What stands out most is the almond and vanilla. It has a longevity of 8 hours and a projection of 3 hours. It’s identical to Pegasus by Parfums de Marly; you can get it between 25 and 40 dollars online. Excellent for cold weather, evenings and romantic dinners. I give it 8.5/10.
I tried ‘Pegasus’ by Parfums de Marly some time ago and, although not enough to write a full review, it left its mark on me. I’d dare to say this Craze by Armaf is very similar, almost identical to my memory, except that this one is fresher, more versatile and easier to wear, as if it were the ‘Eau de Toilette’ version of ‘Pegasus’, and yet its longevity and sillage are very good. The trio of almond, vanilla and heliotrope are the protagonists from the start, subtle alongside bergamot, sage and a hint of cumin, creating a fresh and aromatic opening. Then, in the heart phase, these notes take centre stage with light touches of jasmine, lavender and sandalwood; it’s sweet, floral and delicate, very refined. Here you understand the comment about its femininity, although I don’t see it; it is indeed graceful. In the base, amber and sandalwood take over with a vaporous almond-vanilla and a floral nuance, a delight. It’s marked as masculine, but I see it as unisex; a woman would wear it perfectly. Performance is very good: 7 hours on my skin, moderate sillage at the start that drops to skin-level before merging. Ideal for temperate climates, spring and autumn; extreme cold or heat doesn’t suit it well. It can be worn day or night. Its price, aroma and performance are a cocktail recommended for those who like delicate, sweet and elegant scents. I like it very much.
A bit feminine for my taste, as I prefer spicy notes like Spicebomb or The One by D&G when it comes to sweet fragrances. Supposedly it’s a clone of Pegasus by Parfums de Marly, which is said to be unisex, but this Craze feels more weighted towards the feminine side. There’s something I don’t like, I think it’s a metallic touch. This is very subjective; it’s not my style, but I’ll leave my opinion. PS: Very personal opinion and experience.
Excellent work by this house. The perfume is very good, with notable longevity and projection. Vanilla and almond predominate, resulting in something almost hypnotic, highly addictive, extremely creamy and sweet. It’s a pleasant proposition and subtly seductive, highly recommended in my opinion.
Great work by Armaf. The blend of almond and vanilla is very well executed, a sweetness that doesn’t feel heavy. Watch out, it’s not for spring/summer. As a weak point, the notes feel a bit artificial, but it doesn’t detract from the quality. It conveys elegance, ideal for formal wear (dinners, work). It’s a triumph in terms of sillage and longevity; I’ve worn it for over 12 hours and I can still smell it. My advice: look for it on American websites; you can find it for under 30 USD.
I bought it blind and, while it doesn’t disgust me, it has left me a little indifferent. The aroma is good, but I expected it to be sweeter and more potent based on online reviews. The longevity is good, but the projection disappoints; it feels linear and reaches a point where I forget I’m wearing it. For me, it’s more of a daytime scent than an evening one and tends to go unnoticed. The notes that stand out most are almond and vanilla. I should keep testing it, but at 24€, it’s very well done. Scent: 7, Longevity: 8, Projection: 6, Versatility: 10, Value for money: 10. Overall rating: 7.
Oh my goodness, what a beast of a fragrance! I bought it blind for the price and upon smelling it, I thought: ‘right, it smells good’. A little sweet for my taste, but I gave it a chance. I wore it to work and my wife asked what perfume I was wearing, my mother said it smelled lovely, and a colleague at the office noticed it too. My advice: apply a few drops only, as this is an EDP (or should I say EDP Ultra Intense). The sillage and longevity are brutal; the next day my shirt still smelled in the laundry basket.
Sandalwood, almond and amber dominate the fragrance, with other notes appearing and disappearing. While I don’t recognise all of them, the scent is casual and unique, steering clear of the generic. Ideal for temperate climates and daytime wear. Guaranteed originality if you’re looking for something off the beaten track. Longevity: 6.5/10, Versatility: 8.5/10, Projection: 7.5/10, Sillage: 8.5/10, Scent: 8/10. Total: 8/10. Great price.
This is serious with Armaf Craze. I was given a sample a long time ago by Jerry Drake and I liked it so much I didn’t stop until I got the bottle. Craze is a triangle of vanilla, heliotrope and bitter almond that play off each other. Whoever expects something sweet better look elsewhere, because the heliotrope and almond make it soapy and herbal. Very adult, sensations of clean, sophisticated and special. It comes in a beautiful box and nice bottle, projecting an image of an adult and experienced person. Excellent longevity, good projection and longevity superior to almost any designer. Its clean and soapy tone makes it versatile, although almost exclusive for fresh temperatures. I can’t see myself using it with heat. As a perfume in itself, it seems to me the best I’ve tried from Armaf so far.
I’ve tried enough Craze to have a defined opinion. A novel aroma with the Armaf seal, which puts everything on the grill but always with willingness and quality above the price. They got it right with this. Certainly it reminds of Pegasus, but it has its own DNA, personality and unique charm. It’s not citrusy nor does it stop being so, nor floral nor does it stop being so, nor sweet nor does it stop being so. It’s a perfect balance highlighting heliotrope, bitter almond and delicate vanilla. Very addictive. It gives the sensation of smelling good, you look elegant, not clean. Putting it on feels like you’re leaving a modern pastry shop, not because it’s gourmand but because it opens the appetite towards something delicious. I love it, I enjoy it and I recommend it.
I’ve been using it for several days and I already know what it is. The first thing I notice is almond, lavender and vanilla. Being sweet, bergamot, jasmine or amber fall into the background. The best is its dry-down; for 35-45 euros (now discontinued) it’s worth trying. In my opinion it’s very good and gives several turns to similar ones. I haven’t tried the Pegasus from PDM, but they say it’s similar; well, that’s what I take. It’s noticeable that it’s not niche because the performance is average. Others say 10-12h, but I have 6-7h, although you pay much less than normal. Good performance, super pleasant aroma, sweet but without overdoing it. Everyone liked it. Armaf makes good perfumes within everyone’s reach, although in EDP they still are 25-30 euros, so the performance is as such. Very good work, I love Craze and I encourage you to try it.
I bought it a few weeks ago and the truth is, it doesn’t work for me at all. I don’t know if it’s the heliotrope, but it results tiring, boring and even makes my stomach turn; I’ve felt uncomfortable and had to change my shirt because I can’t bear the smell anymore. It’s deceptive: at first it seems it doesn’t smell like anything, you put 3 or 4 sprays and nothing, but after half an hour it smells beastly and that floral is unpleasant for me. Fortunately it’s unisex and my wife loved it, so I passed it to her.
¡Woooaaaoow! I didn’t believe in this because it’s gourmand and my past bad experiences, but trying it I fell in love instantly. The bitter almond with creamy vanilla is wow. I bought it for cold/autumn and it doesn’t smell like anything gourmand. The same day I put it on, my girlfriend and her mum said it smells exquisite and told me to use it more. Great longevity, about 12h, top projection with a 5h halo. The price is a joke for the juice it contains. A maximum addictive aroma, I recommend it blind.
I’ve been wearing it daily for a week and the truth is it’s identical to Pegasus: it projects the same and lasts a bit longer. I’d describe it as a creamy, metallic vanilla, nothing gourmand. It reminds me of that metallic touch of CH 212 VIP, but here it’s a much better achieved vanilla version. The only caution is with pH, as with anything containing sandalwood; you may like it more or less. I can only count on my fingers the niche fragrances with quality-smell for under $40 and this is one of them. Certainly, it’s staying for a lifetime.
Blind buy and total fiasco; I read the previous reviews and I don’t know if I’ve been sold something else… this smells like vanilla gasoline. Applying little and after at least an hour it could be tolerated, but it’s evident it’s not for me nor for those who have smelled it on me. That said, the longevity is a lot, there was no way to get it off me. As a curiosity, I add that with this they fill the DUA bottles of “Mytical Horse”, and moreover they don’t bother to disguise it a bit, then they sell it at $60 for 30ml claiming it’s a clone of Pegasus and they stand there as wide as they are.

I’d describe it as a creamy vanilla with a metallic touch, nothing gourmand. It reminds me of the metallic note in CH 212 VIP, but in a vanilla version and, in my opinion, much better executed. This perfume has just arrived. Unlike the previous one which came from India, this arrived very quickly. It’s from 2019. I haven’t heard any of the ones people say it resembles, but I’ve smelled this scent before or that’s the sensation I have. I like it a lot, honestly. What a pity that each person’s tastes make us accept or reject a perfume; I can’t believe others didn’t like it for such a wonderful aroma. Now I’ll let it settle for a few days; although the first spray leaked liquid instead of pumping three times (which makes it come out with more force), I notice that after a few days it smells better and with more intensity.
Good afternoon. I bought this perfume guided by the positive reviews, and the truth is I feel I’ve lost my money. I haven’t heard Pegasus and I don’t think I will, but smelling the cap (I bought a decant) it seemed terrible: plastic, spicy and something that made me sneeze. I don’t think Pegasus smells like this, or perhaps who knows. I don’t dare to resell it, exchange it or give it away; I found it horrible. I have colognes from the cheapest to designer brands, nothing expensive, but all have their charm even if they are generic; this Armaf one disappointed me. I’ve tried Black Beast and it smells good, and I have Hunter Intense which is of good quality. If you plan to buy it, even if it’s economical, I recommend trying it first; the described notes misled me and it’s nothing like I thought. Best wishes.
Starts as a vanilla and almond cocktail with a wink of black berries and an almost imperceptible floral; the cumin is barely noticeable and I detect no citrus. An hour in, the nut and amber emerge, clinging to the skin during the dry-down with a sandalwood that intensifies until 12 or 14 hours, leaving a trail of sweet talc before fading. I loved it. By the way, I’m surprised how many modern fragrances, whether spiced or fruity, end up equally flat; brands like Azzaro Hot Pepper, Lomani Ab Spirit of Millionaire, Armaf Craze, Guess Seductive Noir, Halloween Man and the inevitable One Million mark that trend. The downside is you buy one for the notes and end up with several that sound alike. A couple of points for Armaf, Lalique and Mauboussin: good value for money and almost no advertising here in Chile. Cheers.
It smells floral and sweet without being cloying; it is elegant. I bought it a year ago and two weeks later ordered two more bottles to use as a signature and ensure a bloody brilliant Bach. It is totally versatile, elegant and unpretentious. The longevity is extreme on skin, easily surpassing 24 hours. Another gem in perfumery, I love it. Excellent in cold and medium climates, though I also use it in heat by controlling the sprays. Spectacular.
For those who have tried Pegasus, here are my impressions on skin: applying one on each hand, Craze smells more synthetic and harsh at first, but within seconds it stabilises and smells very similar to Pegasus. They are almost identical from the second hour onwards, and as they are linear, they sit neck and neck; in fact, Craze wins on longevity (5-6 hours versus 7-8 hours on skin, and certainly on clothes too). Pegasus has a rich, rounded opening, which Craze lacks, but they eventually reach the same point after an hour and a half. If you like that DNA, give it a try for the price; knowing what the other smells like, it will never be a bad purchase. PS: the cap is poor and the spray isn’t the best, but what matters is the juice inside.
It’s rare for me, but this fragrance made me hate the scent. I started with a blind buy, driven by YouTuber hype that attributes magic to it which simply doesn’t exist for me. Based on the notes, I thought it was perfect, but upon arrival, the opening smelled like Armaf: horrible and synthetic. I let it slide because I liked CDNI, and over time the white flowers blended with almond and vanilla. The longevity is beastly, but those projected synthetic bursts aren’t the best; I’d prefer that performance in a perfume I actually love, like Spicebomb. The straw that broke the camel’s back was a day eating tacos; it filled my nose and I didn’t enjoy the food at all with just one spray. I swapped it for an Explorer and it was the best decision. Scent: 4/10, Longevity: 9/10, Sillage: 8.5/10. Weather: Cold. God’s plan 🦉
Smells excellent and lasts incredibly long, which is a pity because it’s an absolute nightmare. You put it on, and even if you shower three times, that cloying sweet synthetic scent won’t go away. It’s definitely in my top five, of course, but among fragrances that make me nauseous.
There is a lot of talk about it smelling like Pegasus but I don’t see it. This one has a bitter brash synthetic almond note that gives me nausea. I bought a bottle of Craze and threw it away the moment I smelled it. That’s why I wasn’t even going to try Pegasus but a friend insisted and passed it to me. What a change like night and day!
It’s incredible how pH and skin make every nose a world of its own, but I’m surprised by the negative comments. Perhaps because I’m a woman, it works differently on my skin. I’m currently testing Craze and Pegasus, and from the start they seem very similar. Also, I own Dior’s Hypnotic Poison, and if I compare them, I’d say they’re the same: P and HP lose intensity while Craze holds up, with a hint of lavender emerging (and I’m not a fan). They have distinct nuances, but if I don’t test them together, I wouldn’t notice. I like it on my skin or on my partner’s, and he likes it too.
I don’t know what Pegasus will be like, but this fragrance doesn’t work for me. It smells like burnt plastic to me and gives me a bit of a turn-off. I won’t deny it has that gourmand touch, but the synthetic note just isn’t for me. I’m keeping it for a cold summer, because where I live it doesn’t get cold; perhaps I need that chill to understand it.
After seeing so many recommendations on YouTube, I tested it before buying. How glad I am I didn’t buy it blind, because to be honest, it didn’t convince me.
One of the most successful clones I’ve ever tried. I compared it side by side with Pegasus by PdM and they smell identical, even in intensity and longevity, which are both impressive. It’s a fragrance that doesn’t leave anyone indifferent and allows for no middle ground: you either love it or hate it. The scent is very peculiar and nothing to buy blindly; I like it without going crazy, but I know it’s not to everyone’s taste. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly Pegasus, look no further, this one matches it in every way.
I bought it on the recommendation of a friend who is a YouTube reviewer. I wore it for nearly a month and didn’t like it at first. However, at around 4 degrees, my opinion changed completely: the performance in very cold weather makes the notes vary entirely. That’s why I recommend it for winter; it’s sweet without being annoying or cloying as some say.
I don’t know if it resembles Pegasus by PDM, but what I do say is that I didn’t like it at all. It smells metallic and overly sweet, almond-y, too feminine. I’m not even sure a woman would like it. It’s not my type of scent. PD: Very personal and sincere opinion.
I’ve seen very negative comments about this perfume, but I just say that every nose and every skin is a world. Depending on the weather, the perfume evolves differently. I’m new to this, but my sense of smell is tuned to classify scents. I don’t believe in YouTube reviews or anyone else’s comments until I smell the fragrance myself and analyse the top, heart, and base. Don’t judge at first impression; you have to try it properly, and that takes time. An example: El Club de Nuit Intense.
It’s different depending on whether you wear it cold or warm. In cold weather, I feel it develops better.
Armaf Craze isn’t for every nose; it’s not my taste, but I respect others’ opinions. I haven’t heard of Pegasus by Parfums de Marly, but where I disagree is with the claims about its resemblance to Dior’s Hypnotic Poison: to my mind, the avoindry note is very subtle and what stands out most is the heliotrope.
This is one of those perfumes you should never buy blindly. It’s a very difficult scent to understand or wear, perhaps because this Armaf is very synthetic, but it made me feel sick from the first spray. It was a waste of money.
I hope it’s a bad clone of Pegasus… because it smells like vanilla and sesame, it’s tremendously FOME, without any grace. It lacks personality and, above all, masculinity. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either.
Never use this perfume in enclosed spaces, and certainly not on sunny days. Use it on fresh, cloudy days.
Armaf Craze: intriguing sweetness and youthful magnetism. I bought it blindly out of curiosity and didn’t like it at first. But something curious happened: every time I wear it, my partner notices it instantly and loves it. That made me pay more attention. The opening is sweet but not cloying; the bergamot barely whispers, while the bitter almond is noticeable from the first minute with a peculiar creamy touch. The cumin is very subtle, almost imperceptible, but it’s there like a subtle wink. It evolves into a warm base of sandalwood, vanilla, and amber. The sweetness persists with elegance. The sage, if present, is a well-executed magic trick without stealing the spotlight. It has a young, mischievous soul. I don’t see it as formal or mature, but perfect for night outs or informal dates. Ideal for men aged 18 to 30 looking for something coquettish and seductive without effort. It wasn’t love at first sight, but it’s winning me over with time.
It’s the most synthetic perfume I’ve ever smelled. Sweet, almond-y, and avoindry, but ultimately it smells like biscuits and is ultra-synthetic. It’s a perfume for children. That said, it lasts and projects massively. I haven’t heard of Pegasus by PDM, so I don’t care if they’re related.
You sometimes find a coin, right? Well, this Craze took me completely by surprise the moment I smelled it. The quality-to-price ratio is brutal; very avoindry and, to my taste, excellent. At first, it’s alcoholic, with cumin taking the lead alongside a super creamy heliotrope and bergamot, but it lasts just long enough to reveal a sweet almond heart (nothing bitter) and an amber with sandalwood. It’s a floral-sweet scent without being overly floral, and in the base, patchouli appears even though it’s not listed; that’s what I like most. Just be aware, the bottle is a bit of a mess. 👀
