Fire at Will by Jovoy is a total redemption for the brand, standing alongside Pavillon Rouge. It features one of the finest vanillas I’ve ever tried: super gourmand with a milky, caramelised note that reminds me of burnt milk and Andalusian Soul by TMOV, sharing a similar vibe. However, Jovoy’s version has far superior quality; while sweet, it balances with incredible elegance and seduction. As it dries down, it darkens slightly and faintly recalls By the Fireplace by Margiela, yet remains more edible with vanilla always taking centre stage. I love it; it’s a perfect unisex scent, ideal for cold weather, those nights when you crave warmth in an embrace, a hot drink, or the sweetness of this fragrance. Rating: 9/10
Searching for many vanillas on the market, this motivated me greatly; it wraps you in a cloud of custard, I can’t stop using it, 10/10.
Fire at Will by Jovoy is a complete redemption for the brand, alongside Pavillon Rouge, and I’ve adored it. It boasts one of the best vanillas I’ve encountered: very gourmand, with a milky and caramelised touch that brings to mind burnt milk and, consequently, Andalusian Soul by TMOV, which vibrates in the same way. But Jovoy’s version is of much higher quality; although sweet, it balances with breathtaking elegance and seduction. As it dries down, it darkens a little and faintly resembles By the Fireplace by Margiela, but this one remains more edible with vanilla always in the spotlight. I love it; it’s a perfect unisex scent, ideal for the cold, especially on nights when you seek warmth in an embrace, a hot beverage, or the sweetness of such a perfume. Rating: 9/10
Looking for vanillas around, this one has motivated me immensely. It wraps you in a cloud of custard and I simply can’t stop wearing it. 10/10.
If you like vanilla scents, this is your fragrance. It smells complete and absolutely of vanilla, from start to finish. It’s simply pure vanilla, nothing more to say. It smells like those vanilla extracts used for making cakes. It’s not a scent for every man; I can’t imagine it on a muscular bloke coming out of the gym. I don’t know why the brand says it’s unisex. Completely for women.
I’ve been wearing it for a couple of days and it smells super innocent; it’s basically a light vanilla with floral nuances, mimosa included. The performance isn’t the best, lasting about five hours, and the projection is subtle.
I’ve been wearing this fragrance for a couple of days; its scent is super inoffensive and is mostly a light vanilla with subtle floral nuances, mimosa in this case. The performance isn’t that good; it lasts about 5 hours with slight projection.
Fire At Will is a silky, fluffy vanilla, nothing artificial, sweetened with brown sugar that brings to mind the crunchy top of a crème brûlée. At first, alongside that vanilla, there’s a clean, soapy accord, slightly powdery, which sounds like mimosa. Then it doesn’t evolve much, so if you love vanilla to the full, you’ll adore it. The projection is moderate and lasts about six hours. I say it has traces of Vanilla 28 by Kayali, but that one smells more of amber and is more potent. What it does have more in common with is Molinard’s Vanille: that same fluffy, tender sensation, although this one falls short on performance and quality.
Fire At Will is a silky, fluffy vanilla, nothing artificial, sweetened by brown sugar, which evokes the caramelised hard crust of a crème brûlée. At the start, alongside the vanilla, there is a clean, soapy and slightly powdery accord that I associate with mimosa. Then it doesn’t evolve much more, so you have to like vanilla to enjoy it fully. Moderate projection and lasts around 6 hours. Regarding similarities, I detect traces of Kayali’s Vanilla 28, but that one is more ambered and potent. The one I find most similar is Molinard’s Vanille; it has that same fluffy and tender sensation, but it lacks in performance and quality.
A lactonic vanilla that reminds me of grandma’s custard, ideal for personal enjoyment. For vanilla fanatics, you must try it, mainly in autumn-winter. I don’t think it resembles Andalusian Soul, as the latter has a spiced and licorice-like touch that Fire at Will lacks.
First impression: reminds me of Yves Rocher’s Vanilla Bourbon body spray or VS’s Bare Vanilla. I’ll continue testing and see. It smells rich, like a cake, yes. It lasted ten hours on my skin with a single spray.
A very ambered and lactonic vanilla. The mimosa is noticeable, giving it a unique character. It projects very little but lasts quite a while on the skin. The quality of the ingredients is evident, but it’s not worth the price, especially if you already own others of the same style like Bianco Latte. It has a Tihota vibe; I’ve tried both and they are similar; what differentiates them is the mimosa note in this one. I’ll continue testing the decant, because as a vanilla lover, it might end up in my collection. EDIT (15/01/2025): After finishing the decant, I bought the bottle. Something unexpected happened: the decant and the bottle smell totally different. If you have the bottle with dark brown liquid, know that it is a reformulation. The original was an incredibly pure vanilla in the Tihota style, with a sugary and floral touch, much more gourmand. The reformulation is super ambered and loses the vanilla as it dries. It’s a completely different perfume. The worst part is that the brand says nothing. The original and the reformulation have nothing to do with each other. I feel disappointed, writing this so someone else doesn’t go through the same. At least the reformulation has made the perfume more potent in projection.
VANILLA FLAN. I don’t know why I grabbed the 15ml size (yes, because I often regret buying the big bottles). Go for it blindly if you like vanilla. The dry down has Kayali vibes.
The name evokes earthy base notes that add depth. The initial burst is intense and pleasant: brown sugar and vanilla almost overwhelm you, then they settle and become soft and friendly. It’s a dream. The first hour smells of floral vanilla, sweet and slightly powdery, like the warm embrace of my favourite woodland fairy. Then a warm, almost buttery mimosa appears, transitioning from fresh to creamy and feminine. The amber and discreet vetiver in the base complete the whole. The base is light to medium to avoid being sharp. It smells good all day, elegant for dressing up, even for work. The trail could be better; it only radiates in the mid-phase before settling on the skin. A beautiful perfume in its entirety.
Vanilla with brown sugar… simple yet exquisite. Upon first spraying, I was reminded of the Yves Rocher monogotas I used in my teens, but with a quality a thousand times superior. As it dries down, it does remind me a little of Kayali’s vanilla, but for me, this has a slightly talc-like touch that makes it more elegant and, in summary, better. It’s unisex for those who love this note and super versatile. It lasts between six and seven hours on my skin with moderate projection and trail. One of my favourites from the house.
Brown Sugar Vanilla: simple yet exquisite. Upon opening, it reminded me of Yves Rocher’s Monogotas from my teenage years, but with a quality 10,000 times superior. As it dries down, it recalls Kayali slightly, but this one has a talcum-like touch that makes it more elegant and, to sum up, better. Unisex for vanilla lovers and super versatile. Lasts 6-7 hours on my skin with moderate projection. One of my favourites from the house.
