  It opens with a moderate trail and a soft sweetness from black pepper, followed by cinnamon. Upon wearing it, it seemed very similar to Zegna Intenso, perhaps due to that spicy note. It also vaguely reminded me of Xeryus Rouge, thanks to the pepper and sandalwood. After three hours, I noticed the cypress, and the sandalwood and vanilla began to stand out. By five hours, the sandalwood dominated, and at twelve hours, it persisted with occasional touches of vanilla. It’s a moderate spicy oriental fragrance, typical of the 2005–2010 era, with longevity exceeding twelve hours on my skin from a 1.3 ml sample. It seems ideal for winter, the shoulder seasons, and perhaps more so for evening wear.

It also vaguely reminded me of Xeryus Rouge, maybe because of the pepper and sandalwood. After three hours, I detected the cypress, and the sandalwood and vanilla started to become prominent. By five hours, the sandalwood took over, and at twelve hours, it lingered with sporadic hints of vanilla. It is a moderate spicy oriental fragrance, typical of those released between 2005 and 2010, with longevity over twelve hours on my skin from a 1.3 ml sample. It suits winter and the shoulder seasons well, perhaps more for evening wear.

  I recently remembered I had this perfume hidden away in a corner. Back in the day, it was a great disappointment; I almost felt cheated. To me, the scent smells like doll plastic: plastic, plastic, and more plastic. At least it stays close to the skin and you aren’t reeking all over the place, because truly, it’s lamentable and artificial. I’ve never liked Dolce & Gabbana men’s fragrances, but this takes the crown for the worst, even though it’s part of an anthology collection.

  I recently dug this perfume out from a forgotten corner. At first, I was hugely disappointed, almost feeling cheated. The scent reminded me of doll plastic – yes, lots of plastic and nothing else. At least it’s discreet; it clings to the skin and doesn’t smell like a disaster in public, because frankly, it’s very artificial and lamentable. I’ve never been a fan of Dolce & Gabbana fragrances, but this is the worst of them all, even though it comes from a luxury collection.
