  The more I use it, the more I get hooked. Getting hold of a bottle of L’Empereur by D&G proved difficult, but in the end, I managed to find one. On application, it’s citrusy with a barely perceptible hint of iris. After a few hours, it shifts into something woody and spicy, featuring rosemary, musk, and pepper. Its heart is that scent of hay, oakmoss, tobacco and sandalwood. Perhaps it is the most obscure fragrance in the D&G Anthology collection, which makes it incredibly exclusive, as if it were reserved for the last Habsburg emperor in a world where only a handful of customers remain. This is the world we live in: global communication has made words superficial, and commerce has reduced art to its price tag.
