Wanted Girl by Azzaro

Is it floral? Not really; the orange blossom is barely noticeable. The sweet ingredients take centre stage. If you’re looking for it because you read it smells like Poison Girl or Good Girl Légère, it doesn’t. Although Wanted Girl’s olfactive pyramid has similarities to those perfumes, that doesn’t make them alike.

On my skin, it’s 50% similar to Jean Paul Gaultier’s Divine, which is sweet and spectacular. I’m fascinated by it.

It smells of white flowers with caramel or condensed milk, a blend of the delicacy of florals and the warmth of sweets, although I don’t detect the pepper. The first minutes are floral, then the dry-down takes centre stage with the condensed milk and patchouli. It evokes ‘luxury’ and ‘wealth’; I use it for fresh or cold evening outings, I don’t see it as suitable for day or heat.

I’ve had it for two years and only now am I using it frequently. I feel it has ‘matured’, not macerated, haha. Before, I sensed it as sweet, with its condensed milk and datura, but fresher, noting much orange blossom in the opening. Now it remains sweet, but less sparkly. To my surprise, on my skin it leaves a ‘je ne sais quoi’ that reminds me a lot of Alien (I insist, on my skin). I enjoy it much this autumn because it floats between the skin and the jumper, like a little cloud on the chest. Perhaps it won’t shatter windows and people won’t turn around as soon as you arrive, but this Wanted Girl has its enigma.

I like it more, although it’s not what I expected. I thought the condensed milk note would be more prominent and it wasn’t, at least on me. It has a spicy opening of ginger and pink pepper that lasts a few minutes, then I sense some flowers. The dry-down is what I like most: it’s powdery, almost talcum-like. On my skin it smells identical to Flower by Kenzo, the similarity is incredible. It has an elegant and sophisticated air. The longevity is moderate, skin-level but perceptible.

I simply love it. On my skin, its trail lasts about two hours and its longevity reaches six hours. It works brilliantly for me and I’ve already used it again because it’s autumn here. Its performance is excellent; it projects well and I feel the sillage with movement; it floats in the air. I adore the scent, although for others it may not seem novel, for me it generates warmth and comfort with its sweetness, nothing cloying.

I am satisfied and happy with the purchase, although as several say, it is not the most original fragrance in the world and surely for the same price or less you can find something similar. I am content because, although I bought it blindly, I already knew it wasn’t the most original, so with little expectation, it was not a disappointment. I bought a small 30ml bottle for 30 euros. I used it two days in a row to go to work; I enjoyed it more on the second day as I got to know it better and because I put on more sprays, it lasted all day. It opens sweet and a little spiced, with a subtle hint of ginger. It doesn’t have much evolution, I feel it the same all the time: sweet and a little spiced. It’s not original, it’s a sweet basic that could be anyone. Despite what they say about duration, on me it had good performance: about seven hours with constant sillage and then another two hours close to the skin. Personal trail, ideal for offices or when you don’t want to bother. Conclusion: If you are looking for something unique or to attract attention, this is not it. If you are looking for a sweet basic at a good price, perhaps yes. Try it, if you like it and it lasts well on your pH, it will be a good basic for when you don’t know what to wear.

To me, Wanted Girl smells like a person with money. I bought it for the dulce de leche note and it is true that it smells to an intense, heavy and sugary dulce de leche. There is a slightly spicy touch of ginger and pepper, but they give a good balance to the sweet aroma. Two bad things: on my skin it doesn’t last at all. Once I took it to a hotel and had to reapply every two hours because literally nothing remained close to the skin, and for its value that seems horrible to me. Secondly, it feels a bit old-fashioned. I fell in love at first sniff, but I thought ‘this is the perfect perfume for my mum’. I still use it and feel very elegant with it, but I know it suits an outfit and context less twenty-something than I usually have.

I looked for a tester because the dulce de leche note caught my attention, but it is a very subtle and balanced ddl with pepper and flowers. In my experience I do not agree with the reviews that say the ddl note makes you want to eat your arm. At least on my skin, I feel it lacks something to stand out or attract attention; it seemed a bit ‘meh’, but I understand why someone with different tastes might like it.

I disagree greatly with the previous opinions. As is well known, this world of fragrances is everything and never ends, so one cannot generalise. Tastes may coincide or differ, and returning to the beginning, obviously the fragrance seems beautiful to me and captured me from the first time I smelled it, so I desired it until I got it as a gift. Considering this, we could say it is quite expensive in Mexico, I don’t know how its price is in other places, but if you enjoy sweet white floral and spiced aromas, it can be a good investment. I cannot say it resembles other fragrances I have tried, although I have tried many. Also my style is very defined: I love gourmand aromas, so if someone has this perfume in mind and does not enjoy sweet aromas, better to stay away. Speaking of performance, in my case it was very good, it resisted an evening date and a night out and of course there were compliments. Conclusion: Try it before buying and look for it at a reasonable price.

Sweet and floral with a tonka bean hint reminiscent of dulce de leche, though without that typical vanilla edge. The longevity and sillage are poor; there are better options on the market. It is neutral, versatile, and hard to dislike, yet it stands out for neither its scent nor its character. Perhaps it serves as a gift if the price is right. The Poison Girl is far darker and more personality-driven.

I loved it at first, but after several sprays, I felt I had smelled it before. Once home and comparing it to the Poison Girl, I confirmed they were very similar. Having the Poison Girl meant I didn’t feel the need to buy this, although I did like it and it fits that line. It lasted around four or five hours on my skin: sweet but not cloying. It’s a yes when the Poison Girl is running low.

I agree with other reviews: it is not novel, sweet without being cloying, and smells nice. The packaging makes you want to own it. It is linear, with no evolution. The dulce de leche note reminded me of the Good Girl Legere, although this Wanted Girl is calmer and softer. It didn’t last long on my skin, but it did on clothes. If you like sweets, it is a good option for treating yourself or gifting. It didn’t kill me; it’s more of the same.

Very sweet and charming, without being cloying. Although I have a love-hate relationship with gourmands, this one conquered me and makes me feel youthful. It has dulce de leche, but I believe it gives it a vibe similar to the Jessica Simpson Fancy, more caramelised. Both are delicious.

I have a question after reading reviews in English: is it true that it reminds one of the Alien by Mugler? I am excited about the dulce de leche note, but if it truly smells like Alien, I know it won’t be for me. Let’s see if they can clear my doubts before I can try it in person 🙏.
