours, when I showered, the ginger emerged with a potency and brilliance I can’t believe. It definitely gets along well with my skin and is responsible for my infatuation with that energising ingredient. Batch 2024.
This is my favourite perfume, the one that earns me the most compliments; it’s quite long-lasting and fresh. I have a special affection for it because smelling it reminds me of my trip to Cuba. It’s good for warm days, although I use it on any occasion because I simply adore it.
It’s beautiful; I prefer it to Most Wanted. A super-spicy citrus opening with that hot ginger, yet woody at the same time. I suggest it for informal situations and climates up to 28 degrees.
Super fruity, sweet, and delicious. Not for extreme heat; it works better in spring. Despite being sweet, it feels like a masculine vibe. It feels like an Invictus but less synthetic and richer. Excellent longevity and projection. Recommended.
This gem has magic for women, I swear. For some reason, this fragrance makes them feel very intense. Recommended for any occasion; here’s a very personal tip: wear it to create intimacy and tell me how it goes. You’ll thank me.
I tried it and it was wonderful; I absolutely love this DNA and couldn’t help but say ‘how delicious’. I think it’s the ideal perfume for winter or cold climates, avoiding extremes.
The most potent EDT I know, an underrated gem. Fresh with a sweet, fruity touch, perfect for afternoons, nights, or parties; it exudes that youthful vibe of someone active and fun. It doesn’t smell like Invictus, but it serves the same purpose with a similar style. You get far more than you pay for. Totally masculine. The only flaw: it can become tiring over time due to being very linear. Still recommended.
I still can’t explain why it took me so long to buy it. It’s a brilliant fragrance, worth every penny in the truest sense. It has a fresh and sweet opening, a perfect balance. That combination of ginger and lavender in the top notes makes anyone passing by stop and wonder if you’re the one smelling so good. In the heart, notes of apple, cardamom, and juniper maintain that fresh balance, and to a certain extent, elegance. By the base, tonka bean and woody amber notes are a delight. It holds up very well across all four seasons and almost any temperature, something similar (though not identical) to the YSL EDT. Highly recommended in the truest sense.
I like all the perfumes in the Wanted collection, including this one, but to be honest, it disappointed me because it lacks the impact of the other versions, acting more as an introduction to the base that Azzaro offers in the Wanted line. Being an EDT, it doesn’t last long, at least not on my skin or the store’s test paper. The good thing is it can be worn in almost any situation, except in climates exceeding 30 degrees. In conclusion: it’s a pleasant, sweet, subtle, and versatile scent. However, I wouldn’t be inclined to buy it based on the price-to-longevity ratio. I would prefer a more modern version with better fixation.
Am I the only one who smells it exactly like Wanted by Night when I walk out? By the way, it’s very nice, youthful, fresh, spiced, and it lasts far too long on clothes, about ten hours.
I can’t quite describe it; it smells like pineapple, sweet but rich fruit. Longevity is fantastic! It lasts me over eight hours. The best thing is that I got it at an excellent price. Very satisfied, I recommend it for nights or mild days, just be careful with the number of sprays.
Slightly influenced by the saying ‘don’t wear sweet-based perfumes in summer’, I’ve barely worn it in the heat, but I’ve noticed it really shines on mild summer evenings and nights. It’s a perfume made to please. It leans youthful, yet I don’t see it looking out of place on a 40-year-old man dressed casually for summer. It’s quite versatile, though if you overdo it in enclosed spaces, it can become overwhelming. The spray is very generous. Good longevity, around seven hours, which is surprising for a mature fragrance. Everyone loves it. For years I used Invictus (I went through three or four bottles), and this bears no resemblance to it. When I’ve finished it, I won’t be buying it again, but I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.
From the very first moment, it smells light and fresh. Over time, warm notes emerge, adding depth without losing its softness. Perfect for special occasions or everyday wear.
Azzaro Wanted is undervalued and overshadowed by The Most Wanted. It’s a good fragrance that reminds me of Invictus’s DNA, with that sweet, gum-like sensation that makes it youthful, pleasant, and easy to wear. It’s not a clone, but certainly inspired by it. The opening is fresh and citrusy, sharp with lemon and ginger that initially overpower the lavender and mint. The apple note doesn’t smell the same as in other perfumes; combined with cardamom and tonka bean, it delivers that characteristic gum-like sweetness. It’s very informal, ideal for going out with friends, dining, or weekends. I don’t think it’s ideal for work as it can strip away formality. It suits spring and autumn for any time of day, but in summer or at the beach, the sweetness might not be appropriate; in those cases, I’d reserve it for evening or late afternoon. Given the price, quality, and performance, I would buy it again without hesitation to have a fragrance that, without thinking twice, you apply to smell good.
Azzaro Wanted strikes a perfect balance between charisma and elegance. From the first spray, a spiced freshness evolves into a seductively woody warmth. While many compare it to Invictus, this isn’t a copy but a distinct identity of its own. On my skin, it projects an optimistic, modern energy. The longevity and projection are excellent, leaving a lasting impression. It’s a fragrance I truly enjoy and that always puts a smile on my face.
Many people say it has nothing to do with Invictus, but for me, who haven’t worn it for three years, it sounds exactly the same. I tried it yesterday and my partner said, ‘That’s Invictus!’, and they were right. If you smell both together you’ll spot the differences, but to the average person walking down the street, you’ll come across as wearing Invictus.
It’s a gem for the price. It smells better than expensive perfumes, with a brilliant, fresh opening that lasts for hours. It suits everything: if you want to wear it daily, apply a little; if you want to go out and be noticed, apply more. It smells clean and fresh, then the apple note emerges and lingers. The resemblance to Invictus becomes noticeable after nine hours, when the dry-down is similar.
I ordered Azzaro The Most Wanted Intense and this arrived, but I didn’t return it: it smells deliciously fresh. You press the head and a bunch of fruits comes out, not too sweet, with acidity of apple, melon, strawberry or watermelon. The cardamom and ginger create a hypnotic dance, so perfect with that mint that they create a clean and natural ensemble, not synthetic like the ambroxan. Then comes the amber and vanilla to give depth, a vanilla identical to SWY. This is neither the fire nor the wheel, but a fragrance as it should be: natural, balanced and with personality. Wear it during the day, because this is like the rays of the sun.
I’ve had this perfume since the pandemic, took it on holiday to Granada, beach and tourism, and its performance pleased me so much that whenever I smell it, I’m transported back to those dates. I bought it after seeing an advertisement and the revolver drum shape that stood out. Being an Eau de Toilette, it has a good trail for the first 2-3 hours and lasts about 5-6 hours, perhaps more if you also apply it on clothes. It’s fresh and pleasant, becoming soft with sweet notes that occasionally peek through. My partner, who is a woman, loves it when I wear it, but I think a woman could wear it too if she has the character for it.
Impressive, it’s the longest-lasting of the whole line and smells great: fresh, apple, spectacular. The best of the whole Azzaro line.
Excellent, a rich scent and, to my surprise, it lasted a very long time. My favourite from the line so far. A luxury.
I didn’t like it… I feel it’s for people over 40.
Wear it day or night, it will stand out either way. A classic from Azzaro that never goes out of fashion because of such a pleasant scent. Highly recommended purchase.
I like that it smells clean and warm at the same time. I wear it day and night, it lasts quite a while, about 8-9 hours. If you are very active daily, it will suit you excellently. I’ll continue to wear it on days with lots of movement to feel fresh all the time.
I had been postponing this purchase for years because I always fell for the latest hype, and like a good sheep, I sniffed out the new releases and put off buying what I actually wanted. After stopping to follow the herd and prioritising my own tastes, I bought this Wanted EDT and was left speechless: an absolute delight! It’s not the newest or a niche luxury, but it’s tremendously pleasant with impeccable performance. The opening is citrusy, spicy, fruity, with a perfect mentholated touch. As it dries down, it leaves the citrus behind to become fruity, fresh, with a sweet amber base, without being heavy. It reminds me of Invictus, has nuances of Stronger With You, and even notes of Acqua di Giò, but without copying, instead gathering the best of several best-sellers with its own touch. The bottle is pretty and it’s a BOMB on my skin: more than 8 hours of longevity, strong for the first 4-5 hours. Many people ask if I smell good, and several women have asked for the name to gift it. I don’t see it as unisex, but who knows.
Finally bought my first Azzaro Wanted EDT. It’s spiced with an apple that drives the fragrance, with a touch of ginger that makes it sparkly; it’s a scent that’s a joy to wear. I bought it at 19 and expected something more youthful, but for 25+, it’s your perfect signature: serious, without excessive sweetness. As an EDT, it lasts about 6-7 hours, projects for 1.5 hours, then sits close to the skin, ideal for indoors. Versatile for the day, avoid it at night due to lack of weight. If you have to choose between this and Wanted by Night, go for the Night version; it’s more modern and enjoyable. Thanks for reading.
Perfect for everyday wear. It’s not the kind of perfume that shouts ‘wow’ or smells awful, but rather something perfectly balanced. Smells of ginger with amber, and for the price, it’s a sensible purchase.
