Mirage Gourmand by Les Nobles Essences is a fragrance from the olfactive family for men and women. This creation is new and was launched in 2024. The nose behind this composition is Margaux Le Paih Guérin. The top notes are almond, pistachio, pastry and powdery notes; the heart notes are almond, hazelnut and tonka bean; the base notes are vanilla, white musk and guaiac wood.

Finally received this wonder and it has exceeded my already high expectations. What a brilliantly crafted gourmand fragrance. I put it on at 4 pm and at 10:40 pm it still has the same intensity. The scent is delicious and addictive; I want to keep smelling it, liking it more with every moment. What does it smell like? A combination of sweet nuts. You can detect the vanilla, but it doesn’t just smell of that; the vanilla doesn’t overpower. It’s like a blend of nuts, with some cereal (you can almost feel the texture), with an added vanilla sweetness. Don’t be put off if you don’t tolerate sweet, heavy perfumes: it is sweet, yes, but not ‘tooth-rotting’. It’s like a gourmet pastry from a fine bakery, with just enough sweetness for even the non-sweet-tooth to enjoy. Although it is long-lasting and persistent (and don’t stop eating yourself), it isn’t dense, heavy, opulent, or overwhelming. On the contrary, it is light yet very persistent. 10 out of 10, resounding. As a gourmand lover, I feel it is totally unisex. If you like them and are a collector, go blind; I doubt you will regret it.
To my nose, this is candied almond sweets with that little dusting of powder sprinkled between them. Something light and fluffy, with a strong almond presence. It’s not loud or overly sweet; quite pleasant and airy. It still smells like a real perfume. The sample arrived and I debated buying the bottle or not. My hesitation is the price – over $200; if it were half that, I might just buy it, but the final decision is still pending.
Smells very similar to Jany by Sora Dora, though for some personal reason I always prefer the Jany.
What a laugh! A feast of sweet, nutty notes, powerful and quintessentially gourmand. Natural, realistic scents that are instantly recognisable yet blend to perfection.
