  • And plenty of ice, please! 🥤🍋🍒❄️ I’ve been wearing this American indie gem, Pineward, for a couple of months. It sold out quickly, leaving many of us waiting or eager to try it, but it’s back in stock this year. Before I discuss it, I challenge you: how would you describe a Coca-Cola? You know it’s fizzy, sweet, dark, and cold, but what does it actually taste like? It’s impossible to explain; you just recognise it. 🍒 In perfumery, cherry extract is rare, so they use molecules to recreate it; cherry or grape is the closest you’ll get in a cola fragrance. Lime Cola opens sweet and cherried (without that synthetic rubbery smell), with plenty of cinnamon giving it that fizzy, powdery texture. The lime is clear at first with a green touch, and if you look closely, there’s a hint of spicy ginger. There’s rum in the blend, though it doesn’t smell boozy. It’s linear with modest performance, unisex-leaning-masculine, versatile, and even suitable for evening wear. It’s an interesting artistic offering and the best I’ve tried so far. It didn’t blow my mind, but it was exactly what I expected. They say Escada’s Magnetism (for men) smells like Coca-Cola, at least that’s been repeated since Hyroyoruzuka gave it hype over a decade ago on YouTube. Don’t bother searching for the video; don’t waste your time. We who have been around since YouTube was born know that; there was genuine passion for perfumes back then, not a cheap circus chasing likes. My channel is 19 years old, and I remember Frunkinator, Streetscents, Dracdoc, Fragrancebros, CMB1125, JRWriter, Tswetcoff, Kirill, and their unboxings. What times those were! Magnetism is a good perfume, but it only gives off a grape vibe with a powdery texture. It’s lovely, very unisex, and would have sold millions if it had launched under a mainstream brand like Paco Rabanne. Lime Cola plays in a different league; it’s the very definition of a cola refreshment with excellent quality. A solid 8 🌟
