  • A fragrance worthy of the house! The packaging is beautiful, a lovely burgundy that makes it stand out, in the typical 50ml Xerjoff bottle. It arrives with a bang; the power invades everything. It smells of a majestic, very balanced set of spices over an ambered, vanilla, and powdery base, typical of a distinctive, elegant, and opulent oriental. These aren’t natural spices, but the finest extraction of each, masterfully combined over a luxurious base that explodes. After a few minutes, in the dry-down phase, the gourmand notes emerge: difficult to distinguish if it’s coffee, tea, cocoa, hazelnut cream, or masala… like that hot drink in a dark, cold café, covered by a haze of incense. It’s a blend of fine spices embraced by warm vanilla, creamy amber, and a gourmand taste of hot drink, with a slight powdery touch settling on the skin. Projection is moderate to high and longevity is exceptional. It reminded me of Baruti’s CHAI: both have that quality, majestic spiciness, depth, warmth, and complexity that make me feel hugged and comforted. The difference is that Golden Dallah has a gourmand side that leans towards ‘X’ and doesn’t incline, whereas Chai irresistibly evokes its inspiration, masala tea. Golden Dallah has better performance; in my opinion, it leans slightly more feminine, while Chai is neutral and unisex. Both are autumnal and winter scents, not very versatile, more for personal enjoyment. I struggle to find occasions to wear them because they evoke very precise and sporadic sensations.

Don’t buy blindly: it’s for special occasions, better to test before spending on 50ml. The scent is exquisite and all the notes are noticeable, though it’s not pure coffee but spiced with coffee touches, hazelnuts, and roses. I settled for 15ml because with four sprays it lasts all day, ideal for autumn and winter. If you’re looking for pure coffee, try Intense Café by Montale for her or Awake by Akro for him, both exquisite.

First rule: do not buy blind. It’s not that it’s bad, but it’s for special occasions; better to try before spending on 50ml. The scent is exquisite and almost all the notes are clearly noticeable. It’s not a pure coffee perfume, but spiced with touches of coffee, hazelnuts, roses, etc., with no single note dominating. I settled for 15ml as I believe they will last a long time; with four sprays it lasts all day and I’ll only use it in autumn and winter. If you’re looking for a coffee fragrance for a woman, try Montale’s Intense Café (rose and coffee). For a man, Akro’s Awake is an exquisite ambered coffee with a very marked coffee note.

I’ve tried countless fragrances and, as of today, Golden Dallah is my favourite. Sweet, unique, enveloping, I’m in love with this scent. 10 out of 10.

A good oriental-style perfume, like those Turkish coffees with many spices. It has all-day longevity and projects for about four hours. People like it, though it’s not one that asks for compliments.

All it took was testing a 2ml decant on skin and clothes to fall in love with this beautiful perfume. That’s what Xerjoff does: when you think you’ve found the best, you discover another that equals or surpasses it. It’s unisex, slightly masculine due to the strength of the spices: cardamom, clove, cinnamon, perhaps ginger, all over a woody base led by a characteristic Xerjoff Oud, of exclusive quality, warm, powerful, and addictive. In bursts, there’s a sweetness of cocoa, vanilla, and hazelnuts, but the coffee keeps it neutral, so I don’t consider it gourmand. It’s a unique blend, high quality, and completely addictive. I place it in my top 10. I’m happy to own it, but mostly to be able to wear it; despite its complexity, I find it versatile. I don’t recommend buying blind, but if you like spiced oriental scents with Oud, it’s a safe purchase.

Golden Dallah is amber, spiced, and, although I won’t go against the grain, I’d also categorise it as gourmand within the Coffee line. For me, it’s the best in the collection, surpassing its sibling Golden Moka. It’s exquisite: a wealth of exotic spices, a faint incense that isn’t ecclesiastical, a wonderful coffee adorned with cocoa, hazelnuts, and tonka bean giving it just the right sweetness, plus warm amber and a very perceptible rose. It transports me to a luxurious Arab café in the desert by an oasis, drinking coffee amidst spice aromas. It conveys maturity, calm, and security; it’s so addictive I can’t stop smelling myself. Highly recommended, it drives me mad.

Finally! After trying everything in search of my obligatory Xerjoff, this is the one that hit the spot. Warm, clean, with smoky rose and a subtle coffee note, so well-composed it’s addictive. Flawless quality and longevity as expected from the brand. Highly recommended if you enjoy gourmands, even though this isn’t one.

Finally! After trying many perfumes from the brand that left me wanting, this one hit the mark. I feel a collection needs a Xerjoff, haha. It’s warm, clean, with smoky rose and a subtle coffee, so refined it’s addictive. The quality is undeniable and the longevity excellent. Highly recommended if you like gourmands (even though this isn’t strictly one).

  • Absolutely brilliant all-rounders! A genuine bomb for spice, incense, and wood lovers. It feels modern and ideal for anyone 25 and above: it earns compliments without being intrusive, very pleasant and inviting. On rainy days, it’s a gem: smelling of chocolate, coffee amongst woods and incense with a sweet touch. I have a modern batch and it’s incredible. It’s not about seeking attention, but about feeling good and letting your surroundings enjoy it.
