  • After watching hundreds of review videos of top perfume lists, from YouTubers whose scent lines I like, I decided to try Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet. A single spray on my wrist and my olfactory tastes gave a 360-degree turn, I don’t know if forever. What a smell! What a wonderful and overwhelming smell Oud Bouquet has! It was instant love and will be eternal. I didn’t buy it for one reason: at that moment, my wallet couldn’t stretch that far. I continued researching it and its ingredients, and found reliable reviews that Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian was its clone, excellent price, plus 10% discount on Notino. I ordered it blind without thinking. God, what a discovery: a clone of my desired Oud Bouquet? I would dare to say 95%, enough to become my new jewel. The opening is strong, very strong the smell of roses and resins, enveloping to the point of not being able to, sexy from the first minute, but it’s not a sweet sexy; although it is a little sweet, it’s not an innocent sexy, it’s overly dark, not a playful sexy, but one that crushes in its path with great majesty. Inappropriate for sweet, innocent, tender, and shy girls, unless they want to dress up as a fierce wolf; this aroma is for a woman with an unparalleled character and security. It evolves impressively, settles, and you end up dressed from head to toe in opulence and seduction. You must like the smell of roses, myrrh, oud, praline, and cinnamon; you must want to step out of that current massive inclination towards gourmand to be able to enjoy this great work of art. I have had to agree to share it with my 12-year-old son; he puts a single spray with moderation on his wrist, because for the first time he has discovered in this fragrance a scent that hypnotises him. In it, he perceives differently, the oud and myrrh stand out, with rose in the background. I don’t think it’s an appropriate perfume for a teenager, but he likes it so much I couldn’t refuse to share it occasionally. It will always be in my collection without a doubt.

  • In that fleeting instant of sunset, when the last glow of the sun departs and you prepare expectantly for the night, live this fragrance. In that toast of aged alcohol, in the most strict and romantic intimacy, between the smell of passion and naked bodies for love, wrapped in a delicate blanket and the only faint light of sweet-smelling candles, this fragrance sleeps. Shaghaf Oud breathes only that unique and distinguished air exhaled by spices: hot, intoxicating, and appetising. A work of art by Swiss Arabian; another. Unique, indescribable without metaphor. A step further for perfume lovers. It is rising to another level, something that happens when you discover Arabic perfumery. Perfectly balanced, that shrill saffron in the opening will be tempered in an unbelievable way as the oud appears. By the way, one of the best I have been able to enjoy. I disagree with several opinions regarding the magic of the famous rose-oud combo. In this perfume, from my modest opinion, the key lies in the oud-praline-vanilla. That’s where the magic is. Highly recommended for advanced users, even buy blind although it sounds bold. If you’ve just started in this world of fragrances, better to try first. Scent 10, longevity 8 hours with 5 sprays, good projection in the first four hours; not very versatile, restricts use to cold days. For personal enjoyment although it receives compliments. More masculine than unisex. Best regards, fragrance enthusiasts!!!

  • Without a doubt my favourite perfume right now. I met it through a YouTube review that I will never thank enough. It wasn’t my first contact with oud, but it was with this resin mixed with saffron and caramel. I love the bottle, which resembles a gold bar, and the scent is the most delicious I’ve tried: delicate yet powerful. Perfume lovers like others to appreciate our favourite scents, and this is champion in compliments. It’s true that it resembles Oud Bouquet a lot, but although this costs infinitely less, I wouldn’t swap it for Shaghaf Oud. This perfume shows that masterpieces can be made that hit the market for £25. I recommend trying other perfumes from Swiss Arabian and other Arab houses; they have niche quality at prices that prove that the best doesn’t always have to be expensive.

  • AGE: 24. TASTES: ORIENTAL WOODY. Although I’ve been buying perfumes for years searching for the perfect one, something always failed until now. I bought it blind because the reviews were good and I have no regrets. The bottle is well-finished and the lack of advertising is noticeable, hence its price of £26 on Notino. I’ve tried oud before, but nothing like this. The opening is spicy; the saffron accompanied by alcohol is very noticeable and can be intoxicating, like a plastic beach mat. That sensation lasts 30 seconds, but it’s not bad. Then it releases all its potential: strong, punchy, yet sweet. The vanilla and praline mixed with the oud are very pronounced. In my opinion, truly. I used it on a Saturday, and if sprayed well, it’s a compliment-getter. It lasts as long as the most expensive ones and its trail is impressive. You need to be careful when applying: better not directly on the skin, but in the air to let it fall. Otherwise, it can be unbearable. Summary: undoubtedly a great perfume, I would put it in the niche category and rank it among my best. If you want to stand out in an open afternoon-to-night environment or at a club, this is the one chosen. People turn around to ask what you’re wearing, although more than that, it’s a perfume to enjoy yourself because it always makes a presence. It’s more masculine than feminine; I wouldn’t consider it unisex. I don’t recommend it for teenagers, but yes, from the age of 20.

  • No, no, and no. Plastic opening that takes time to evolve. Try before you buy if possible. I’m not retracting Dame’s review, just giving my opinion.

  • This perfume leaves no one indifferent. The opening is artificial and ‘plastic-y’, but then it disappears, leaving a sweet, chocolatey oud. You can detect the praline, woods, oud, and vanilla, although I don’t perceive the rose. The trail, projection, and longevity are 9/10: if you wear it, you commit to living with it until the shower. It should have a warning: ‘Caution! Potent scent, use moderately’. I tolerate a maximum of two sprays; with that, I already leave a trail. I would use it in autumn and winter, or on cool summer evenings. It’s a scent you either love or detest. My mother hates it and calls it ‘the perfume of the thousand and one nights’, and forbids me from wearing it at home. My best friend, who works in perfumery, asked if I was wearing Dior Addict. They aren’t similar, but she noted some resemblance. I bought it blind hoping for something similar to Armani’s Rose d’Arabe (rose + oud), but it bears no resemblance. It seems closer to Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet or Jo Malone’s Velvet Rose & Oud, although they aren’t clones. In summary: a sweet, chocolatey oriental scent, unisex (for me, it doesn’t sound masculine), with outstanding longevity and projection. If you like this type of perfume, 100% recommended. I have to keep working with it.

Arrived yesterday from Amazon and I love it, though I have doubts about whether it’s genuine; anyone who has bought it recently, could they share photos of the box? Mine doesn’t smell of plastic when opened, but rather sweet, perhaps spiced by the saffron, then roses and praline, lots of chocolate with vanilla and a touch of rose. The woody note reminds me of incense, and over time, it leaves a sweet base like old wooden furniture in an Arabian salon. With two sprays it’s not too strong, but with four it’s addictive and super warm, although I notice it stings my eyes, is that normal? It’s my first Arabic oud, and although they say you either love it or hate it, I have loved it. I’m unusual with scents and rarely like anything, but this is for me. I bought it blind.

  • What a delight. I bought it thinking it was similar to Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet, but on my skin, they are very different: this one is more potent, long-lasting, and sweet. I see it as unisex, with a slight feminine leaning. Highly recommended if you like spiced oriental scents with an oud sweetened by praline. Excellent value for money; I would buy it again without hesitation.

  • A special fragrance, buy blind. At first, I hated it: the opening is strident, alcoholic, and features a disproportionate saffron note that made me think I’d made a mistake. But after ten minutes, everything changes: it becomes warm, enveloping, and creamy, with vanilla, praline, and a touch of soothing incense. The rose feels fresh yet wrapped. Longevity and projection are average. I planned to sell it, but now I’m waiting for the initial intensity to settle so I can enjoy that charming scent.

  • First and foremost, I want to thank all the positive reviews that led me to buy it after almost a year of thinking about it, just like at the Goya Awards. I am absolutely delighted. I bought it blind with uncertainty and I couldn’t be happier. The first time I noticed a synthetic, grating opening; I saw disaster coming; I had zero hope it would evolve into something decent. But my goodness, what a surprise… The woody note and the terribly chocolatey rose are a delight. As it settles, I notice more vanilla. What a beautiful, distinguished mix… I thought I was tired of the rose-oud-vanilla combo, but this perfume has turned out to be addictive. I apply it even to sleep, and still, it’s as if I never have enough. It reminds me of Velvet Rose & Oud by Jo Malone, but Shaghaf is sweeter and less powdery, with less rose. In terms of longevity, it performs well, but I wouldn’t say the same about the sillage. Perhaps because hearing it was a beast, I applied it timidly out of fear of exterminating my surroundings. In any case, this perfume envelops you and dresses you completely, literally. I’m sure the emperor in the story thought the same and no one understood him. I believe it’s a safe bet for any fan of sweet oriental perfumes.

  • Sergiomerida959595

Incredible value for such a low price: every spray is a bomb of longevity and potency; it’s one of the best in my collection. Totally unisex, but if you’re the type who only tolerates 100% masculine scents, don’t even think about it. I paid £23, and being an exaggerator, with just four sprays each time, it lasts a lifetime.

  • Naluapilar

Born from One Thousand and One Nights. With an excellent price, it outshines many niche perfumes. For winter, and never if you like discreet perfumes or hate oud. This little gem makes itself noticed; perhaps if it’s your first time with Arabic perfumes, it’s better to try a decant first. For my part, I could give more praise, and the quality-price ratio is marvellous.

  • The opening is disconcerting, a blend where you can’t distinguish anything because your brain collapses from the power and aggression. Gradually it calms down and a chocolatey rose emerges wrapped in oud, something gourmand, just enough. In terms of performance and projection, it’s among the best I own; it accompanies you from day to day even with a midday shower and lingers on clothes for weeks. It’s oriental, exotic, very unisex, and has an overwhelming presence; not advisable in enclosed spaces or in the heat, it would be an outrage. Outdoors, in the cold, or at night in bars, it envelops you and draws attention. If you survive the first 10 minutes, where the synthetic mix is annoying, the reward is an innovative, pleasant oriental aroma with hours of longevity. Highly recommended.

  • Danielle_Gris

I wanted to try an Arabic perfume. Generally, orientals don’t suit my skin; now I see that what doesn’t work for me is the hybrid interpretation made by big brands. Shaghaf Oud opens with something chemical and shrill (as if opening with pure alcohol). Once that passes, first comes the saffron, more the flower than the spice. Then comes wet wood, with a touch of raw cereal, like barley. At half an hour, there’s a sweet chocolatey rose, not the jammy sweetness of fashion, but of a chocolatier. In the cold, the cereal fades and the praline comes through. Longevity 8-10 hours, projection medium to heavy. P.S. In case you’re wondering, ‘shaghaf’ means romantic love/passion.

  • Reina Amigdala

I had this perfume on my wishlist for months. Every time I was about to buy it, I decided on another, but finally, it arrived. Another one that has stolen my heart. It’s mysterious and captivating, the type that makes me imagine a Middle Eastern woman, dark, with a halo of mystery and perfume. The opening is spicy (I smell saffron, I don’t perceive the synthetic notes they mention), but the dry-down is superb with a wearable oud, rose, and the sweetness of vanilla and praline. Longevity is BRUTAL; you can still smell it 15 hours after application, with a heavy sillage at first and moderate after about two hours. Beautiful, simply beautiful.

  • James Muchobelfo

After wanting to try this hyped fragrance for so long, I finally got a decant. The truth is, I love it, even though it wasn’t what I imagined (and blind buys often fail the imagination test). I expected more praline and vanilla, but it turns out to be an oud + rose combo with a sweet twist that sets it apart from the other two hundred. In the coat, a day later, it smells gourmand. Performance: I applied 2ml and was a bomb for the first hour, projecting everywhere. Then it faded and I had to bring my nose closer. Mind you, my sense of smell isn’t the best. Overall, it has won me over; I’m buying it. Wearable by a man, elegant and refined. Perhaps a bit intense at first, but it easily smells like €100-120.

  • Leelapoldina

I’m doing what they say not to do: buying blind after reading comments and watching videos. So far, so good. I was worried because I don’t own much oud and heard it’s very personal, but I hit the jackpot. I’m head over heels; I usually look for cheap perfumes and this is one of my most ‘expensive’ ones, with no regrets. The box and bottle are gorgeous; the unboxing was an experience. I think its strength and unisex nature are what won me over. Not for every occasion, I reserve it for nights; I’m not sure it will work in the heat, perhaps it’s too much. I like the strong, exotic opening and the sweet dry-down.

  • Brutal opening; I detect the oud and vanilla from start to finish. If you like sweet perfumes, this must be in your collection, it’s totally unisex. Ideal for cold weather, might be overwhelming in the heat. Longevity and projection score over 10, though I’d rate the aroma 5/10.

  • Look, a perfume under €30 that lasts about 12 hours on skin and clothes, not to mention the compliments pouring in and smelling absolutely divine. We go crazy paying €80 for something that fades in five hours. Food for thought.

  • Gonzaleztupu

Do not buy this blindly, I swear it smells like an elderly lady and a Chinese bazaar. Reviews and videos made me believe it was gold, but for a young person, it’s a monumental mistake. Longevity and sillage are top-notch, but the scent… that’s where the problem lies.

  • Vilmaypedro

They compare it to Oud Bouquet, but this one is more refined. I already own Oud Bouquet and always end up using this one because it has many more nuances, notes, and is more changeable and long-lasting. I can’t find that plastic note people talk about, and above all, the price-to-quality ratio is very good, totally recommended.

  • SeekerofHugs

I’ll be the one writing the negative review, so don’t kill me for reading this. I bought it blindly because of its resemblance to Oud Bouquet, which is a dry, velvety, chocolatey rose with vanilla, exquisite. This Shaghaf Oud has nothing to do with it on my skin. The opening is strident with an unpleasant chemical and a synthetic saffron that makes me ill. After 20 minutes, it becomes sweet and warm with lots of incense and rose, but I notice little vanilla or praline. After a few hours, it smells of male sweat with that unbearable saffron that won’t go away and makes my stomach churn; I had to take a shower. The sillage is moderate but it lasts over 12 hours, a monstrous unisex scent. I gave it several chances and sold it. I don’t recommend buying it blindly, but if it works for your skin, it has an unbeatable price-to-quality ratio.

  • I couldn’t handle this perfume; I can’t find anything masculine about it, so I gifted it to my mother.

  • I love it; it smells of myrrh with great character. The rose is soft and enveloping, and the saffron doesn’t smell like plastic, although it did sting my eyes a bit at first. I’m annoyed I didn’t try Oud Bouquet, as I think I would have preferred it, but this Shaghaf Oud is a brilliant Arab experience. For those who find the opening too strong, you probably haven’t heard Mancera’s Red Tobacco or Tobacolor. It’s clearly unisex, with a citrusy touch from the saffron, and the rose doesn’t stand out too much. I’ve been eating macaroni for nearly an hour and can still smell it, so the sillage and longevity are top-notch.

  • It starts strong, medicinal, and synthetic, lasting only a few minutes, very similar to the opening of Montale’s Oudmazing. Afterwards, it smells like Mancera’s Roses Vanille, that sweet vanilla-infused rose with oud. As it dries down, from a distance in waves, the vanilla and oud become noticeable, very similar to Mancera’s Aoud Vanille. It’s a powerful, sweet, and vanilla-rich blend, with a dark red rose and a very wearable oud. Highly recommended for winter; many people love it.

  • Hello! I’d say it’s about 90% identical to the current Oud Bouquet version, but with more sillage. It’s vanilla, creamy oud, and a very light touch of rose. I enjoy it on fresh days because with the heat, the oud can feel stifling.

  • Right now, it’s one of my favourites: sweet, warm, super original, and with extreme longevity. Watch out, don’t buy it blindly as it varies depending on your skin’s pH.

  • This isn’t just any perfume, nor is it one to buy blindly. Upon application, that touch of saffron has me absolutely blown away by an incredibly potent oud. It smells very woody, with a subtle hint of incense (even if it’s not listed in the notes). It’s sweet, elegant, and brilliant: with just three or four sprays, it fills the room. I still don’t know the longevity, but my expectations are at the ceiling. I see it more as a daytime scent than an evening one, although it may just be my taste. If you’re bold and enjoy gourmand and woody scents, I recommend it. It’s for a determined woman, feminine yet with character who wants to make an impression. That creamy rose gives it the feminine touch, and in my opinion, it’s not unisex. For me, it’s been a total success, 10/10.

  • Another piece of the classic oud/rose duo, but here the saffron truly shines upon application. It’s not a beast, though the hype is well-deserved for that spectacular scent. It starts strong but the longevity is questionable; after five hours, you have to press it against your skin to detect anything. Perhaps it needs more maceration, so I’ve tucked it away in the back of the cupboard to see if it improves with age. A practice becoming increasingly common in perfumery that shouldn’t be. If you like the oud/rose combo, this is one of the best current options: at this price, the quality surpasses commercial offerings and could easily pass for niche, with a notable resemblance to Oud Bouquet at a fifth of the price. Worth trying. Scent 8/10, Sillage 6/10, Projection 6/10, Longevity 7/10.

  • This is oud, more oud with a touch of vanilla and a barely perceptible metallic tone. It smells very good, but it’s not the kind of scent that makes you say ‘wow’. It has explosive performance, but it is a very linear aroma, with little variation. Nevertheless, I recommend it.

  • Loliky86

A great perfume. Maximum power, unisex. For me it doesn’t smell sweet; it reminds me very much of the Indian incense Nag Champa, it smells exactly like that. Brutal longevity, it smells until the next day. It is one of my most prized perfumes, especially due to the longevity. Sometimes I use it as a base with other sweeter but less lasting scents; with the Swiss Arabian, all of them intensify and with two sprays I have enough for the whole day. Indispensable in my collection.

  • naso_en_ciernes

A rose-oud combo, warm, winterly, comforting, with a sweet touch. There is oud here, I emphasise, and it’s noticeable. The undervalued quality of Swiss Arabian, as seen in Shaghaf Oud Aswad, is present: surprising performance. I wouldn’t recommend it for spring or summer, perhaps only on very cold nights. We know this vibe from years ago in Arabic perfumery, but I recommend trying it; it smells high quality, better than some in the hype (it’s very cheap versus the quality). Very good performance in longevity and projection; few sprays are enough. Similar to Lattafa Opulent Oud, but this Shaghaf is more luminous, crisp, present and defined, even of better quality. It is unisex. I believe without fear of being wrong that we must explore to be surprised by brands like Ajmal, Al Haramain and this Swiss Arabian, which are worth more than others that are becoming ‘westernised’ every day.

  • I came looking for something similar to Massimo Dutti’s Red Evening but with more longevity and sillage, and indeed, it is this one. They are identical.

  • I didn’t like it; perhaps it’s not the roses I’m looking for, it’s very sweet. I feel it would be perfect without roses, but without them it seems unfeminine and unpolished. I’m not sure what to do with it; I wouldn’t use it again. It’s not horrible, it’s a caramelised sweetness with deep woods and roses. I see it as something for someone more mature and decided on these aromas. It lasts well and projects equally. An aroma of love or hate, with no middle ground.

  • Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian. I’ve been wearing it for a week and I like it more than Montale’s Tonka, at a price five times lower. Strong opening of saffron and oud, with a charming rose that blends perfectly. I see it as unisex, with a very soft oud. It smells of rose soap and woods, clean and perfect for men. The underlying vanilla is ideal for clothes; if you wear it on fabric, it smells of vanilla and rose for days. The scent is incredible on a jumper or t-shirt; you don’t want to take it off. Perfect dry-down on clothes. Undoubtedly my favourite Arabic scent, ranking among my top five in the collection. Brutal projection and astonishing value for money. There are €100 perfumes that don’t smell like this. A blind buy that is 100% satisfactory.

  • Darwinter

I love the incense and rose scent; it’s exactly what I was looking for, though improved and more refined. I can identify all the notes, yet at times none, creating a unison that delivers an oriental warmth thanks to the saffron. It’s my first oud and I’m in love; a blind buy that was spot on. I’ll try it in autumn and it will be one of my favourites. The initial hit is strong, almost making me sneeze, but the dry-down is glorious, romantic and evocative.

  • DelaVegaParfums

Literally for intense cold and windy nights to make the trail gigantic. Be careful, gentlemen, it has too much power.

  • Yeli parfum

An affordable version of Lancome’s Oud Bouquet; I absolutely adore it, and so does my husband. The trail and longevity are simply out of this world.
