It’s a sweet, warm vanilla but very refined. Smells fantastic on skin and clothes. The pear and apple opening is top-notch, preventing it from becoming cloying. After a few days, it intensifies and competes with luxury perfumes. For the price, it’s a steal. If you layer it, it goes perfectly with white florals and soft fruits.
This is the second Chanson I’ve bought and it lasts less than the rose and lemon one, which is odd since I bought the vanilla version in a pack. It’s fruity vanilla with pear and sugar; a touch of apple cleans it up without being overwhelming. Simple yet sophisticated, lasting 3-4 hours. It’s not as youthful as others; it’s my daily vanilla. It doesn’t invade, nor is it sharp.
Surprising this EDT vanilla. Fresh opening with sweet vanilla, nothing gourmand. It’s cosy and pleasant, a beautiful combination. With a bit more projection, it would be a ten.
Loads of pear. Aquatic pear in the opening, then vanilla and cotton candy. Fresh citrus, sweet, light, summery. Doesn’t last long but it’s ideal for spraying without worry and perhaps for layering. Pleasant.
Since Puzzlemania, I haven’t been dazzled by a Coty like I have in 20 years. Unexpected fruity opening of apple and lots of pear that make you want to eat them, followed by flowers in an ambered cotton-candy sweetness, closing with warm vanilla. Notable evolution. It’s not intense at first but on clothes, it’s noticeable the next day. If you love sweet vanillas and pear, give it a try.
