  The concept of a car is usually simplified to chassis, engine, and wheels, but with brands like McLaren or Porsche, you see incredible dimensions that deserve their own category. That is Elixir de Kemi: an introspective attar where the oud leads the orchestra with a formidable accompaniment. It’s as if in 1908 I was driving a Ford T and a Panamera pulled up beside me; I don’t know if it’s a car or a category of its own. Sweet, animalic, balsamic, and addictive, it lasts forever and projects so much elegance that you feel obliged to dress according to the fragrance rather than the other way round. Unisex, for any season, and a pleasure before bed. It’s a before and after, and not always was the past better. Enjoy it.

  Haha, ‘shit with flowers’ fits perfectly. This smells much more like excrement than the Kemi, and the nagarmota gives it an extra density from start to finish. It’s not that I dislike it in intimate settings, but it’s not something you’d want to wear out on the street, at least not me. Just for true oud lovers.
