Descripción
Malbec Magnetic by O Boticário is a woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by Leandro Petit, Marion Costero and Hernan Fígoli. The top notes unfold with grape, apple, pink pepper, citrus, cardamom and cypress; the heart reveals mineral notes, guaiac wood, cedar, rose, sandalwood, patchouli, cashmere, green notes, nutmeg and juniper; while the base notes complete the olfactive pyramid with vanilla, musk, amber, elemi and olibanum frankincense.

To me, it smells like a blend between Invictus and 212 VIP.
I bought this blind due to local hype and have no regrets, although it isn’t my favourite. At first, it smells like a grape soda, which didn’t convince me. After 15 minutes, the patchouli and a well-crafted wood take over, becoming powdery and reminiscent (without copying) of Montblanc’s Starwalker. The longevity is brutal, lasting 8-9 hours with just 4 sprays. Given the price and the fact that it’s a catalogue item, the quality is surprisingly high. Cheers!
It lives up to its name; it is magnetic. Despite not usually liking this type of fragrance, it has an attractive and fairly masculine scent. It reminds me of Chanel’s Antaeus, but more citrusy and less sophisticated. The patchouli is king here, giving it a masculine edge. The amber notes make it feel younger than others with similar ingredients. What I don’t like is the citrus and pine; they strip away its character and make it blend in with others. It’s good for occasional wear, lasts well, and is aromatic. Don’t overdo it with more than 3 sprays or the green notes will become heavy. Suitable for formal evening outings, I think it suits a man over 30.
I have mixed feelings. The first spray excited me; very pleasant. But as always, I let it settle for a few hours. At first, I felt rich grapes, but then it changed and started to resemble Montblanc Individuel, and finally JPG Le Male. I never liked those two, so I didn’t buy it. Others will love that legendary JPG scent, so they will likely love this Malbec too. Perhaps it would change on a different pH. It disappointed me.
I bought it following a review by Alejandro Perfumes; it was hard to find in Spain, but I managed to get it from miperfumeria.com. I love the scent from the initial blast through to the dry down. Be careful with the spray, as two sprays fill an entire room. The nose is by Alberto Morillas, offering maximum quality at a good price.

It’s very pleasant, earns compliments, and the fruity note is noticeable. It doesn’t smell like One Million or Invictus as some claim. Excellent performance; it lasts and projects well. Expected quality for the price. Projection: 9/10, Longevity: 10/10, Price: 8/10, Sillage: 9/10, Quality: 6/10. Final note: 8.5. Would I buy it again? Yes, for the performance and price.
It is a very pleasant fragrance that garners compliments; the fruity notes are noticeable. It doesn’t remind me of One Million or Invictus as some say. Performance is excellent; it lasts and projects well. Quality expected for the price. Projection: 9/10, Longevity: 10/10, Price: 8/10, Compliments: 9/10, Quality: 6/10. Final note: 8.5. I bought it and it smells like a potent deodorant, ideal for cold weather. In the heat, it bothers others due to its potency and sweetness.
I bought Malbec Magnetic eagerly due to the reviews, but it seems they are being paid for advertising. It smells like deodorant, like an Ego-style gel; there’s no grape, apple, or anything the reviews mention. The scent is very strong; you must apply little or it will bother others. Don’t buy it blindly; go to a store to try it or ask someone who owns it.
It smells rich; the opening is very grape-like. With two sprays, it fills the room, but it doesn’t get boring. If after three hours you only have two left, it smells very weak, so don’t be afraid; use five or six to get the most out of it. It’s delicious, sweet, and special, but I wouldn’t recommend it for heat or strong sunlight. It’s for cold, rainy days; it warms you up. For the price, it’s quality.
It smells delicious, with the grape note very prominent at first. Two sprays fill the house but don’t bore; if after three hours you only catch two scents, it smells very weak. Don’t be alarmed; I recommend 5 or 6 sprays to get the most out of it all day. It is sweet, special, and delightful. I wouldn’t recommend it for heat or strong sunlight; it’s better for cold, rainy days as it feels warming. For the price, the quality is brutal.
It begins with sweet grapes and that typical alcoholic base of the Malbecs, where mineral notes stand out and give something unique that few smell. Then it dries to chewing gum and white wine. Performance and longevity are good. Recommended; the Malbec line offers excellent value for money.
The good: it lasts forever on clothes, washed and everything still smells of perfume. On skin, it lasts five hours, which is just enough. It suits everything, cold or hot (for me, everything smells better in the cold). It’s sweet, metallic, with wine and incense, masculine and potent, yet nothing special; it smells like an expensive deodorant. It’s not woody, citrus, aquatic, or green. It has that catalogue quality. Good price. I wish more originals lasted this long.
I’m just starting to wear it now. At first, it smells like those hard Concord grape candies, then an amber base emerges, though quite muted. It seems faint on my skin, even though reviews say it fills the room, which worries me as it happens with Malbec Gold too. The reviews are wonderful but don’t apply to me; I don’t know if it’s my skin or the product. It’s frustrating me; I’m looking for advice.
I like it, but the apple note is very strong at first, then it settles into a floral touch reminiscent of Nuit de la Fleur; it only smells good in the evening. I think it’s worth trying, depending on your mood, but it has that characteristic Morillas touch found throughout their entire catalogue.
It’s good; in the opening and dry down, the apple is very noticeable and gives a certain floral scent. I wonder if you know the flower ‘Caballero de la noche’, which only smells at night; I thought it smelled like that. I think it needs to be enjoyed at least with me; it depends on the mood. Definitely, it has that sharp scent that Morillas puts in all his perfumes.
