Descripción

Emblem by Montblanc is a spicy aromatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2014, this composition was created by Sonia Constant and Olivier Pescheux. The top notes unfold freshness with helichrysum, bergamot and cardamom; the heart reveals violet leaves and cinnamon; while the base settles on tonka bean and woody notes.

  • I like it; it makes me want to have a boyfriend with this scent. It’s a young masculine fragrance, nothing like an old man. It lasts quite a while.

Emblem smells rich, starting very sweet and spicy but becoming soft and even fresh over time. The violet leaves are the most distinctive notes, bringing vague memories of Fahrenheit and Aqua Fahrenheit. As it dries, the woods become noticeable and it maintains the sweetness softly. Overall, it’s aromatic and herbal, but very soft and lacks personality due to resembling several fragrances. The scent is pleasant and sensual, though not memorable and easy to confuse. Longevity was medium-low, hardly reaching six hours, and projection was low except for the first fifteen minutes. Casual use and very versatile.

I don’t like it; it’s sweet and generic. Now I hate it because when I opened my L’Homme by Yves Saint Laurent this morning, it immediately reminded me of this emblem. I hope it passes soon.

  • I was gifted a sample and tried it after prolonged wear. The opening is sweet, pleasant, and herbaceous with a citrusy touch of grapefruit. The cardamom dominates, and the clary sage, a spicy herb, is noticeable and I like it. A liquorish, fruity, sweet, and spiced ensemble emerges. The violet appears in the middle, accentuating an intense floral structure with cinnamon and cardamom. The dry-down, perhaps a weak point, fades into soft woods. I rescue the pleasant, versatile, harmonious, youthful, and subtle aspects, far from the roughness of One Million or the overmassified Vip. This makes it interesting; few use it and it’s very pleasant. The negatives are the weakness in projection and longevity. In balance, approved with a good grade.

  • It’s a generic fragrance that repeats itself across other lines with similar components. It’s not bad, but if you like perfumes, choose something less mass-market. It has similarities to C.H. Formen by C. Herrera, though softer with lower sillage. It’s not on my list. Someone said it reminds them of Davidoff Cool Water Night; whoever said that must be suffering from a cold, it’s not even close.

  • It’s curious that brands selling extreme exclusivity later have perfumes imitating One Million. This one performs well, but that sticky, rancid cinnamon scent doesn’t suit me. The violet is noticeable but drops significantly in volume. It’s good value for its fans, but it offers me nothing.

  • Cloying. It starts with something that chills my nose and moves into a mix of sweet dessert, Vicks VapoRub, and watermelon bubblegum. At some point, it reminds me of a Joop! but more unhinged and nonsensical.

  • Espartaco

It’s the One Million version of Invictus: litres of ambroxan and the sensation of pouring watermelon juice all over yourself. Only at the start do you catch something elegant and woody from the violet and sage leaf, which creates a mirage of wet birch, but it quickly turns into another foul clone smelling of sugary water. I get angry when it’s given to me, although it’s not a drama because Montblanc has never been refined.

If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, nocturnal Montblanc option, this is a sensible choice, although it doesn’t last very long. Cheers.

I bought it blindly and it was a mistake. Upon trying it, I found it repulsive, and even though time has passed, I still don’t like it. It smells like One Million with violet, which makes it unpleasant. Anyone I’ve let try it has made a face of disgust. Full stop.

I like the scent it leaves on my husband’s skin; it seems sensual. The trail and longevity are moderate. The packaging is very pretty.

  • Those who say it smells of ambroxan, sweet and horrible like One Million, have confused the perfume. This is the most ignored and undervalued fragrance from Montblanc, but the truth is exquisite. At first spray, the cardamom and spices are very pleasant, and its second facet is an elegant, talc-like perfume, and I mean an elegant masculine talciness. With normal performance of 4 to 5 hours of projection depending on the skin. Good quality and cheap, definitely worth it.

This is by far… the only bad thing (very bad) about Montblanc… just smelling it was incredibly unpleasant and even repulsive (they sold it to me as their best, 2015 if I remember correctly). For me, it’s unisex, leaning towards feminine (I don’t know who said this was masculine), but a feminine scent that abuses sweetness and synthetics, absolutely nothing to do with 212 VIP. I see it for very young people who like partying… someone older or with better taste will consider this a joke of very poor taste.

  • @byrgertidesson Amen. Plus, it smells like any air freshener from an Abercrombie & Fitch or Hollister store. Thousands of fragrances have followed this absurd trend for years just to claim they smell ‘masculine’ or ‘pleasantly spiced’. Please admit that while I used to like it, once you know more of Montblanc’s offerings, recent ones seem lacking in quality. Starwalker or Individuel have more charm than this.

  • jaiiferr1505

Bought it blindly; it smells nice but doesn’t last at all. That’s why I don’t think it’s worth the money.

One day I was with my girlfriend testing fragrances, and when she smelled this, she said: I LOVE THIS! and of course, she bought it. This Montblanc Emblem EDT is SEXY; women adore this kind of aroma in a man. It reminds me a lot of YSL La Nuit de L’Homme EDT. Well worth the price. Longevity and sillage are moderate; it’s for short distances, being close to people, ideal for romantic dates, the office, or the bank, etc. BEST REGARDS!

  • Juan_11121

I had a bottle and never bought it again. If it’s for men, it smells good, but the scent is a bit generic, like a magazine fragrance; it doesn’t stand out without being bad. Its performance is average for Montblanc: little sillage, poor projection, short longevity, and it stays very close to the skin quickly. I’d advise buying it only if you’ve tried many other options and want to experiment with something different.

  • Nothing new, yet it’s spectacular. After all, it was created by a perfumer thinking about how a sexy man should smell to a woman. It smells clean, like a men’s shampoo. I love scents that evoke cleanliness with a hint of daring, sweetness without being cloying, masculine yet wearable by girls… Highly recommended.

  • Bought it blindly and it smells nice, but nothing more. It lasts me an incredibly short time, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

  • Smells great, very sweet (reminds me of Al Haramain Amber Oud GE when it dries down), but the downside is it fades very quickly. What a pity.

  • I remember that at first it seemed very strong, but I couldn’t forget it. When I gave it a second chance, I loved it and it’s one of the ones I use most. When I first put it on, it smells like something I can’t describe; I imagine what they call ‘ozone’, very pleasant. As it dries down, it smells of subtle cinnamon with discreet woody notes. It lasts more than eight hours on skin; even at night, I notice it close to my skin and on my clothes. Around the sixth or seventh hour, a colleague asked me what I was wearing because it reached him from over a metre away, which surprised me. Some women don’t like it. It has excellent value; I found it for $850 Mexican pesos for 100ml. The presentation is striking, but the cap is fragile. I give it 10/10 for scent, longevity, and projection. It deserves a trial before judging; it could be a pleasant surprise like mine, and I haven’t found anything that resembles it. I’ll buy it again when I finish the bottle.

Greetings, briefly: I stopped using it for a while for reasons I can’t quite explain; I had other options. One day I decided to return and changed my mind; I received compliments from acquaintances and strangers asking for the name. It’s not the most long-lasting, but it has a trail in the first few hours. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a signature scent, but yes if you want something different that brings compliments and you have nothing else to wear.

  • poblete.erik@gmail.com

In short, it’s a night fragrance. It lasts five hours and is perfect for family events or going to a restaurant, nothing too formal. Rating 9/10 for price, scent, and longevity.

  • chiko chonny

Very subtle, yet a well-mannered fresh masculine scent with decent longevity. The main note is the best: it smells like very cold tonic water with lots of bubbles. It leaves that bitter aftertaste that throws you off a bit and gives it a dark, masculine touch. It’s a real winner, although the INTENSE version loses the subtlety that makes it charming. Ideal to wear with a black t-shirt, perhaps Black Sabbath or Megadeth.

  • Aban_Juniar

I just bought it and it reminds me of The Icon by Antonio Banderas, but softer and warmer. I’m not sure which came first, but I think they’re on the same line due to the bergamot and cinnamon.

  • JuanMa2412

The subtle Montblanc Emblem is true to the brand: discreet, distinguished, and elegant, though perhaps too subtle. It smells good, but nothing stands out; it’s elegant and huggable, yet lasts only a breath with little sillage. Maybe it shows up on some skin types; it’s pretty but not memorable. For personal use, it’s fine, and the bottle is gorgeous and creative, but I wouldn’t buy it again. The price is excellent, but there are more potent options in that range.

  • RicardoPowa123

It’s a direct copy of Roberto Cavalli Uomo; side by side, you can’t tell any difference.

  • Delicious sexy fragrance, masculine, fresh and with a very soft warmth that I would use without any problem as a signature scent.

  • I wish I had this lotion; I’m a woman and love wearing it occasionally because it drives me wild. It’s seductive, rough, and mysterious, something truly out of the ordinary. It’s not for everyone, but for me, it was love at first sight.

  • molletmod.73

Commercial, pleasant, suitable for all men and ages, like CH Men but without the soft leather that recalls sweet tobacco. In the case of Mont Blanc, it’s more cinnamon, violet and hay-scented, bringing it somewhat closer to the bestseller YSL La Nuit de L’Homme EDT. To me, nowadays, in 2024, it seems a rather generic scent, already heard a lot on the market. The bottle design is nice, very much in line with Mont Blanc’s elegant style (feathers, luxury pens). Longevity and projection are typical of the house, quite moderate leaning towards weak. The price is reasonable. Nowadays it’s hard to find in major perfumeries; if you search, especially online, you’ll find it. You don’t pay a fortune for this; more than 60 euros for 100ml is already expensive.

  • No complaints about this perfume at all; I used it years ago and it worked brilliantly. Good longevity, elegant yet casual. A fragrance with a lovely scent and lasting power.

If you want to give CH a different vibe, use this as an alternative from the line. It brings back lovely yet bitter memories (it smells like last winter), and has become my favourite for that sweet, floral, creamy cardamom with a citrusy grapefruit finish. The drydown, as my friends described it, is chocolatey, more like Emblem than Bad Boy. What’s peculiar is how it adapts to the environment: try not to wear it where it might smell off, because even if others don’t notice, when you pass by, the scents blend together. It wasn’t very long-lasting, but the trail was decent; those nearby will definitely smell it. I recommend applying it to the head, neck, shoulders, collarbones, and ears.

  • This Mont Blanc has a well-controlled citrus touch with a sweetness that lingers. It’s a rich, distinctive fragrance that doesn’t remind me of anything else. I liked it enough to buy it after trying it in-store, but in daily wear, I find it very weak and short-lived, so I’d use it for specific occasions and reapply. Mont Blanc has unique fragrances, but they simply don’t last long. It is rich, truly, but it doesn’t stay on much.

  • It could be considered ‘blue’ given its great versatility, making it ideal as a signature scent. Citrus, spicy, and slightly sweet notes stand out. It is moderate in longevity and projection, yet it earns compliments for its pleasant aroma, even if it lacks innovation. That said, it is quite linear.

  • It was my signature scent and I’ve returned to it. I find it versatile: a citrus and slightly sweet opening that transitions into a cinnamon note I enjoy, creating a warm and subtle fragrance that isn’t cloying or overpowering. Longevity is around 5 to 6 hours with a moderate trail. The scent feels somewhat generic, but it works.

  • A good fragrance, citrusy with sweet and spicy notes. Ideal for spring or autumn; I don’t see it working in extreme heat or cold. It suits both day and night. It lasts about five hours, reducing to a personal bubble afterwards; it projects well for the first hour before fading.

  • Erik el Rojo

A very rich fragrance, but with a weak trail and only two hours of longevity on the skin. To improve performance, I recommend around 15 sprays on skin and clothes. I use it for the gym and it works well because it’s not cloying and lasts just long enough for a workout. The performance is what really lets it down.
