  • It’s a delight! I’m a modern 50-year-old man, and this has the scent of a gentleman like me. I hadn’t used it for a long time, but today I gave it a chance. It’s a rainy day in the Mexican Caribbean, very humid but not too hot, ideal for dressing formally and smelling amber-like. To me, it smells like Zacapa XO rum. The liquorice and sweet notes stand out, and the floral trails and clean leather earned compliments from several ladies (and two gay colleagues). It regularly lasts four or five hours, but today, perhaps due to the humidity, I’ve worn it since 7 am and it’s 2:19 pm with plenty of projection, earning me another sexy compliment in the canteen. 😎

  • Luckily, I managed to get an old batch at a good price, and it’s a completely different story. Nothing like the current ones. A delight with another highlight and more depth.

  • I’ll be brief: it’s intoxicating, addictive, and extremely sexy. It’s that scent that drives women wild in a vehement way. It’s semi-warm but not overpowering; in fact, it has a slight freshness despite being sweet. I met it in 2014, and it’s my favourite of all time.

  • I hesitated a lot about buying the current version due to comments about its poor projection and longevity, but I took the risk. I used it today, and although it’s not enormous, it has a good sillage and those close by can smell it well for the first four hours. I applied six sprays on my skin and four on my clothes at 6:15 am; I arrived at 5 pm and could still smell it. Then I worked out, and when I sweated, between 5:30 and 6 pm, I could smell it even stronger. I have oily skin and I was super pleased. Over time, as it oxygenates, it will surely improve. Sometimes the skin, the pH, or the batch makes the difference. This batch is from 2022.

  • Delicious, with very soft leather. Perfect for indoor outings, dinners, or with your partner. Perhaps better for autumn and winter, though it’s not so heavy that it can’t be worn in spring. In summer, it might be a bit much. I have a 2022 batch that lasts 6 to 7 hours, so it’s fine; I don’t understand why people say it doesn’t last at all. The scent is exquisite and the price isn’t excessive. A great fragrance, normal longevity, I recommend it.

Of all my perfumes, this is the cheapest and the one I like the most. It’s as intoxicating as you can’t imagine; I’d buy it a thousand times. It doesn’t have a huge sillage, but it has an incredible longevity on the skin.

  • My husband wears it and I adore it. It has a decent trail; he wears it to work, and I can still smell it when he gets home. I like it so much that I’d love to have a more feminine version. Unfortunately, CH for women doesn’t resemble it at all.

  • Still a gem. I bought the new version with trepidation due to the reviews, but upon wearing it, all my fond memories returned. I didn’t let emotion cloud my judgment and wore it all day. It doesn’t disappoint: it remains that wonderful sweet scent, and I enjoyed it all day long moving about. For me, 10/10.

A mature, characterful fragrance. It opens strong with citrus, wood, and a floral touch. The dry-down is spectacular: vanilla takes the lead, supported by wood and a well-integrated leather. Longevity isn’t its strongest point, but the projection certainly is. Warm and rich, perfect for dates or cool and mild days.

  • I love it! I bought it because of Jeremy Fragrance, who did a great job and gave me many compliments. It’s sweet with a touch of leather that isn’t animalistic at all. I own both the bow-tie version and the current one; the big difference is the performance. It’s not worth spending extra on the bow-tie version.

  • EnolMenéndez

It smells rich but lacks power, zero punch. It scents only one metre away for half an hour, with a minimum of eight sprays. If you’re going out, take a decant. It smells good, fresh, clean, and slightly sweet and vanilla-like. It’s not a bad perfume, but I wouldn’t buy it again; I’d prefer to try other things.

  • Hommeintense90

Refined, elegant, sweet, and restrained, the opposite of what is sought today (infinite longevity and annoying projection). A fresh and green opening that turns into sweet vanilla leather. An exquisite development at every stage, a perfume for you and those around you. A ten.

  • A charming and youthful fragrance where leather, vanilla, and sweet notes predominate. Exquisite for cold weather. I keep a 2017 batch that projects and lasts well, about six hours. A scent that everyone likes.

  • Approaching forty, I say this fragrance is now a classic and, perhaps like me, charming. I like its soft leather accord, complemented by the sweetness of vanilla and the depth of wood, a delight. It’s more mass-market now, but it was a great proposal. The reformulation has affected projection and longevity, but it remains my daily wear in cold climates. I’ll always recommend it and it will have its place.

  • I love the opening, fresh but short-lived, as it evolves quickly into heart notes of woods, nutmeg, and saffron. Then the base notes emerge: vanilla, leather, and ambroxan. It’s sweet without being cloying, perfect for spring without overdoing it in extreme heat. A rich, casual, and versatile aroma.

  • This fragrance has everything that could possibly be good in a masculine scent. Good composition, it distils elegance and personality with unique nuances, and boasts a perfect bottle and atomiser. It’s masterful and full of style. All-rounder? Yes. Five stars? No… six.

  • HolaCristiano7

To be honest, I don’t like it at all. I have no issue with sweet scents, but this one makes me feel sick rather abruptly. I simply can’t stand it. It’s like the sensation of getting drunk on Fireball whisky, spilling it on your t-shirt, and waking up the next day with a hangover and nausea just from smelling it. It upsets my stomach just by inhaling it.

  • Javier Elias

Despite giving CH Men many chances, I can’t find any logic in it. It smells of wet earth, as if I’d rolled in a mud-caked lawn under the rain.

  • These days I’ve sprayed it fewer than 20 times; it smells good but it doesn’t last a treat. I don’t know if anyone else notices, but the dry-down smells very similar to Allure Homme Sport. It’s suitable for everything, 24/7/365. On 30-01-25, a month later, I can say that if you already own Le Male by JPG, don’t spend a penny on this CH. After the opening, you get the same sensation on the skin. The big difference is the longevity: Le Male is still better.

  • AntonioLeón

I already tested this fragrance on blotter and skin in a department store. I hope it was because it had another’s dry-down, but on skin it smelled of tamarind from start to finish. The dry-down tried to hint at a vanilla-leather note, but it was a false alarm; it continued smelling of tamarind. I repeat, I hope it was due to another’s dry-down. This is one of the fragrances I’ve had the greatest desire to own.

  • AntonioLeón

Okay, what I notice most is leather, sugar, citrus grass, and woods, which add up to tamarind (I don’t smell vanilla, so I’m not sure why it’s listed as predominant). It definitely smells of tamarind, fresh and masculine, with Carolina Herrera quality, but I expected something else. It smells of tamarind on both blotter and skin.

  • A perfumery classic. The opening is rich, like sugar seasoned with a hint of acidity that fits perfectly. It then evolves into a light suede-like leather with a vanilla twist, sweet but not cloying. It’s versatile, ideal for semi-formal events or weddings. Lasts about six hours with a respectable four-hour projection. Now that it’s at a good price, it simply must be in your collection.

  • Capitánbarco

What a delicacy… It brings me so many memories and seems as rich as before. It’s one of the few I’ve always wanted to own. To those worried about the versions: I had the red ribbon formula and now the latest; the difference is subtle, perhaps this one is a bit sweeter at the start and doesn’t feature that accord so much, which reminds me of an alcoholic drink, maybe wine. As for performance, I can’t be sure as I don’t remember how long the previous one lasted and I haven’t used this one enough, but it seems to have less projection (though far from being as short-lived as people say). In summary, it’s within my top 3 of everything I’ve ever tried.

  • At first, it smells of grass with flowers, elegant and masculine, but it doesn’t last long, around 30 minutes. Afterwards, it smells entirely of tamarind and doesn’t evolve further. A disappointing fragrance: it excites you at the start like many ex-partners do. Longevity: 2-3 hours on normal-to-dry skin. Projection: weak, about 20 minutes. Scent: 4/10 because expectations aren’t met. I compared it with two Bad Boy fragrances: Le Parfum and Cobalt. While it’s not great, it’s easier to like than Le Parfum and more masculine than Cobalt.

  • Emilio E.M.G.

It’s made to please and be as versatile as possible, and it achieves this with a high score. In 2025, for under £70 for 100ml, I believe it has a fantastic value for money.

  • Although I’m usually reluctant to use the term ‘versatility’ as I prefer fragrances designed for a specific moment, I have to say this CH Men is one of the few that delivers on that promise. PS: I’d love to try the 2009 batches or the early years, as it’s said the reformulation killed it. I’ve been wearing the current formula for 5 or 6 years and I love it.

  • horaciofauda

I like it; it doesn’t drive me mad and I detect a green note; for me, the usage is very versatile.

  • agustin99

A beautiful fragrance, but a pity that the longevity and projection are no longer what they used to be. I bought the first bottle in 2012 and it lasted a treat; in 2017 it was still performing well. I refilled it two weeks ago and it’s almost a rip-off: it loses potency quickly and stops projecting in under two hours, leaving only a trace on the skin. At the current price, it’s simply not worth it.

  • DavidLópez

CH Men blends sweetness, elegance, and a touch of wood; ideal for those seeking something versatile and refined. While its longevity depends on skin chemistry and reformulations, it remains a solid choice in the men’s fragrance market.

  • Cazaputas42

Excellent! I haven’t much to add; a fragrance to mess you up… Good longevity and projection…

  • It’s a well-established fragrance. Its notes express that fresh character. On application, it smells of damp, fresh earth, with sweet leather surrounded by herbs. Over time, it mutates into a meeting of precious notes like saffron and nutmeg. It leaves that cashmere leather, amber, and sandalwood at the end. It’s a delicious fragrance. You can buy it or gift it blind.

  • Definitely, I haven’t found another perfume with leather and this scent. It’s exquisite and savoury; I love it. That sweet leather makes an excellent combination for my taste.

  • It’s strange because it reaches a point where the leather and that sweet note smell like tamarind. It’s not unpleasant, but it’s curious; it makes it fresher. After a while, the leather becomes noticeable and the sweetness fades; quite pleasant.

  • I gifted this to an ex a long time ago because I loved it so much. I’ve bought it for myself now; I feel it’s very unisex. It’s fresh and soft, and I’m going to wear it for the gym.

  • I don’t know what it is about CH fragrances that I’m so obsessed with that rich leather note… 🫣🤤😮💨

  • Wlad Molina

Tamarind? The opening is fresh and sparkling, with prominent citrus notes and green accords that give a light energy. It’s not elegant or sophisticated; it has an informal air that makes it easy for everyday wear. Over time, nutmeg and a soft woody note emerge. The curious part is that sour-sweet sensation reminiscent of tamarind pulp: a playful nuance that lasts for hours. As it dries, the woods intensify and a hint of leather appears, while the sandalwood adds warmth without being overpowering. What makes CH Men unique is the blend of citrus, spices, vanilla, and leather; that sour-sweet accord is its signature. It works well in the office, though not for a super-formal setting. It’s for someone who wants to project freshness and approachability without pretension. My rating: 8/10. A rich fragrance that marked the beginning of a recognisable line for Herrera, with its own stamp on the male world.

  • Jeison Zabaleta

This is a beast of a fragrance. I used to wear it for nights out or going to the disco; the longevity and projection are off the charts. For me, it was a total success, and I’ll be buying it again. If you have a collection, this is a must-have. It’s not an odd aroma, but those leather notes really stand out. I used to call it ‘Sex Lotion’; it’s a 10/10.

  • I can see myself wearing this a few years down the line, or perhaps when I’m a bit more mature. Just be warned: if you wear it at 16 or 17, people will tell you it smells old. It’s a fresh scent with nostalgic vibes, heavy but not too much, old-fashioned yet just right for today. I’m not sure if I’ll buy it given the price, but it is pleasant.
