Descripción

Valentino Donna Born In Roma Intense by Valentino is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2023, this composition was created by Amandine Clerc-Marie and Honorine Blanc. In its olfactive development, the top notes reveal bourbon vanilla and amber; the floral heart is anchored by jasmine; and the woody, balsamic base closes the pyramid with benzoin.

Intoxicating! Smells like quality liquor. I love the blend of amber and vanilla in Donna Born in Roma Intense. It’s a much more interesting fragrance than things like Mugler Angel Elixir, which have nothing to do with it in terms of how they smell.

So delicious, I love it and it doesn’t smell like anything else in the Valentino line. The jasmine is sweet due to the vanilla but not cloying. Its trail and longevity are top-notch; I adore it.

  • My go-to scent is Born in Roma, so I wanted to try the Intense knowing I’d love it. And I did: it smells deeper and more mature than the original, more sensual and perfect for evening wear. Both share the same soul, which I associate with a warm, freshly baked sweet treat.

  • So eager to try it. Valentino Donna Born in Roma, the original, is mainstream but one of my favourites: flirtatious, playful, sparkly and sweet to the max. Here I find a more mature, dark and sexy version, of course more intense. It remains fruity, fun and informal, but warmer, denser and more nocturnal. In my opinion, that classic jasmine with fruity notes makes it ideal for summer nights. On my skin it lasts about 8 hours and the projection is brutal. In short, a delicious aroma with good performance with which you won’t go unnoticed. I’m not rushing to buy it but wouldn’t rule out getting a bottle now that I’ve finished the first one.

  • A relative gifted me a sample, and as soon as I wore it, colleagues at the office recognised it immediately. They said it smells like a freshly baked cake. Note, it’s strong; putting it on made me sneeze. For me, the Valentinos have luxury quality.

  • Love at first sniff, exquisite scent but be warned if you’re sensitive to sweetness; my nose detects something that’s neither caramel nor cotton candy. Tried it yesterday and wow! It lasts over 12 hours on my skin and is still there. I’ll test it in spring/summer with more heat, though right now it feels more suited to autumn/winter.

  • I prefer the original fragrance. This one doesn’t have something that makes you want to smell it all day, plus it has less longevity and sillage. Note: If the original Donna Born in Roma seems too sweet to you, this could be your option.

  • I love it; it’s the sexiest, most elegant and nocturnal fragrance I know 😍. You can really smell the jasmine, vanilla and benzoin; it’s sweet but nothing childish or synthetic, quite the opposite. Extreme longevity (+12h).

  • Love at first whiff, exquisite fragrance not suitable for those sensitive to sweetness. My nose detects a note of caramel or cotton candy. Applied it yesterday and wow, on my skin it has over 12 hours of longevity. I’ll try it in spring/summer with more heat, although I feel it’s more for autumn/winter.

I loved it; its dry-down is delicious. Once I read the notes for Alien and imagined a scent for that conjunction, and when I finally tried it, it was nothing like what I expected. Well, this Born in Roma Intense is very similar to what I imagined Alien would be… It’s like a dream come true. I can’t stop smelling it; it’s addictive.

  • What an exquisite and sensual perfume… I’ve tried the classic Donna Born in Roma several times in-store and it smells generic to me, like a teenager’s perfume, even reminding me of Vie Est Belle, which is a thousand times better. But this Intense version fascinates me; it’s very gourmand, dense and sweet. No note screams at my nose. It’s not a tomb government because it doesn’t need to be, but you feel it and others feel it; it projects quite well. Head over heels 😍. If you like vanilla, it’s a must-have.

Opened it as a Christmas present and can’t stop smelling it. I’m addicted to this vanilla with benzoin, a perfect blend. If you don’t like sweet fragrances, you probably won’t like this one either.

  • As the name suggests, it’s the intense version of the EDP. It has a coconut aroma that isn’t declared, perhaps due to the combination of notes it does have, and it lingers from start to finish. It’s sweeter than the EDP, but I feel the original lasts and projects more. If you love duuuulce scents, choose this; if you prefer sweets with that little floral touch, go for the EDP. Either way, you’ll smell incredible.

I opened it as a Christmas present and can’t stop smelling it. I’m addicted to this vanilla, which with the benzoin makes a perfect blend. If you don’t like sweet fragrances, you probably won’t like this one either.

It smells sweeter to me than the classic Donna Born in Roma. Where you’d wear the first one all year round, this one feels heavy; I’d recommend it for days that aren’t so hot.

  • Omg, this is one of the best I’ve tried. I don’t know how the OG smells, but this has something captivating, even if not from the first sniff. At first, it was just a pleasant scent, nothing to get excited about, but over time it became more enveloping. I can still smell it on my hair a week later. I want it and I’m going to buy it.

  • darlenerock

Am I the only one who doesn’t get it? I bought it blind after trying the classic and reading glowing reviews, thinking I’d adore it… well, I didn’t. I’d choose the original a thousand times over. The opening is far too ‘acidic’ for my nose. It’s not citric acid; it’s something off, almost rancid. Some compare it to cat pee… I don’t say it has that, but that’s the vibe. The benzoin is very present and swallows the whole fragrance. The dry-down is more pleasant, but I just can’t stand the opening. Those minutes feel eternal. That’s why it’s no longer in my collection.

  • anamaestracorreo

Can’t wait to restock this. Such rich, warm vanilla. Seriously, no coconut in there? I love it 🤩

  • anamaestracorreo

Need a refill already. What a delicious, warm vanilla. Honestly, this doesn’t contain coconut??? I love it 🤩

  • Personally, I didn’t like it. I love the original, but I couldn’t handle the Intense, so I sold it new. Yes, it is sweeter, but it loses the special characteristics of the original: that ironed or shower-like scent is gone. Instead, there’s a prominent, sharp jasmine with aggressive benjamin and syrup, nothing of the original silk. It’s like a dark, spiced amber, almost burnt, which reminded me of palo santo. It’s not a bad perfume, it’s powerful and intense, but it’s a different vibe and becomes more generic, with little personality other than being intense.

  • What a delight! I’m surprised, never has a perfume this sweet captivated me like this. It becomes addictive over time.

  • Intoxicating aroma, strong and with a wide trail, not recommended if you don’t like heavy and extra-sweet fragrances. The dry-down smells like sweet jasmine and slightly earthy. I love it for fresh days or night outings. Very delicious but I don’t recommend buying it blindly.

  • Intoxicating, strong aroma with a wide trail. Not recommended at all if you don’t like heavy and extra-sweet fragrances. The trail smells of sweet and earthy jasmine. I love it for fresh days or night outings. Very delicious, but don’t buy blindly.

  • juliaguilera

I tested it on a blotter that seemed soaked; that’s not a good idea because it smells all at once and is strange. Sometimes it’s sweet, sparkling and sophisticated, and other times… it smells like pee.

  • Lula Varela

VBIR Parfum is sweeter, fruity and romantic, my signature scent. VBIR Intense is more for winter: initially vanilla, then amber which makes it resinous, but by the time it settles, it becomes much more soothing. We’ll see how it evolves. It sounds similar to Givenchy’s L’Interdit Absolute.

  • anamaestracorreo

Super mega delicious. I hope they never discontinue it. Intoxicating and sweet. Creamy vanilla, lovely jasmine, with a great trail and longevity. Sometimes I let it rest, and when I return to it, I think I don’t need my other perfumes.

  • Chocolate con licor

Exquisite perfume. I love it: it’s amber and resinous with vanilla and jasmine, a super refined and sweet scent that smells expensive. It has a musky or talc-like base that makes it less invasive than L’Interdit. Excellent longevity, a heavy trail but not annoying. I wear it only at night or dusk. It reminds me of L’Interdit Intense in terms of presence: refined, nocturnal, dark, yet with feminine notes. It also evokes Mugler’s Angel Elixir but is sweeter.

  • SScandalosa

What a delight! Deep, dark vanilla, absolutely delicious. I compared it to the Extrait, but I prefer this synthetic version. The longevity is short, but at half the price, I reapply without mercy and it’s sorted. Another gem for my collection.

  • Does it smell like cat pee in the opening? It might be. Does everyone compliment me even 10 hours after I wear it? Also. Does it make up for it? Absolutely. After a few minutes, that ‘pee-like’ note disappears, at least in my nose.

  • I notice a fruit like blackcurrant or strawberry, amber, spicy, vanilla. Warm, resinous, one of those I dare to wear if it is cold. It is somewhat sweet due to the vanilla, but with a resinous and spicy point that makes me like having the vanilla there. It smells very well; it is a scent that does not taste cloying to me. It is dark for me; it lacks the guaiac wood like the original and would be perfect alongside the benzoin. That’s it, the original with benzoin and its little green touch, or this one with guaiac wood.

  • It’s as if you were layering La Belle and Alien. It is a very giftable perfume. Generally, it is liked a lot. Personally, I prefer jasmine fragrances that are more realistic, with a green touch and fresher.

  • Aishalulunim

This perfume is an ambered white floral that matches my style perfectly on paper. On my skin, I notice a fresh opening that quickly darkens, leaving a warm dry down. Nevertheless, the perfume remains too discreet on my skin. The scent fades very quickly, and I stop feeling it before the end of the wear time. Although it is a pleasant fragrance, I prefer aromas with greater presence and evolution on my skin.

  • scentedjimenq

The opening I perceive as super fruity, like blackcurrant and apple. Then it dries down into a very fresh vanilla with jasmine. The dry down leaves a note of lollipop sugar which is not my favourite. I would not buy it, but if I smelled it on someone else, I would not dislike it at all. My favourite flanker (which is less syrupy) is Green Stravaganza.

  • Susana en esencia

Well, I fear I will be unpopular with my comment, but for me, it smells like aftershave lotion. For me, it’s a no thank you.

  • I would love to have a cat whose pee smells like this exquisite perfume. I can smell it for about 12 hours, and it compliments me greatly; it is a jasmine sweetened by a delicious vanilla. It lasts days on hair and clothes.

  • I find it sweet and floral, reminding me a lot of two perfumes: Lou Lou by Cacharel and Scandal Absolu, due to the coconut and sweetness. Very delicious. Its longevity on clothes lasts until washed, and the trail is moderate. I am still testing it; I know that in a month or two, once opened, its trail and longevity will improve.

  • JuliLeggiero

I used to love the original Born in Roma, but it was getting a bit stale, so I decided to try this. Just to clarify, although they are related, they are two completely different worlds. This smells super ambered, resinous, and has a fruity undertone not listed on the notes. I absolutely adore it; it tastes rich and juicy, almost making you want to eat the person wearing it. The downside is that the longevity is terrible, worse than any other fragrance in my collection. On my skin, it lasts an hour with fury, and after two minutes, there is no projection, only a skin scent. I’ve put it at the bottom of the wardrobe to see if it improves with time, but its sad duration disappoints me because I love the fragrance itself, and the original BIR had excellent performance.
