I just tried it at PH and it surprised me; it smells a lot like the late CH Men Insignia, perhaps slightly softer in projection but with that characteristic smell; did you miss the Insignia? Go and try it. Note: the bottle is ugly in my opinion.
At first, it smells very much like the original CH MEN, it is slightly heavier on the leather and has a very light earthy base from the start. If you like the original, you will hardly dislike this one; they are very similar. Easy to wear, could be a signature scent. Update: the projection is about an hour and a half, and longevity on skin isn’t much, around two or three hours, after which it sticks to the skin. On clothes, it lasts about eight hours; the first six hours feel good, the last two are more intimate. It’s not a bad perfume if you like the profile, but it doesn’t stand out in performance.
This is a CH Men with a renewed packaging.
At first, it smells like the original CH Men, with a more pronounced leather note and an earthy base noticeable from the very first second. If you like the original, you’ll love this as they are almost identical. It’s easy to wear; I could even make it my signature. The projection lasts about an hour and a half, but on skin it doesn’t last long, only two or three hours before it clings close to the skin. On clothes, it reaches eight hours; the first six are fine, while the last two are more intimate. It’s not bad if you like the profile, but it doesn’t stand out in terms of longevity or projection.
Launched in 2025. The bottle is the same rectangular shape with a good cap, but it features a dark leopard-skin-like adornment on the back, very 70s Glam-Rock style, which might appeal to some or disgust the average buyer. The scent is very similar to the classic CH MEN (which now has very low performance), but with better longevity, a more modern and youthful smell, without falling into sweet or blue notes. It opens with a charming touch of fresh sage that doesn’t last long, leaving behind a marked amber suede base that is rich but not annoying. I don’t see it for boys under 25 or serious men over 55. They say it has only three notes, but anyone can tell it contains more. The leather is very soft and velvety, nothing like the hard leathers found in Kilian Dark Lord, Memo Paris, Gucci Guilty, John Varvatos, Tom Ford, or dark Arabic scents. Does it resemble Insignia? I don’t know, it’s almost a unicorn and I haven’t smelled it; some say it does. Does it resemble Privé (the flask one)? No, I loved that one, I still have it in reserve; it smells more of hazelnut, soft leather, whisky, cardamom, and habanero. It is different from this Wild Love. I don’t understand why Puig and the CH bosses launched it as a limited edition, as if it were niche like Amouage or Malle. Personally, I’m repelled by the snobbery of creating exclusivity in commercial products just to make money from the public. It smells very good, it is modern, unique, and versatile, although for extreme heat there are better options. Important: it didn’t come out very expensive, at least here. Against the clock: it doesn’t smell very different from the classic, so if you already have a similar one, it’s a redundant purchase. And two, if you are a hardcore fan of hard, macho leathers, as others might say, this might seem a bit ‘girly’ to you. Advice: never buy blind, but if curiosity strikes, don’t get too excited, mate. Go to a perfumerie and try it. If you like it, buy it straight away without delay. As it is limited, it will disappear in no time. If you don’t grab it soon while there’s hype, you’ll end up looking foolish paying a fortune on foreign websites or the grey market of speculators.
It is fresher and has more leather than the CH MEN, but as it dries down, it smells the same, perhaps lasting a little longer. If you already have the original, this is irrelevant.
When I first smelled it, I thought it was just a design change because it smells exactly like the classic CH Men, but seeing the different notes confused me. If you already have the original, this isn’t necessary, and to my mind, the design is rather ugly.
It opens dominated by patchouli, then moves to sage and leather. Very pleasant, but with low projection and short longevity.
CH Men Wild Love is an aromatic, woody, and leathery fragrance. It has a sweet and herbal opening, very similar to the original with that touch of sugar and violet leaves. Even though they don’t list them, they are there in good quantity. Over time, a leathery and woody accord appears, making this new version the most faithful to the original. It is used for work, the office, casual outings, or dates. The ideal seasons are spring, autumn, and winter, both day and night. Its longevity was good, around 8 to 9 hours with a regular trail. It doesn’t have a distinct aroma as it is similar to the 2009 version, but it remains attractive and doesn’t smell outdated. I’ve liked it very much.
CH Men Wild Love is an aromatic, woody, and leathery scent. It opens sweet and herbal, very similar to the original with that touch of sugar and violet, even though they don’t list it; it’s there in abundance. Over time, the leathery and woody base emerges, making it the most faithful version of the classic. It goes brilliantly for work, the office, casual outings, or dates. I think it’s ideal for spring, autumn, and winter, both day and night. In terms of performance, it lasted between 8 and 9 hours with a regular trail. It doesn’t have a distinct character as it is almost identical to the 2009 version, but it smells great and doesn’t feel dated. I’ve really loved it.
It breaks the mould. It’s not bad, but it’s different and won’t be a mass favourite. Smells very herbal, like tea, like yerba mate. Too original. It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s quite ‘special’. None of my friends liked it. It has nothing to do with Scandal Absolu Intense, what a ridiculous comparison.
A rich scent that brings back memories of my first bottle of classic CH Men, when it wasn’t discounted so heavily and everyone was giving me compliments. It’s not for everyone, but I absolutely love that sweet blend with a leather note that doesn’t overpower, making it ideal for dates. The projection and longevity are very good. It’s a good perfume, even if it doesn’t bring anything new; if you like the classic CH Men, you must have this—it’s the steroid-enhanced version.
A rich scent that reminded me of my first bottle of classic CH Men, when it wasn’t so discounted and I received many compliments. It’s not for everyone, but I like that sweet combination with a leather note that doesn’t overwhelm, ideal for dates. It has excellent projection and longevity. A good perfume, though it offers nothing new; if you like the classic, you must have this, it’s the steroid version.
It doesn’t resemble Scandal Pour Homme Intense at all! What a nonsense.
Of course it’s the classic CH Men, though as soon as I sprayed it, I thought of a touch of Le Sel d’Issey.
I’m trying it and already own it. At first, the leather note is very strong and animalistic, but I think it will change with time. I’m not in love with it yet, but I’ll give it another chance to see if I end up liking it.
Per-fu-ma-zo! I was very surprised by the scent and performance of this CH version. It smells of quality and you can tell: I’m writing this with one arm full of it and that’s all I can smell. It’s one of those perfumes that makes you want to wear it for its sheer level. Very balanced and aromatic. After an hour, I took it to school and my son asked what perfume I was wearing, saying it was among my favourites. Yes, it made it into my top ten. My tastes are fruity (Invictus Victory Elixir, Hawaís Ice), but this competes with them. It doesn’t resemble those; it takes a different route, perhaps the CH Men path. I just bought Birds Paradise blind on Cyber Monday.
Per-fu-ma-zo! The truth is, I was very surprised by the scent and performance of this CH version. The smell exudes quality; right now, I am writing and I have a strong trail of this perfume on my wrist, it’s the only thing I can perceive. It is one of those perfumes that makes you want to wear it due to its quality, it conveys a high level, and it is very balanced. After an hour of testing, I went to pick up my son from school, and when he got in the car, he asked what perfume I was wearing; he said it was among the best in my collection. Yes, it has made it into my top ten. My tastes are more fruity, with Invictus, Victory Elixir, and Hawaí Ice at the top, and this has already slipped into the top three. I’m not saying it resembles those; it takes a different path that I didn’t know today, perhaps that of CH Men. I just bought Birds Paradise blind taking advantage of Cyber Monday, let’s see if that one works out too.
I tried it and it didn’t convince me. It’s not bad, but it’s not a wonder either; more of a meh. I hope something better comes out next year. The patchouli and sage combination gives me a damp feeling, almost like cheap deodorant.
I tried it and it didn’t convince me; I expected more. It’s not that it’s bad, but it’s not a marvel either; more of a MEH. I hope the one coming out this year will be more to my taste. For now, the combination of patchouli and sage gives me a sense of dampness; I don’t know, it smells like cheap deodorant.
I bought it blind and it didn’t disappoint; it’s not a beast of a perfume, but it won’t let you down. Longevity is 6 hours, with an average projection of an hour and a half. What I feel is something herbal and wild, with a light suede base.
I bought it blind and it didn’t disappoint. It’s not a beast of a perfume, but it’s always there for you. Lasts about six hours with a moderate projection of an hour and a half. Smells herbal and wild, with a very faint suede base.
I fell in love with this fragrance from day one, even more than the women’s version, but I was put off by that cucumber note I already had in my collection. Still, it’s a delight: it smells fresh and aromatic, though I think the sage is what gives it that character. The bottle is divine.
