1 Million Black by Rabanne

I’ve never been a fan of One Million, mainly because of the number of flankers there are and how sickly they can become. I remember the original as very sweet and a bit dated. Night Elixir smells nice, but it’s the same old story: very sweet and without any note to balance it. Then this Black one arrived, and something caught my attention from the start. Whether it was the bottle, the advertising or the notes, I had to try it. When I put it on my skin, I got that fruity hit and liked it straight away. You mainly notice pineapple, a little less sharp than the SWY ones, and it stays around for a while until it turns creamier and the trio of vanillas and coconut comes out. The coconut hides among the vanillas; they do make it sweet, but I don’t find it as sickly as other versions. The wood gives it a dark/smoky touch. It’s linear—don’t expect it to evolve—but projection and longevity are ridiculously good. The adverts say it lasts 48 hours, and it really does last that long, though don’t expect it to project with the same intensity on both days. It leaves a lovely scent on the skin that becomes addictive. It can be reminiscent of a piña colada, although it’s not at all gourmand; it isn’t trying to replicate piña colada. It’s worth trying.

I’ve tried it a couple of times and, honestly, the scent is pleasant enough—a typical loud tropical with vanilla—but it seems extremely youthful to me, and I can only see it as suitable for parties… it does last very well. It became a bit heavy and slightly annoying after a few hours… for young people it’ll fit right in, for sure. By the way, the similarity to Lucky is in the bottle design, because they go down different paths.

Hello, just bought it, trying it out, two sprays on my hand… Constant wafts… It’s been 15 minutes since applying it. It’s a sweet scent, sweetish to the point of being sickly… Vanillas and tutti frutti… Others will say milkshake or ice cream… No, no, there’s nothing lactonic about it… When I try it thoroughly, I’ll tell you more… Always try it first. Cheers.

How much must Croxatto have been paid to praise this fragrance? Just another mainstream one. Apparently he doesn’t like sweet, vanillic, youthful scents. Yet he’s named it the best of 2026… There’s already so much hype around this one!!!

It smells the same as Night Elixir, but you add juicy pineapple at the beginning (spoiler: it disappears after 30 minutes) and you dial down the maple syrup, swapping it for an ultra-amber vanilla. There is no trace of coconut or wood, perhaps a very soft and light woody trace. Vanilla-amber to the max, that’s it. I’d say it’s fairly unisex in the dry-down.

Vanillic, candied, sweet. Andrés Croxatto placed it among the best of 2026. However, something in the opening feels plastic: that’s the problem with putting citrus next to vanilla. It is discordant without being unpleasant. In any case, the citrus disappears and what remains is mostly vanilla with coconut in the heart. Further down, you detect some wood, something very subtly powdery from the patchouli; but above all a tonka bean sweetness. That’s the identity of the fragrance: it smells like a sweet vanilla and coconut dessert. Unisex leaning masculine. Never for sun and heat. It’s a fragrance intended for teenagers who dream of being eaten because they smell of a little dessert. It’s not for a gentleman looking to project a polished image. It’s for attracting attention through a diabetic coma made into a scent.

It smells luxurious. I can’t find the coconut note anywhere, but when it dries down, the vanilla really comes through. It’s quite youthful, and I’d say it can be worn every day perfectly well.

For coconut lovers, it’s madness: addictive scent and impressive longevity, 12 hours minimum.

I’ve just bought it. Since it’s not available in perfume shops or on their websites, I bought it directly from Rabanne. I expect the price is inflated, but given how perfumery is nowadays, and even more so with designer fragrances, it didn’t seem unreasonable to me, especially considering the “gifts” the brand gives you. In short: I perceive the opening of pineapple and blood orange as a fruity cocktail with a hint of liqueur that isn’t listed. It has three types of vanilla, but it’s not that gourmand vanilla you smell everywhere to the point of being fed up with it these days. It’s sweet, yes, but not dessert-like; the wood doesn’t come across as very dark either — it’s there and you perceive it, but in the background; it doesn’t take centre stage. It’s true that it’s only been on my skin for a short while. At 2 hours after applying it, that’s what it is: fruity, elegant, not brash, well made, everything in just the right measure — the fruity, the sweet, and the wood. Everything at once, everywhere; not too much of this or that is noticeable, but nothing stands out like good friends. Rabanne promises 48 hours of longevity; haha, that’s bound to be an exaggeration, so I’ll test it properly and come back here to disprove it.

I’ve just bought it, it’s similar to Lucky but with a lot more power. I think it’s amazing. Wow. Delicious.

Excellent perfume. Quite youthful, sweet and attractive with good longevity. The pineapple smells sweet and smoky, and then in the dry-down we have plain and simple vanilla, reminding me of Vanilla Powder and Invictus Victory Elixir.

Well, this is my first review and I hope it gives you something. In the end I bought it because of the hype, without being able to try it beforehand. I like the DNA of One Million, and the Lucky also appeals to me. I bought it mainly for the supposed longevity, but I have to tell you that it has disappointed me quite a lot. Le Male Elixir lasts and projects at least twice as much. Longevity 4-5 hours, projection 2 max. As for the scent, I find it fairly youthful (I’m 30). So don’t get carried away by all the hype and, if you can, try it before buying it.
