Rotten egg at its maximum! Without exaggerating, the worst fresh perfume I’ve ever tried in my life.

  • Exquisite… I like the strident citrus opening, then it takes a salty tone and the dry down is delicious. No egg smell or strange things 😍😍😍

  • Fortunately, I don’t smell of egg. I find it linear and rough. The opening is the best: fresh, citrusy and salty, but then a bitter heart appears that I didn’t enjoy. The dry down is masculine with musky woods. It lacks a slight sweetness, like tonka in Versace Pour Homme, to round it off and avoid that bitterness. I prefer the normal Light Blue because its bitter heart lasts less and the dry down is better.

I love it, it reminds me of my father with Light Blue (not the Intense). It’s more sentimental than based on quality. It’s exquisite when first applied, but loses intensity quickly; after two hours it’s as if I’m not wearing it. If it lasted longer, it would be 10/10. The scent is 100% beach, summer, salt and heat.

  • Fresh, powerful and sparkling opening, perhaps synthetic and alcoholic. Citrus and sea. Dries quickly to classic masculine woods. Longevity and projection adequate for its type. Very complimentary.

  • Fresh citrus opening, well-executed marine notes and a woody base that maintains the freshness. Excellent for hot days to smell good and feel fresh for a few hours. Reminds me of Aqua di Giò by Bvlgari, but without so much seaweed and with much better longevity and projection.

  • GARAÑONDELSUR

Bottled summer ☀️🌅🏝️. Strong, salty, citrusy and marine opening, a bit alcoholic, not for everyone. Then it transforms into a marvel: citrus, sea, salt, woods and musk. Very masculine, perhaps less so than Polo Blue EDP. Works well in public among young people, but is better for formal occasions in the heat, weddings or the beach. If you use it daily in summer, it’s a waste of perfume; it’s more suited to special events. Good longevity, about six hours with a sillage of two, when others last three to four. In summary: marine, salty, citrusy and woody, sophisticated and without annoying sweetness. Perfect for intense heat. 10/10

I expected something super aquatic, but it’s very classic. Citrus and woods with a subtle marine touch. It reminds me of Perry Ellis 18 for Men. Easy to wear, ideal for studying or working, though it doesn’t work well in the cold. Has a masculine and elegant air. 7/10

  • At first, it smells delicious, but after 10/15 minutes, a vomit-like egg smell appears. One of the worst things I’ve heard. Don’t waste your money.

  • A marvel with heaps of compliments. I bought it because my brother wore it at school and everyone said it smelled great. Now it’s my signature: I smell like a strong, distinguished, masculine man. A very rich Italian with grapefruit and salt. My girlfriend calls me ‘The Salty One’. 10/10

  • My summer signature. I’m in the group that reacts brilliantly to marine notes like calone. I’ve checked that perfumes like ADG Profondo or Kenzo Homme EDT Intense don’t react the same on everyone. It doesn’t smell like classic boiled egg, but it sits better on my skin than on others. What a feeling of freshness, comfort, and subtle masculinity. It’s a very special mood that few fragrances achieve.

  • TheXgameX

100% marine perfume, not aquatic. Salt water, seaweed, and salt. Although my skin usually complicates things, it doesn’t project the egg smell those who speak of it mention, and now I’m curious to try it 😆. It evokes the sea well, like surfers emerging victorious with salt on their skin. It has versatility, but by preference, I use it for social events with a presentation, or situations of intense heat with a guayabera at the beach. It may have a synthetic or plasticky nuance, but generally, it smells of good quality, not cheap or mediocre. The performance of my batch is brutal, almost beast mode.

  • Some perfumes aim to impress, others make you feel good. Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue Intense belongs to the second category: it refreshes, pleases, and accompanies without making a fuss. On hot days, that is appreciated. From the first spray, you feel cold citrus and watery notes. It’s clean, vibrant, and has a musky base that gives it body without losing freshness. It’s not complex: it’s direct, honest, and effective. Ideal for those seeking something fresh but with character, without being fleeting. Yes, it’s light, but it doesn’t evaporate instantly. On skin, it lasts about five hours, well-presented. When it fades, reapplying it is almost a pleasant ritual, like a refreshing break midday. For those looking for twelve hours, it might be short, but for warm climates and informal contexts, the longevity is acceptable. Ideal for very hot days. Light Blue Intense performs especially well in the heat, where other perfumes become heavy. Whether for walking, daytime dates, outdoor dining, or summer work, it fulfils perfectly. It’s not cloying or intrusive, but leaves a good impression. What look does it suit? Casual, fresh, and put-together: linen shirts or light polo shirts, beige or blue chinos or bermudas, loafers or clean trainers, sunglasses, and a simple watch. It doesn’t demand suits or pretension; it asks for confidence and effortless style.

  • Fragranticman

Only regarding the ‘egg’ or sulphurous smell. My experience: it’s the climate. Summer fragrances are for summer (warm weather). If you use them out of season, the bad smell appears. This happened with AdG EDT and its clones, with AdG Profondo, and with this one. In cold weather, the AdG EDT smelled like rotting meat, Profondo like harbour rubbish, and this one like sewers. In all three cases, the bad smell only activated in winter. In summer, spring, or autumn (warm phases), I never noticed it. The message is clear: summer fragrances are for summer, winter fragrances for winter. Respect this rule to avoid embarrassment and don’t force others to smell bad. The rest is identical to the original Light Blue, but with more marine notes and better performance.

  • Pleasant, fresh, and discreet. Ideal for summer, but it lasts very little and the trail is scarce; after 15 minutes, it’s almost imperceptible.

  • Excellent perfume. After four months of maceration, it smells divine. The egg smell occurs only if you spray many times in one spot; maximum six sprays on different points. It’s fresh, clean, marine with a citrus base. I use it all year round because it’s versatile, though summer is its forte. It stands out from the crowd and in Chile, you smell different. Stop bathing in perfume; it’s not better, it just confuses people. Men tend to spray it even on their testicles and reapply constantly, but women prefer softer scents.

  • Hocicosensible

Smells like raw egg white, not rotten. Literally like a sneeze. In short: a terrifying fragrance.

  • If you like sweet scents, you won’t like it at first. But over time, you’ll see it’s ideal for heat, the beach, and intense summers. I don’t smell the egg note others mention. At first, the citrus-seawater blend didn’t convince me, but once it dries down, it smells fantastic. It’s good if used at the right time. Longevity and projection are good, the price is fair, and it’s perfect for summer. Note: only for very hot climates.

  • Nariz Feliz

Of the Light Blue line, this is the best. Better skin longevity, fresh and elegant – an ideal fragrance for hot climates. Semi-formal to formal, it looks very good, perfect for evenings or walks near the sea. I have the fortune of not smelling that controversial egg note on my skin. One of my favourites from Mr Morillas.

  • Perfume bomb. It’s a well-refreshing fragrance; I think it’s incredible for wearing at the beach. Smells delicious – a sharp citrus opening that then turns into a marine scent, even a bit cool. But the best part is the longevity. Most fresh perfumes I’ve tried don’t last even five hours; this one easily lasts up to eight. I simply can’t understand why people smell rotten eggs; maybe they’re just dirty and that’s why they perceive it that way. For me, it’s a 9/10.

  • Very good for daily use. I wear it for the gym and university. It’s a scent everyone likes, and you can really feel its marine notes.

  • Danilo Godoy

Very good. A rich, fresh aroma with a certain mature touch without feeling ‘formal’ to me; it gives it a vibe I really like. A purchase I’ll definitely repeat when my bottle runs out.

  • It has become my daily summer cologne. Quite good performance, smells great without being overpowering. The trail is decent; I didn’t notice it myself, but every time I approached a family member or friend, they commented that I left a very pleasant trail behind.

  • Feli soriano

The perfume that got me the most compliments. In summer, if you apply a few extra sprays, it projects a lot.

  • I absolutely love it. Along with Aqva Marine, it’s one of my favourite perfumes for everyday life. Citrusy and marine opening, masculine, clean and graceful. Spectacular. A very rich perfume, full-on summer daytime wear, with an addictive initial citrus burst of excellent quality alongside marine notes, which then settle but stay close to the skin. I’m one of the lucky ones who doesn’t smell the egg note. Great value; I managed to get 200ml for $80 on Jomashop. Definitely a hit. I really like it and my nose never gets tired of it. In fact, I’d love for it to be even more intense, haha. A rich perfume for hot weather. Recommended.

  • Sergioparfum

Fresh, citrusy, aquatic and salty – it’s like smelling the waves – perfect for casual everyday wear. Starts citrusy, slightly sharp but not unpleasant, then transitions to wood and finally settles into a salty dry-down. Very masculine.

  • Wlad Molina

The winner from Morillas’ Light Blue Eau Intense opens with mandarin and grapefruit, a vibrant citrus duo blending beautifully with Alberto Morillas’ aquatic accord. In the heart, juniper adds a subtle herbal touch, while the dry-down reveals clean musk and amberwood, surprising with their potency and longevity. It’s summery, fresh and versatile, suitable for any age, with a profile that feels truly unisex. While it shares the original Light Blue’s citrus and herbal opening, the difference lies in the aquatic notes and musk, which give it more body and modernity. You can even experiment with layering both to enhance the nuances. In its final moments, as the fragrance fades, it leaves an intimate, comforting sensation: the scent of freshly laundered fine cotton sheets, reinforcing its clean and elegant character. A fresh, aquatic, well-formulated fragrance proving that summer scents can be both elegant and long-lasting. 8.5/10. P.S.: On the fifth time I wore it, I did catch that strange smell many talk about. Some describe it as eggs, even rotten eggs, but I find that exaggerated. For me, it was more like a fart lasting less than a minute before vanishing completely. After that initial moment, the fragrance returns to being the fresh and clean scent everyone knows.

  • There are too many marine perfumes on the market, but few like this. It’s more than sitting on the beach; it’s like being deep in the sea. The first time I wasn’t surprised; I thought it would be another one, but I was very wrong. The more I use it, the more I understand what makes it special compared to the rest. Upon spraying, it greets you with a fresh, salty air, a coldness that cuts through the heat, with citrus and cypress. It has a pleasant synthetic nuance with a very present Calone at the start. After 10 minutes, the marine strength drops and yields to a very realistic grapefruit, like holding the rind to your nose, with a cypress that adds maturity. After two hours, the citrus loses strength and gives way to a very clean musk facet, like entering a dry cleaner’s, mixed with the mineral and salty beginning. The incredible thing is its performance: being so light and fresh, it exceeds usual longevity. It starts strong for an hour with the marine-citrus; then the grapefruit fades but remains perceptible. After two hours, it decays to a personal bubble that lasts until eight hours. I see it for daytime use, preferably in the heat where it shines the most. It’s very versatile, perfect for daily wear with casual clothes. It conveys maturity, though not elegance. I like it a lot; it’s different, versatile, and has outstanding performance. It refreshes in the heat and gives a relaxed but mature vibe. Also, it’s available at a good price today. For me, 9/10.

  • Beautiful perfume. I tried the Light Blue EDT and the Eau Intense, without a doubt I’m sticking with this. I’m not exaggerating when I say it lasted 9 hours on my skin and I didn’t feel the egg smell so many people mention; from hour 8 to 9 it was close to the skin. It’s beastly, one of the few hits by Dolce & Gabbana with the Light Blue flankers. Apparently, it’s been discontinued, which is a pity because I didn’t even manage to buy one, and now I don’t know what to buy instead.

  • Fresh, classic, and elegant. A great summer option; I’d say the best in that designer line. It has freshness and elegance, it’s not strident or flashy like others, but it has that point of classic elegance that you can tell.

  • I recommend trying it before buying. It’s fresh and pleasant, but sometimes I feel the marine notes overpower each other, generating that mentioned egg smell. However, I think it’s suggestion based on what we read online, as I showed it to my family and they didn’t mention that smell; on the contrary, they found it fresh and slightly woody at the end. Projection lasts a few hours, but the longevity on the skin is beastly: I got 10 hours with quite a bit of presence.

  • I had a decant of this years ago and liked it, but never bought it. I saw it at a good price a few months ago and finally acquired it. I don’t know why I waited so long, but even after years, I find it richer, beyond the initial hype. The opening is fresh but less citrusy than its siblings, quickly giving way to the marine notes. It’s a fresh and charming perfume, super versatile in the heat, suitable for all ages and liked by others; that marine freshness lasts almost until the end with woody notes. If you find it cheap, it’s almost a blind buy, except for the typical comment about the boiled egg smell which has never happened to me, but every nose is different. I bought it in mid-2025 and it’s still performing well: good projection for the first hour, another half-hour, and a longevity of approx. 6-7 hours.

  • I don’t have many fragrances, but this is one of the richest in my collection. The opening is a rich, juicy, citrusy grapefruit alongside a tangerine that is also citrusy and slightly sweet, lasting all day. After five minutes, the Calone (sea water) and cypress notes kick in, my favourite part, because you feel a soft marine breeze. Then comes the musk and amberwood, which provide a comfortable, masculine shelter over the marine notes. I own the EDT from an Italian batch from 2022 and it was disappointing compared to the UK version I had. This Intense does not disappoint; it gives you the UK version’s character plus extra performance. Regarding the raw egg smell, I doubt it’s due to skin or hygiene; I think it’s each person’s interpretation of the Calone, as my girlfriend says it smells like eggs even straight from the bottle. In summary, if you want something super fresh, masculine, and don’t mind the egg note, get it.

  • VincenzoMaggio

If you’re going to buy it without smelling it first, don’t. It happened to me and I regret it; I didn’t like it, it smells like dirty sand.

  • Jourgen06

I’m new to perfumes, so I’m speaking from my own sensations without pretending to be an expert. The opening is sparkling and refreshing, exactly what you need in the heat. It’s my favourite for sunny days and long walks; the trail stands out, fresh as a breeze. I’ve worn it for cycling, running, the gym, work, and the beach; it’s a safe bet for summer. My girlfriend adores it, saying it smells fresh and clean even after hours or a workout. It goes perfectly with summer clothes. Good longevity, and it doesn’t smell like eggs on my skin. It’s an excellent perfume for hot climates, certainly one of my favourites, and I would buy it again.

  • Finally writing this; I’ve had the bottle full for ages and never got around to it. It’s a citrus/aromatic blend with marine/musk undertones, opening with a sparkling, cheerful brightness. The grapefruit smells of zesty, prickly citrus rather than fruit, while the tangerine adds body without stealing the show. It settles in 10-15 minutes. The heart is the best part: a salty, sweet, refreshing marine accord, like a sun-drenched breeze at the docks, with aromatic juniper in the background adding depth. It lasts 2-3 hours with strong to moderate projection. The base, featuring musk and amberwood, is the most boring but necessary element; it creates a clean, sensual accord that adds longevity and lasts another 2-3 hours. In summary, it smells like a rich, wonderful sunrise at a salty dock. Alberto never fails. This is a high-category fresh EDP; don’t expect magic longevity, it lasts normally for its DNA, and projection depends on the number of sprays and your skin pH. It’s a unisex masculine scent, ideal for spring and summer on days above 26°C. Scent: 8.5/10, Projection: 7-7.5/10, Versatility: 4/10, Price: 6.5/10, Longevity: 7/10 for this type of DNA.

  • pjgallardo

Light Blue Intense is super simple: sea and citrus, a winning combination with incredible nuances and a freshness that many marine perfumes lack. It’s the best designer fragrance for summer. 10/10.
