  I’m a total sucker for woods, resins, and especially incense; after a thousand trials and a few disappointments, this Kalimat is a gem you didn’t realise you were missing. It’s a woody bomb, dense and sweetly smoky, offering pure luxury at this price. On opening, the oud shines in its gentle, balsamic and spicy version, with a very marked incense vibe that adds mystery and sensuality. It then softens towards creamier, sweeter Western woods, yet without losing that incense essence. Suddenly, the initial magic returns: oriental woods, spicy and exquisite, with vetiver and musk in delicate doses that only add nuance. It’s soft, ethereal and almost dreamlike. The longevity is brutal, lasting over 10 hours without reapplication; the sillage is moderate, typical of attars. Ideal for cool or temperate climates, day or night. It’s an intimate, refined and delicate fragrance, a softer version than Azza Silver. An incredible perfume at an even more incredible price. Highly recommended for lovers of woody and resinous scents; these perfumes make you think of the rubbish sold today at gold prices.
