  • I adore this perfume. The only drawback is that it doesn’t last very long on my skin. It’s elegant, sweet, floral and fresh, perfect for women aged 25 and over. Ideal for a date or for spring/summer.

  • An elegant floral scent with excellent top-note longevity. I am utterly captivated by both the fragrance and the aesthetics; the colour combination is simply gorgeous.

  • I liked it. It’s a soft, delicate, and elegant perfume. It presents a modern and fresh rose, nothing intrusive, which blends well with the water-lily, marking a slight aquatic trend. What caught my attention is that it’s suitable for everyday wear, even in summer, when you want freshness and cleanliness without falling into citrus; it’s slightly sweet. Highly recommended for those who like soft and romantic perfumes. Its trail is moderate and longevity is very good, ending soft, musky, and perhaps a bit soapy. It’s perfect for any occasion; it doesn’t clash in enclosed or warm, sunny environments, very typical of the Italian style: ‘dolce far niente’. The little bottle also seems lovely, and the cap represents the rose… The advertisement spot with Sophia Loren is gorgeous!!!

  • I thought I would find a sweet, enveloping, and delicate scent… great disappointment. Upon sensing the first notes, it’s a very striking sweet-floral, but then it evolves exactly like its predecessor.

  • Although I’m not usually a rose fan, this fragrance has completely won me over this season. It is an intoxicating, soft, and very feminine floral. It opens with a radiant neroli and white flowers, accompanied by a juicy hint of pear or apple reminiscent of the previous Dolce edition, plus that aquatic freshness of the water lily. Then the rose takes centre stage: soft, fresh petals of Wild Rose bringing youth, blended with an intense, mature Turkish Rose. The base of musk and sandalwood lends a clean, powdery, soapy finish. Ideal for all seasons except extreme heat or intense cold, suitable for both day and night in casual or work settings. Very Italian, though calling it ‘excelsa’ is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration. The bottle retains the original shape: matte glass, thick and heavy, feeling cool to the touch, with pink liquid, curved lines, and very comfortable in the hand. The cap is a sculpted red flower, but what a pity it is plastic; I would have preferred porcelain, and the black ribbon to be lace or silk. For the price, more care could have been taken. The advertisement is a luxury featuring Sophia Loren and Kate King, Ennio Morricone’s music, and a dewy red rose. I believe this is not the scent of two, but of three generations: the young and sweet Rosi (Kate), fresh and innocent; the elegant and feminine Rosa (Sophia), traditional yet passionate; and the mature and wise Rosaura, who can still be Sophia Loren, a grandmother playing with her grandchildren and throwing coquettish winks. A versatile fragrance for daughters, mothers, and grandmothers. But beware: the classic D&G problem on my skin. A very soft trail, almost skin-scent, with poor longevity, around four hours. Very little fixative for such a lovely fragrance. A pity. Try it before buying blindly. Congratulations to those who enjoy it for many hours due to their chemistry. Healthy envy…”. “I expected much more from Dolce Rosa Excelsa. It is a lovely, intense, refreshing, and feminine rose, but very simple. There are already many rose fragrances following the same path. I perceive a very fragrant and fresh rose, with soapy notes that give a sense of cleanliness, musky and slightly talcum-powdery once it settles. It is a pretty but common perfume; I don’t feel it stands out, nothing that screams ‘here I am’. Nevertheless, it is so pretty yet linear, very versatile, with good trail and longevity. I give it a 7/10.

  • Although rose isn’t my favourite floral, this spring-summer there are many dedicated to it, and this is one that has caught my attention the most for being an intoxicating, soft, fresh, and very feminine floral. The opening has a radiant neroli and white flowers, with an intense, fresh, and juicy touch of pear or apple that recalls the previous edition and the aquatic quality of the water-lily. Then the rose appears in all its splendour: very soft and fresh petals of Wild Rose giving youth and innocence, joined by a feminine, enveloping, intense, and mature Turkish Rose. The base is musk and sandalwood, with freshness, cleanliness, something powdery, and soapy. Suitable for all year round except hot summer days and cold winter nights, day and night, in informal to semi-formal settings. A very Italian fragrance, though calling it ‘excelsa’ is presumptuous. The bottle maintains Dolce’s original shape: matte glass, thick and heavy, feeling cool, with pink liquid, ergonomic, curved lines, and pleasant to the touch. The cap is a sculpted red flower, but a pity it’s plastic; I would have loved it in porcelain. The black ribbon looks like an elastic; better would be lace or silk. For the price, they should have taken more care. The advert is an Italian luxury with Sophia Loren and Kate King, music by Ennio Morricone. I agree with the image of the red rose with dewdrops. In the spot, there’s a meeting between the two women; I’d say it’s the scent of three generations: the young and sweet Rosi (Kate), fresh, modern, and innocent; the elegant and feminine Rosi of Sophia, with passion and intensity; and the maturity and wisdom of Rosaura, who can still embody Sophia Loren, not as a handkerchief grandma, but playing with the grandchildren and throwing a coquettish wink. A versatile fragrance for daughters, mothers, and grandmothers. But the problems are the usual ones with D&G on my skin: trail too soft, almost skin-scented, and poor longevity, around 4 hours. Very little fixative for such a pretty fragrance. What a pity. Try it before buying blindly. Congratulations to those who enjoy it for many hours due to their skin chemistry; I have a healthy envy.

  • Oh, Rose, what a pity you don’t suit me. It was a gift from someone who wanted to please me, and upon seeing ‘Dolce&Gabbana’, they thought it would be incredible. How wrong they were. What a pity I couldn’t ask for the receipt. I was surprised that others could identify notes; on me, I only sense a powerful, sweet, dusty, and soapy rose from start to finish. It’s linear, generic, simple, boring, and introverted. It doesn’t even have a pretty bottle; it looks cheap for its price. The longevity was good, over 7 hours, but the trail is very weak, not even radiating upon application. I wouldn’t recommend it; there are many more original and cheaper options. Basically, you’re paying for the logo. It’s funny how they praise the advertisement and not the fragrance. The ad is gorgeous, but what’s the point if you’re selling something off-the-shelf at a high price.

Rose as the protagonist with a very fresh, sweet, and light opening, very feminine; it even gives me a maternal sensation. I see it as ideal for a mature lady seeking something fresh, sweet, elegant, and feminine. Good performance on my skin: seven hours of longevity and average projection. However, nothing beats trying it yourself as skin chemistry varies from person to person, but I do suggest it as a fragrance that hardly offends anyone, except those who cannot stand the scent of roses. Simply beautiful and very faithful to the style of this Dolce line.

I expected much more from Dolce Rosa Excelsa. It’s a lovely, intense, refreshing, and feminine rose, but very simple, and there are already many rose perfumes following the same path. Here, I sense a very fragrant, fresh rose with soapy cleanliness touches, musky, and slightly talcum-like as it settles. It’s a pretty but common perfume; it doesn’t stand out, and I don’t feel it shouting ‘here I am’. Still, it’s versatile, with good trail and longevity. I’d give it a 7/10.

  • An elegant floral scent with excellent longevity. I absolutely love both the fragrance and the beautiful colour combination.

  • A rose-led fragrance with a fresh, sweet, and light opening; very feminine, even giving a maternal sensation. I see it as perfect for a mature woman seeking something fresh, sweet, elegant, and feminine. Good performance on my skin, around 7 hours with moderate projection. Although chemistry varies from person to person, I could suggest it as a fragrance that hardly offends anyone, except those who can’t stand roses. Simply beautiful and very faithful to Dolce’s style.

  • Marei Yape

I love this perfume, but the only drawback is that it doesn’t last long on my skin. It’s elegant, sweet, floral, and fresh, ideal for women aged 25 and above. Perfect for a date in spring or summer.

  • Marei Yape

I thought I’d find a sweet, enveloping, and delicate scent… a huge disappointment. Upon first application, it’s sweet-floral and very striking, but then it evolves exactly like its predecessor.

  • mademoiselle_evelyn

It was my first designer perfume. At first, I liked it; it was very elegant, but the rose note became overwhelming to the point that I haven’t worn any perfume with this dominant note since.

  • Candycandy40

It’s a dusty, elegant rose that reminds me of Lady Vengeance by JHG, though this is darker. I see it as ideal for spring and autumn due to that powdery touch, which doesn’t suit hot summers or very cold winters. Perfect for formal events, with moderate trail and longevity, almost on the lower side.
