This Armaf is inspired by Montblanc’s ‘Emblem’; they share almost all the notes, except that the original’s leather is replaced here by iris, sage, and lavender, but otherwise they are identical. It could be called a clone, as people say, but in my humble opinion, it is fairer to call it a flanker. The influence of its inspiration is noticeable, yet it diverges with a much more aromatic and fresh development. Personally, I love this ‘Voyage’ more than the ‘Emblem’; it remains a generic and slightly sweet fragrance, but its opening is fresher and spicier, with more cardamom. Then, the iris adds subtle talc-like nuances that the original lacks, and to finish, its dry-down is the same: that sweet woody tone close to the skin, generic yes, but very pleasant. Truly, a good perfume, nothing original, but certainly very satisfactory and effective. Its performance is good, moderate to high in longevity and moderate to low in projection, nothing spectacular, but within the current average. An aroma suitable for daytime wear in cool or mild climates, comfortable and very pleasant to the nose. If you are looking for something fresh with good performance for daily wear, this is a good candidate.
