Another L’Oréal casualty… An interesting fragrance where nothing stands out particularly and nothing is quite in its right place, yet the final result is good. To me, it’s aromatic, woody, slightly balsamic, with a very subtle blackcurrant base. Good and at least interesting. It reminds me of those soapy fragrances from years gone by that no longer exist, of which only two or three remain. It has moderate sillage but lasts over eight hours; afterwards, it fades to skin scent.
I feel proud with my 75ml bottle of this perfume, which transports me straight back to the 90s. It has that typical woody (cedar) touch of its era, like Memorie d’un Homme or Bvlgari Man. Although it dries down with a frankincense note that reminds me of Bleu de Chanel. The longevity is quite good; you can tell it was from another time, with moderate projection. It’s made for close-range wear. Highly recommended; I just hope its discontinuation doesn’t lead to a price increase.
Hello fellow fragrance enthusiasts! Today I picked up two nearly full 125ml testers of this gem, both from 2008 and in pristine condition. The opening is superb: it screams masculinity and class. It lasts over ten hours on the skin with moderate projection at first. In the development, blackcurrant, incense, and woods combine perfectly. It’s another treasure for my collection of lost gems: perfect for evening wear, cold nights, and intimate candlelit dinners. It’s made to be worn close to the skin, it’s incredibly seductive, and the name suits it perfectly. I recommend it! If you can get it at a good price, don’t hesitate; it’s pure gold. Best wishes!
