  • The previous review was mine; I didn’t realise I wasn’t logged in, so I’m rewriting it just to confirm I was the original author. This is my first perfume review and a personal opinion. This Light Blue Swimming in Lipari pour homme is quite fresh and citrusy, ideal for summer days. At first, it feels like a mix of grapefruit and sea water, lasting about 15 minutes, then it shifts to an exquisite scent of mandarin mixed with rosemary; the latter adds more punch, and I perceive woody notes, though I can’t quite distinguish which ones. The scent is delicious and reminds me of beach walks, but it has a weak trail and short longevity; after three hours, I can barely smell it close to the skin, although it intensifies in the sun. It’s quite refreshing and summery, though I’ve smelled better ones of the same type. That’s all for now. Thanks and see you soon.

The Light Blue Swimming in Lipari for men is super fresh and citrusy, ideal for summer. At first, it smells of grapefruit and sea water for about 15 minutes, then it shifts to a delicious mandarin with rosemary that gives it more punch and woody notes I can’t quite identify. It smells like the beach, but its trail is weak and doesn’t last long; after three hours it’s barely skin-scent, although under the sun it intensifies. It’s very refreshing and summery, though I’ve smelled better ones of the same type. That’s all for now. Thanks and see you soon.

  • The limited summer editions from D&G, the Light Blue flankers, are similar, oscillating between citrus and marine scents with a note that sets them apart. In this case, Lipari opens like a dive into the sea, with fresh and salty waves. The sea salt note is very pleasant alongside the citrus (grapefruit) which comes through in the background. The soft yet noticeable rosemary blends with the delicious tangerine in the heart notes and closes with an ambered musky aroma, like shaving cream with marine touches. Ideal for any season except winter, although those rules shouldn’t be so strict; it’s very pleasant, perhaps a bit tiring in the long run, but easy to wear and wear… Very marine and ambered… Waiting for the next one…

  • There’s nothing more to add than what my colleagues have already said, except that it lasted quite a long time for me, truly beastly compared to the conventional Light Blue. I wore it to Acapulco and it was perfect in that climate: sea notes with salty and refreshing touches, grapefruit and tangerine. Personally, it performs better outdoors and in the heat. In my opinion, it has a slight resemblance to Invictus but without being so sweet; perhaps it’s just the amber and the grapefruit.

  • There’s nothing more to add to what others have said, but I must say this lasted a beast compared to the regular Light Blue. I wore it to Acapulco and it was perfect in that climate: sea, salty and fresh notes with grapefruit and mandarin. In my opinion, it works much better outdoors in the heat. To me, it has a slight resemblance to Invictus, minus the sweetness, perhaps just due to the amber and grapefruit.

Hello friends, I have this version and to be honest, it’s super summery. It transports me to splashing in the Caribbean waves. Smells of sweet sea, an interesting rosemary note that gives a spicy touch to the grapefruit citrus, enhanced by the ambergris which adds a distinctive sweetness. On my skin it lasts over 8 hours, projecting from moderate to strong with double application. I recommend it if you can find it: rich, fresh, spicy and well masculine.

Hello friends, I have this version and the truth is, it’s super summery. It transports me to splashing in the Caribbean waves. • I love it, it’s very fresh, comes out smelling of salt and as refreshing as the sea. When I first tried it, I sensed more salt, but now that I’ve worn it for a while, I feel the sweetness and freshness more. Wish it lasted longer, it lasts about 3 to 4 hours, but anyway, it’s a good fragrance.

  • Opens with strong projection, salty, citrusy and musky. Fresh, oceanic, crisp, intense and pleasant. The grapefruit is the most marked citrus note, bitter and sharp, though the mandarin is also noticeable with a sweet touch; the sea salt is second, very prominent, evoking beaches and the ocean. The musk and ambergris are in the base but appear quickly; the ambergris is the third note, earthy, mineral, mossy and musky, never animalic or unpleasant. The rosemary and wood are soft, adding spice and woodiness without being intense. As it dries down, it becomes a marine/salty fragrance with ambergris, citrus, light spicy and woody touches.

  • The fragrance opens with a powerful, salty projection, a blend of citrus and musk. The opening is fresh, oceanic and crisp, very intense and pleasant. Grapefruit dominates the citrus side, bitter and sharp, while mandarin adds a sweet touch; sea salt is the second note, very present and evoking beaches and the sea. Musk and ambergris are in the base but appear instantly; ambergris is the third key note, earthy, mineral, mossy and musky, without being animalic or unpleasant. Rosemary and wood are soft, adding spice and woodiness without competing with the main elements. As it dries down, it becomes a marine/salty fragrance with ambergris, citrus, a touch of spice and wood, with moderate projection.

  • A very interesting flanker… to be honest, I was surprised by that perfectly achieved sea salt note, which combined with the citrus creates a brilliant combo before the spicier heart phase. A very summery fragrance, recommended 100%.

  • Top summer perfume, incredible citrus notes, super refreshing yet elegant. I fell in love with the scent; that’s all it takes. I’d already tried other Light Blue versions and knew what to expect; this one doesn’t disappoint, with an extra but very subtle mariner touch. Highly recommended for hot weather, though given its potency and longevity, it also works well in very cold climates. Without a doubt, a great product from Dolce & Gabbana.
