  • Warm, comforting, sweet, and for personal enjoyment. It starts with a modest vanilla accord that settles, then as it dries, I feel almonds soaked in milk. It doesn’t have much sillage; it’s more for enjoying alone. Would I recommend it? Yes, it’s worth trying; it’s sweet but doesn’t fall into the gourmand category.

  • I hesitated a lot because there were no reviews and the ones that existed were bad, but I loved it. It’s a special edition. At first, there’s a sweetness that gives way to a warm patisserie aroma. You can smell the vanilla, though it’s not intense or synthetic; the almonds stand out and the milky tone gives it a cakey feel. It’s not invasive, doesn’t cause headaches, nor does it have that metallic taint of cheap vanillas. It has earned me compliments, a real success! I wish I’d had it sooner. On the skin, it lasts about two hours and a bit longer on clothes, but for this price, I prefer quality even if they sacrifice longevity. The bottle and box are gorgeous. Edit: I bought the new Pavlova version (pink bottle, also pretty). It’s not on Fragrantica and I warn you it has nothing to do with Macaron Amande. Pavlova is very synthetic, smelling of artificial sweet strawberry with sour touches of blackcurrant and blackberry that I didn’t like. It also lacks the versatility of Macaron; Pavlova is more for little girls or very young girls, like applying perfume with a meringue.

  • On application, it smells of caramelised plum with almond, like the old coloured anise sweets from my childhood. It’s sweet and potent, only noticeable when bringing the nose close. The almond adds a bitter touch, like raw nuts, which balances the sweetness. As it dries, there’s the almond mix with a milky sensation of milk and vanilla. If you don’t like milk or milky notes, don’t buy it. It usually costs €6-8 and on my skin it has brutal performance: lasting over 8 hours and I smell it all the time. Cheap perfumes would kill to have this. It’s the one that lasts longest for the brand and is only for gourmand lovers.

  • VanillaDream

For me, it’s a mix between Hypnotic Poison and Kriska Alegría. It shares notes with Dior: vanilla, almond, orange blossom, and plum, but it’s simpler and lacks depth. Very delicious if you like creamy and almond fragrances; it reminds me of ‘almendrado’, that vanilla ice cream dessert with crunchy almonds we eat in Argentina.

  • I hesitated to buy it but it’s very delicious; I feel like it’s tea with cream. I’d like the sillage to be more potent, but it’s more for personal enjoyment.

  • I tried it and it’s delicious, smelling of macarons, but it vanished in seconds. What a pity. Very poor longevity. I decided on another by Jeanne Arthes, Balade a Paris, simply because it lasts longer.

  • A partial disappointment. I bought it knowing it wouldn’t be magic. It’s rich, sweet, and cosy, but predictable. I expected a Ladurée vibe and there wasn’t even a hint of that world. In the perfumery, it seemed flat and familiar with little development. On the skin, it lasts very little and leaves no trail unless sprayed generously and briefly. I bought it for discreet autumn mornings, as this summer has been exhausting. I tested it on my inner arm: it smells like almond ice cream with praline. The plum greets you timidly at first, soft notes you have to guess at skin level. At the end, there’s faded vanilla. Something to think twice about, though not unpleasant.

  • Rocío Fernández Gamón

Delicate. On application, it smells of orange blossom and quickly moves to almond milk with vanilla and a hint of milk anise tea. On clothes, it’s a wonder and lasts all day; on skin, it stays very little. It doesn’t have that caramel sweetness, but rather the softness of milk. It suits from childhood onwards and has earned me many compliments.

  • Macaron Amande was a blind buy and came out average. It’s gourmand but light: it opens with sweet plum, quickly moves to almond with a milky touch, and closes with vanilla and a subtle floral base. It smells like patisserie but is airy and very wearable; sometimes I catch a hint of pistachio that I love. It’s like a ‘macaron ice cream’—gourmand yet refreshing and almost summery. The downside is it doesn’t last well on the skin, lasting only 2-3 hours with little sillage. At €10 for 100ml it’s cheap, but I’ll only use it at home because reapplying is tiring. The bottle and box are gorgeous. I wouldn’t buy it again, but for the price, it’s worth trying.

  • Gourmand Bottle

I was absolutely blown away; it smells like Kayali’s Yum Pistachio Gelato 🤯. I bought it out of curiosity and thank goodness I did. Of course, it doesn’t match the longevity or projection, but if you want to try that scent without spending a fortune, it’s a good option. It’s the watery version that changes as it dries, but for the price, it’s not unpleasant at all. I use it for sleeping or to scent my bed sheets.

  • I agree with many opinions about this EDP which I would rather rate as a cologne. It has a particularly pleasant aroma: sweet without being cloying, as FcNavarra says, it could be used for a baby. It smells like almond milk, not vanilla even though it’s in the notes. I think the name ‘Macaron Amande’ reflects very well what it smells like: an almond cake. It has a good opening and dry-down, but it doesn’t last at all. Sometimes I wear it to sleep. It’s very pleasant, but little more. The bottle and vial are quite nice. I won’t repurchase.

I simply love it. I bought it blindly based on the notes; on the first spray I smelled fresh almond without perceiving the sweetness, and I liked it a lot. When it dries on the skin and some time passes, the milky and vanilla notes start to emerge, changing the scent considerably. I like it very much, but the problem is it doesn’t have much projection and I have to reapply constantly; if I smell my wrist, there it is. I sprayed the perfume in the bathroom, closed the door, and left; when I returned, upon entering it smelled like a bakery, a total delight, it stayed in the air. I think it’s very pretty for close encounters.

  • It has a delicate scent and moderate longevity. The notes that stand out most on my skin are the almond and vanilla with a powdery touch; it’s sweet but not cloying. Personally, it’s a fairly innocent and fresh fragrance. I would buy it again. 8.5/10.

  • The first time it sounded like generic sweet and simple, with poor longevity and not much charm. Applying it more generously improved it a little, but I still find it boring and generic. It has a childish vibe and, for me, very short performance. It smells like almond in a sweet, slightly milky mix. Soft projection and lasts 3-4 hours on my skin. I used a 5ml decant and it passed without making or breaking. I bought the full bottle on sale at Notino before trying it, but I never opened it and it left my collection. Scent 5/10, Longevity 3.5/10, Projection 5/10, Value 5/10, Versatility 5/10, Packaging 6/10. Would I buy it again? No.

It’s a skin scent with a soft trail. Upon spraying, the first thing I get is the orange blossom and the passing plum; a few minutes later the almond, vanilla, and milky notes appear, which are the ones that stand out most on my skin. It’s sweet but not cloying, a youthful and innocent perfume in my opinion. I would definitely buy it again.

  • The first Jeanne Arthes perfume I have no regrets about. Linear scent of almond, plum, orange blossom, and vanilla: cheap gourmand, sweet but still youthful. Being super low cost makes it worth it, even as a room freshener, especially for layering. I now combine it with Zara’s Hypnotic Vanilla.

  • I bought it blindly because it was cheap and the notes seemed foolproof. It was! It’s very soft, sweet, and milky. I smell pistachio ice cream, even though it’s not in the notes. I think it’s great for everyday wear. The longevity and projection are appropriate for the price; after three hours, it’s just close to the skin. It feels a bit synthetic to me but I don’t dislike it. Sometimes I combine it with Devotion by D&G and it becomes hyper gourmand. Would I buy it again? Probably yes.

  • It’s a very nice perfume, sweet but not cloying, where I detect sweet almonds with vanilla, almost like smelling a macaron. It doesn’t have much projection and lasts about five hours, then it stays close to the skin, but I really enjoy its scent.

  • I tried it following reviews saying it was delicious and not cloying. My god. It’s way too strong for me; I could taste the plum, vanilla, and milk all together, a real bomb. I confirmed how milky it is, with the plum marking the opening. Over time it becomes sweeter, though the trail isn’t wide. It wasn’t one of my favourites; I wouldn’t buy it because of the plum, which isn’t my thing, but I recommend it for those seeking intense fragrances.

  • I bought this in Argentina right at the start of autumn and absolutely adore it because it’s a BBB. I’ve worn it for five hours and it’s still present. It’s not powerful; it’s sweet and smells like a soft cake, with that almond note on skin that I love. Ideal for autumn and winter, and great value for money as it comes in 100ml. Stop spending on Zara dupes that smell like nothing and try Jeanne Arthes instead.

  • africagonzalez

On my skin, the plum and floral notes stand out, and it dries down very milky and vanilla-scented. It smells splendid but doesn’t last long. The packaging is super beautiful.

  • Mirko2004

On my skin, it lasted until the next day… A gourmand explosion… an exquisite macaron for its value, I found it spectacular.

  • I had other Jeanne Arthes fragrances that didn’t convince me (from the Boum line) due to short longevity, but this is much better. The only thing I perceive is lots of gourmand vanilla and milky notes, as if it were a warm, comforting vanilla smoothie. I like it for sleeping as it feels too childish to go out in; I’m over 30. But without a doubt, in secondary school or university, I would have loved it for everyday wear.

  • Without a doubt, a delicious aroma that everyone will like. A soft, milky macaron. The packaging is beautiful and the price is accessible. But unfortunately, much to my regret, it doesn’t project at all and leaves no trail. The longevity is shameful: it didn’t even reach half an hour. I really love Jeanne Arthes fragrances, but in the end, I don’t buy them because they don’t last; they’re not worth the cost. I wish they used fixatives to prolong their life on the skin. What a pity.

  • How beautiful. I had it, exchanged it, and since I missed it, I bought it again. Truth: it doesn’t last at all and I don’t mind; I love it too much! It has some similarity with Affection Love (a dupe of Kayali’s Yum Gellato pistachio), but I like this one more because Affection Love has a more marked cardamomo note. I’d love to find a longer-lasting version of Macaron Amande; meanwhile, I use it for walking around the house or reapplying, or before bed to feel like a green macaron.

  • What a delightful perfume! I love these Jeanne Arthes scents; they evoke an afternoon tea at a patisserie with outdoor coffee, my favourite moment. I love going for afternoon tea, and these perfumes remind me of when you’re served a Lemon Pie or a Danish with your coffee, and the aromas blend with the fresh air. Beautiful, gourmand and fresh. At first, you notice the almond with the fresh touch of plum; it’s delicious and well-balanced. I also detect a hint of menthol and pistachio. On me, it lasted about six hours and the trail was spectacular; it was always noticeable. The bottle is gorgeous and the price very economical. If you like the smell of afternoon tea, give it a try. I also own ‘Balade à Paris Café à Saint-Germain’, which is similar but with coffee and more caramelised notes; it complements it perfectly. They are the scents of outdoor afternoon tea.

This was my first Jeanne Arthes fragrance, so I have a lot of affection for it. I’m not sure which I like more between Pavlova and this one; it’s super unique and one of my favourites. It has lots of almond, it’s sweet, creamy and fresh, and it truly smells like a dessert. Personally, I don’t detect much vanilla like others do; my mum says yes, but I smell more the almonds and the milk. It projects quite well, lasts three hours strong and six hours close to the skin; afterwards, that creamy, delicious milk scent is noticeable. I wish there was something that smelled exactly like this.

  • I bought it for the notes and I wasn’t wrong; I like gourmand scents and it’s very sweet. At first, it smells strongly of plum, which then softens to give prominence to a whipped cream-type aroma. I detect the almond note very weakly. In the dry-down, it finishes with a smell of sugared milk and a touch of vanilla.

  • It smells incredibly rich, super sweet, like a cold vanilla and almond dessert with a very milky note. It’s delicious and gourmand, similar to Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa 62, but this one projects and lasts longer. It reminds me of the Avon body splashes I used to wear as a child. I love it, but it’s too soft; it doesn’t project and doesn’t last long; it’s only for enjoying at home. I won’t be buying it again. I own all three from the line, and while this is the most beautiful, it’s the one I feel the least. It can be worn all year, but unfortunately, it leaves no trail.

  • isimostar

I absolutely adore it! It’s my daily fragrance. At first, it smells like baby soap, but over time, it explodes into delicious notes on the skin. If you’re looking for something gourmand and affordable, this is your best bet; plus, it’s not a dupe of Cheirosa 62—it smells different. It’s a bomb if you layer it with Lattafa’s Rave Now or Zara’s Red Sweet Temptation.

  • For the first 20 to 30 minutes it smells like marzipan and vanilla cookies soaked in milk with honey. Then a fine Christmas nougat emerges, all accompanied by a floral bouquet in the background, finishing with an addictive and warm dulce de leche.

  • This fragrance is a DELICIOUS treat; the blend of vanilla, milk and almond is wonderful. Gourmand without being cloying, elegant and sweet. It’s a pity the longevity isn’t more intense, but for the price you can’t ask for more.

  • AndiSmith

Delicious, smells like almond cookies with milk and vanilla, and at some point you notice the citrusy orange blossom. The only downside is it doesn’t last long on my skin.

  • I’m not sure if the liquid was damaged, but I ordered it from Notino and couldn’t enjoy it; it was repulsive, a synthetic smell with a bath-type apple scent. This and the Bom Vanille are the worst perfumes I’ve ever had.

  • Smells 100% like a macaron. Lactonic, almond and vanilla. Super gentle, ‘good girl’ vibes. Ideal for fresh days.

  • Sweet almonds in a creamy, softly vanilla liquid. A flat, comfortable and pleasant scent. Light longevity, but I repurchase often given the low price. Lovely packaging, informal bottle. The prettiest in the range.

  • Smells like a vanilla and cream dessert with an almond hint. Just as its name suggests, a macaron. Rich and flattering, yet subtle and short-lived; if you’re looking for projection, this isn’t for you. I wear it daily and reapply.

  • sportacus621

Beautiful and gentle, slightly sweet. Lactonic and vanilla, yet it doesn’t last a moment.

  • denissebellini

Soft, creamy and fresh; the trail isn’t meant to linger but it’s noticeable on the skin.
