  • It bears quite a resemblance to the other one in the collection that isn’t available here on Fragantica, Balade à Paris – Promenade à Montmartre. This one opens fresher but then still leaves a fairly strong caramel trail. I detect a hint of coffee and vanilla. Fortunately, it doesn’t feel synthetic, but it still hasn’t quite convinced me. It was a blind buy and, judging by the bottle’s colour and the description, I thought it would be fresher, but there’s nothing citrusy or fruity here. The box lists the top notes as Pear, Mandarin, and Fig leaf. I can’t smell any of them, only caramel… Middle notes: Cedar, Jasmine, Caramel, Coffee Blossom. I only sense the caramel and the coffee. There’s nothing ‘green’ here! Base notes: Musk, Vanilla, and Raspberry. There’s a hint of vanilla, but nothing of the raspberry, just like the pear. I own Flânerie dans le verger from the same brand and adore it, because the green aromas, pear, geranium, and grass are perfectly perceptible. They don’t appear in this one. Of the three they’ve launched, Soirée Rooftop is the most accomplished. The other two I bought afterwards feel like half-hearted attempts halfway to what Soirée achieves. Such a shame.

  • I’d been searching for a coffee-scented perfume for some time and tried this Jeanne Arthes at a perfumerie; I adored it. It smells of caramelised coffee and is present, as if you were in an outdoor café, nothing cloying, very fresh and delicious. The packaging is beautiful, it comes in 100 ml and has a super economical price. The truth is, it doesn’t last very long, about two or three hours, but it tolerates that quite well. I consider it an excellent option for everyday wear, for heading to work in spring or summer.

Good evening, I’ve fallen in love with this fragrance. It’s super fruity: sweet orange, pear, fig leaves, and raspberries with a touch of caramel that adds warmth. The white flowers, especially the jasmine, are very prominent, with a musky base that includes roses and blackcurrant. The coffee really stands out alongside everything. To me, it’s a super dupe of Givenchy Irresistible Eau de Toilette, which I’m currently testing on the other arm. 😍😍😍😍😍
