What we do in Paris is a secret, hence the name. It seems the secret is lots of vanilla and nothing new, honey and vanilla gently intertwined with that almond note from tonka bean. I don’t know why they classify it as fruity floral; to my nose, it’s sweet and vanilla-forward, very tender and romantic, but nothing innovative apart from the name. If you like dominant vanilla, you’ll like it. For me, it’s all noise and very little substance.
First off, a huge round of applause to Dominique Ropion, a visionary in the industry. Without getting into technicalities, it’s a well-crafted and very pleasant fragrance. The whole composition has a soft, balanced sweetness that shows great mastery in controlling each note. In my view, it doesn’t seek to shine but to enchant. It’s not a niche masterpiece, but certainly a notable composition.
Diapers. Full stop. In my opinion, it’s not worth it, plus it doesn’t last at all.
