It could be unisex, but on my skin it feels more feminine. The vanilla is lovely; at first, a very clean lavender dominates (which gives it that unisex touch), but over time the vanilla really comes to the fore. It’s elegant, not just any perfume. It lasts longer on clothes than on skin, with a medium longevity. I’ll be buying it again when I’ve finished this bottle. A definite yes.
Vanilla is my favourite note in a perfume. The name and the beautiful bottle made me think I’d love it, but I didn’t. I know it’s hugely popular, but I’ve tried it several times in the different variations of the line (EdP, Intense, etc.) and they all have something metallic that I find unpleasant. I’m not sure if it’s the lavender or the suede, but I perceive it in the opening and also in the dry down.
Divine; when you put it on, you feel like an explosion of something sweet, yet fresh and green. I think the lavender gives it that sparkly touch. It raises passions in men. That said, it lasts a mere breath… and it’s not cheap… I’m waiting to see if they improve the formula or if a good dupe comes out, as for now it’s throwing money away on something that lasts so little…
I bought the fragrance without testing it on my skin as I was given a sample on blotter paper, and the vanilla seemed exquisite. However, unfortunately, the longevity and projection are really, really weak. Following comments I read below, I’ll be layering it with Angham by Lattafa to see if I can improve its longevity and projection, but it’s a shame as it’s an expensive fragrance. I recommend not buying it before testing it on your skin for a whole day to see if it’s worth it, as every ph is unique.
I was at the Freeshop in Uruguay testing perfumes when I came across a stand with this new fragrance. I tried it and loved it, but I was let down when the girl told me it was ‘for women’. I wasn’t going to buy it, but she convinced me by saying fragrances have no gender; if you like it, you take it. I wore it all winter until the bottle was empty, then decided to try other things. But now and again, I have a hankering to buy it again. It’s sweet, very enveloping, and draws a lot of attention. The man who wears it is the one, not the fragrance.
My fiancé chose it with the help of five of his friends, and the decision was unanimous once they’d tested this perfume. Bvlgari is an aroma that men love, and I find it very sexy, feminine, sweet but nothing gourmand, an erotic sweetness, penetrating and very tasty. Fragrance 9. Sillage 7. Longevity 7.
A super contained and feminine perfume, with a delicate vanilla, nothing pastry-like, wrapped in hints of lavender and a very, very soft pudriness. It’s extremely elegant, one of those that feel refined on the skin. For those who love tender perfumes, it can be bought blind without fear: it’s pleasant in every way, truly. The longevity is quite good and the trail is moderate.
On my skin, the lavender stands out mainly, and personally, it’s not a scent I like. I’m not sure if it’s my skin or the perfume; I feel let down by the hype but it hasn’t convinced me, and I’ve tried (and keep trying). The vanilla is almost imperceptible on me… as I said, it smells like lavender in a closed car to me. It lasts quite a short time; when it dries, you can perceive the vanilla a bit, although the intensity in the dry down is very low. It’s the favourite perfume of many, and they have their reasons! When I smelled it on the test card, I loved it, but on me… it smells like lavender in a closed car.
Both this and Burberry Her seem very rich but subtle. In terms of longevity, on my skin the maximum is two hours and dragging. I prefer very strong and sweet perfumes; that depends on each person’s preference, but really, after those two hours, it’s almost imperceptible. On blotter paper, the perfume lasts about 4-6 hours and is very rich; it depends purely on the skin and it’s important to test it. Moving on to the scent, the first notes felt are floral; the lavender is very rich but subtle. As it dries, the vanilla note appears but it’s very floral. It’s a very elegant and subtle perfume. As it projects, the vanilla and lavender fuse, leaving a slightly sweet lavender scent. As I say, it depends on each skin, and on mine it went badly. However, on blotter paper it’s a very pleasant but very, very subtle perfume, sometimes almost invisible.
It’s so subtle that I only perceive it during the first 30 minutes. And to be honest, given how little it smells, I don’t find it spectacular. A total let-down; for me, it’s throwing money away.
I want it, I want it, I want it. They gave it to me as a sample when buying another, and I shouldn’t have smelled it because I became obsessed. Sweet and light vanilla with lavender, creamy. Every time I brought my wrist to my face, the scent reached me, even hours later without lingering on the skin. Unfortunately, there’s no air conditioning at my job, and I don’t know if the heat works against it. At that price, I’m not risking it for now… but I desire it so much!
It’s a lovely and pleasant fragrance, with a faint reminiscent of the classic Burberry that’s now discontinued. Don’t be alarmed; I couldn’t stand the old one, but I adore this one. However, it has an unforgivable flaw for its price: it doesn’t last at all. The trail is weak and it lingers on the skin for only a couple of hours. To spend money and smell like nothing, it’s not my option. I wouldn’t buy it again.
I loved it. The lavender stands out at first, but then leaves behind a super elegant vanilla. It’s modern, rich, and perfect for a refresh. The longevity isn’t eternal, but it’s quite decent. I’d buy it again without a doubt.
Goddess is a special vanilla; the ginger and lavender give it freshness and a floral touch. The star notes, cocoa and vanilla, create a perfect contrast between powdery and creamy, very peculiar, keeping it elegant, moderately sweet, and versatile. Angham by Lattafa is its almost identical version but more extreme; they’re similar in composition but not in intensity. In temperament, it’s more elegant, like Mon Guerlain. It’s pricey, but it’s beautiful and lasts over six hours; the projection is moderate.
Delicious and enveloping yet soft, it doesn’t overwhelm. It has a sparkling opening but soon settles into a luminous and sweet fragrance that embraces. Unfortunately, on my skin it doesn’t project much and the longevity is short, but that didn’t stop me; on the days I wear it, I carry a travel size to reapply.
Finally, the beauty is in my hands. I’m in love; it’s the second perfume to steal my heart like this. I enjoy it for all seasons. Excellent.
Wow, the epitome of a cozy aroma. It’s pure vanilla, but not sumptuous or sensual, rather airy and light, almost like a subtle cream. Generally, heavy vanilla perfumes give me a headache, but this is another story. When I wear it, I can’t tear my nose away from the scent; it reminds me of a milk coffee with a dash of vanilla, with that feeling of closeness and warmth. It’s a beauty and an absolute yes. We’ll talk about longevity later; I’m still testing it.
It reminds me a lot of Ariana’s Mod Vanilla, but this one is much deeper, with more body, less cloying, and a better trail. It’s rich. I’m not sure if I’d buy it, but if I had more money, obviously. I think it’s very elegant for me, xD.
A beautiful fragrance, impossible for someone not to like it. A sensual and exquisite vanilla. There are very similar dupes like Angham by Lattafa and Cher Glossy; all three are exquisite.
Smells of vanilla with hints of cocoa, and the lavender opening is noticeable. It’s very rich and warm… a fragrance that ’embraces’ you. For me, it’s very wearable. Vanilla is always a trump card!
I underestimated it, thinking it was another vanilla-heavy composition from the crowd, a tepid copy of Mon Guerlain. It’s true: they share notes like vanilla, lavender, and a spicy hint, but that’s where the illusion ends. In Mon Guerlain, the lavender is more aromatic and powdery, with a warm, balsamic vanilla that builds a classic aura. Goddess is cleaner, more expansive, with a luminous vanilla that breathes between cocoa and ginger, less romantic and more contemporary. If Mon Guerlain is a silk dress at dusk, Goddess is a freshly ironed white shirt with a touch of carmine: same family, different attitude. Ideal for wearing alone or for layering.
Beautiful and addictive fragrance. The opening is sparkling and rich, featuring lavender and undisclosed citrus notes; I don’t detect the spicy ginger. Initially, it could be mistaken for the Mon Guerlain EDT opening due to that distinct mandarin, but it quickly diverges. Here, a sweet vanilla with aromatic nuances takes centre stage, evolving into something creamier, smelling more of cocoa butter than powder. All notes are present: the cocoa is accentuated while the lavender softens. The citrus disappears completely in the dry-down. It’s not a hyper-realistic gourmand like Devotion, but an aromatic vanilla, sweet yet incredibly wearable, refined and pleasant. It generates a warm, velvety sensation that envelops you without being intrusive. For those who usually dislike overly sweet perfumes, I recommend trying it; you’ll be surprised. In general, I’m not comfortable with cloying scents (Scandal, LVEB, La Belle, etc.), and I tried this with zero expectations at a perfumerie and loved it. Compared to the Mon Guerlain Florale, I don’t think they resemble each other; the MGF has a floral aura and less evident vanilla, with a powdery touch, like a cloud of impalpable sugar. In this one (B.G.), I don’t notice that talc-sweetened effect. The performance is excellent: it projects intensely for four hours, then sits close to the skin, allowing me to perceive it constantly without olfactory fatigue. Of all I own, it’s one of the best performers, just right to avoid becoming tiresome. It’s versatile for everything: from informal outings in autumn-winter to special occasions all year round, depending on your style. Perhaps those who use atomic bombs will see it as a daily wear, while those who prefer something softer will reserve it for special winter occasions. In cold outdoor conditions, it doesn’t project or warm up as much; it develops better in temperate or cool climates. 10/10
I tried it and it truly smells of chocolate and vanilla. It’s rich, but given the price, I prefer a fresher vanilla cologne.
I love it. It begins with a spicy ginger touch and very soft lavender. Minutes later, the vanilla emerges, nothing cloying, but pleasant. Many might find it gourmand, but for me, it isn’t. I see it as ideal for daytime and heat, though it can be worn all year. It feels more feminine than unisex, perfect for work. The projection isn’t strong on my skin, nothing strident; the vanilla is noticeable close to the skin for about 5-6 hours. As a drawback, there’s little sillage and longevity. It has seemed beautiful to me and could easily become a signature scent.
This has become my signature fragrance for much of the year. It’s sweet and delicious, yet not loud or strident. It’s rounded, as if the scent comes from your skin. It smells of vanilla and more vanilla, but softened by the lavender. I feel sorry that it’s becoming so common, but I understand why, as it’s one of the best launches of recent years. I’ve also received a mountain of compliments.
I have a decant of this as a vanilla fan. At first, it smells purely of lavender, and once it dries down—which takes quite a while—the lavender gives way to a lovely vanilla, but it doesn’t quite convince me. I feel it doesn’t suit my skin as the vanilla is barely noticeable, and I doubt it has any projection.
I appreciate this perfume for its sophistication; it’s a perfect blend of vanilla, lavender, and ginger. Like a balanced infusion where the spices accompany the sweetness that shines when the cocoa notes emerge. The longevity and projection are decent, sometimes lasting all day. For a gourmand with a different twist, Burberry Goddess more than delivers. Although some might see it as basic, that simple combination is perfect and makes it stand out. A sincere 10/10.
The finest vanilla I’ve ever tried: subtle, stylised and warm, a work of art. It’s already my signature. It just needs a bit more projection, but it’s a must for vanilla lovers.
I have a divided heart with this one. I love vanilla, but sometimes I can’t stand such sharp lavender. On my skin, it comes across as masculine, and that herbal contrast never quite clicks. I like it half-heartedly, some days more than others. I think I’ll stick with Angham by Lattafa, which is much friendlier with lavender.
To me, it smells like urine. I don’t get the hype, but tastes differ. That said, it does last on the skin.
