Malbec X by O Boticário is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2022, this composition was created by perfumer Christophe Raynaud. In its opening, the top notes unfold violet leaves, mandarin, yuzu and grapefruit. The heart of the fragrance reveals benzoin, Factor X and cardamom, while the base notes settle on leather, suede, amber and patchouli.

Boticario is like Natura; generally catalogue quality. I liked Malbec X: strong citrus opening moving to ripe citrus, leather, and a floral touch that softens it, quite synthetic. It has good sillage and projects for three or four hours before settling on the skin. I didn’t try it much but I liked it. The price is a drawback; at nearly 200 reais today it’s not competitive against designer perfumes that outperform it.
Not a special fragrance. It’s an ordinary perfume, nothing to highlight, smells like something from everywhere.
Very rich and masculine, but the performance is poor.
The Ch Privé by Boticario: uneventful performance.
Smells rich and friendly, but it lasts nothing in the heat. It improves slightly in the cold, yet remains weak. If you buy it, be prepared to reapply constantly for it to be noticeable, especially outdoors. It projects better in the office, but any other scent easily overpowers it. I would not buy it again.
