The opening smells like the colour of the bottle: very vanilla and sweet. The jasmine reminds me of Angel Elixir, but it didn’t kill me.
It starts green and natural, then turns sweet and floral without being heavy. I find it pleasant, although I don’t feel it brings any new innovation.
From the box to the scent, it’s all green: grass with a hint of vanilla and a very subtle earthiness, perhaps from the black tea. It’s fresh and slightly sweet, with florals that don’t overpower the tea and citrus. Very different from other designer scents; if you like this style, give it a try.
I can’t find any greenery or tea anywhere. It’s a typical sweet commercial perfume, nothing more. Very generic.
It has become my favourite. It seems fresh yet floral (if that’s possible), lasts a long time, and is totally spring-like. It seems like a wonder; without a doubt, the best of all the Born in Roma.
I can’t detect any green notes or tea. It’s a typical sweet commercial fragrance, very generic.
I went to test it with the hope that it would resemble Rosa Verde. At first it does, but then it suddenly changes and becomes unbearable; it gave me a coughing fit and nausea. I don’t know which ingredient it is, but if you’re sensitive, don’t buy it blindly.
It retains the sweet, vanilla-based, super-feminine base of the original, but the opening smells of soft, aromatic green grass. On skin it lasts four or five hours feeling good, then fades until it disappears after seven or eight hours. In hair it lasts until you shower. I’ve loved it.
It keeps the base of the original: sweet, vanilla-like, and super feminine, but the dry-down is different, smelling of soft, aromatic green grass. On skin, it lasts well for four or five hours before fading to almost nothing by seven or eight hours. On hair, it lasts until you shower. I’ve loved it.
If you’re looking for something fresh, this Valentino is for you. I bought it after reading reviews and studying the notes; it didn’t convince me in the store at first, but after walking around and coming back, I purchased it. At home, once applied to skin, it was another world: I fell in love. It’s rich, fresh, green and acidic like the bottle; I didn’t detect the tea, but after half an hour, a fine vanilla appears and stays. It lasts about four hours like other fresh scents, so you need to reapply. It’s one of my summer perfumes, always on hand; among the Born in Roma collection, it’s definitely the best for me.
If you’re looking for something fresh, this is from Valentino. I bought it based on reviews and studied the notes. In the shop at first it wasn’t what I imagined, but after walking around I came back and bought it. At home, before opening it, I hesitated as to whether I’d like the notes because I hadn’t liked them there. I had a shower and applied it to my skin: what a change! I fell in love; it’s rich, fresh, green, and acidic like the bottle. I didn’t detect the tea, but after half an hour a fine vanilla scent appears and stays with you. The longevity is typical for a fresh scent: about four hours, you reapply and you’re good to go. It’s one of my summer perfumes, it doesn’t disappoint, and I always keep it to hand; it’s the best Born in Roma for me.
It seems like a rich and sweet perfume I can tolerate, but I think it’s for everyday wear. It doesn’t have much longevity or sillage. Given its price, I imagined something stronger for evening, but it’s very soft. I wouldn’t spend money on it.
A few years ago I was a huge fan of the original Born in Roma, but none of its flankers captivated me until I saw this green bottle and tested it. I was pleasantly surprised: the opening is super fresh, with a sweet, pleasant green touch, nothing acidic. As it dries down, it blends with the jasmine and the soft wood from the line, which I like. It lasts about six to seven hours with good projection at the start. I see it as more feminine, ideal for spring/summer. If I find it at a good price, I’ll buy it now that I don’t have the original.
I love it. I’m in the minority who finds it lactonic; it reminds me of Good Girl Légère. I get the impression of green tea with milk and sugar: sweet, creamy, herbal, and sometimes citrusy. I tried the original DBIR and it did nothing for me, but this one does. The longevity is average for designer perfumes today, but there’s nothing to be done about that. I recommend it if you want something fresh, sweet, and creamy all at once.
I tested it in a shop near my home and the sales assistant said it was new and exactly what I was looking for. On paper it seemed ordinary, so I left, but later I smelled it again in duty free: it smelled of sweet, fresh tea. I went back, applied it, and couldn’t stop sniffing myself; it was addictive. I bought the bottle. It lasts about four hours, after which there’s a light rose scent remaining.
I absolutely love it. I’m part of the minority who detects a lactonic note; it reminds me of Good Girl Légère. It’s like green tea with milk and sugar: sweet, creamy, with herbal hints and sometimes citrus. I tried the original DBIR and it didn’t do anything for me, but this one definitely catches my interest. The longevity and sillage are average for designer fragrances nowadays, so there’s not much to be done about that. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for something fresh, sweet, and creamy all at once.
When I tried it, it reminded me of the perfumes I wore when I was ten, those Avon ones; I think it’s the jasmine. It’s the only one I haven’t liked.
I tested it in a store where they told me it was new and exactly what I was looking for. On blotter, it seemed ordinary, so I left. Later, at a hotel duty-free, I tested it on my skin and fell in love: it smells like sweet yet fresh tea. I went back to ask the price, thought it was worth it, bought it, and kept testing it; it was addictive. It lasts about four hours, after which a faint rose note lingers.
Reminded me of the Avon perfumes I used to wear when I was ten; I think it’s the jasmine, which is the only note I haven’t liked.
It’s a perfume that convinced me on the third attempt. The first time I tried it on blotter, it was flat; I only felt that tea note, nothing more. The second time I put it on skin, I felt that jasmine note which made it feel floral and very little sweet, but it still felt green and verbal. Finally, I decided to wear it as I use it and realised that, at least on me, it has a duration of over 6 hours, with an intimate trail without being overwhelming. It’s now in my collection and has become one of my favourites.
It’s a completely winter perfume; even with a bit of warmth in autumn, it puts me off because I find it cloying and heavy, but in winter with the cold, it’s brilliant. Sweet and floral; I detect something special about it. From my point of view, it has nothing to do with the original (the rose).
A delicious fragrance for everyday wear, but it’s too expensive to be everyday. What a pity.
I bought it blind, which is something I swear I won’t do again, but then things like this happen; love at first sniff and the good intentions go out the window. It’s sweet and floral; I don’t detect any powdery note anywhere.
When I first discovered these perfumes, I tried the original and loved it; everyone was showing it off to me. For me, it’s a party or evening perfume. Then my sister got samples of this one and I didn’t like it at all; I felt it was very green and very floral. I decided to give it a try for the office and to wear it during the day, and I loved it. On my skin, it feels like a rich sweet without being cloying; with the vanilla but nothing overwhelming. It’s a very wearable, sweet, feminine, floral and vanilla-scented fragrance, even elegant. I love it.
It’s a marvel: fresh, clean, long-lasting and a true delight.
It’s a wonderful perfume, one of my favourites; a fresh, clean and long-lasting fragrance, a true delight.
Smells as described, meh, I don’t see anything standout.
My favourite Valentino flanker so far. I must admit the opening seemed a bit masculine due to the tea note, but as time passes, the perfume becomes sweet and creamy without losing its fresh side. It’s a delicious perfume and perfect for everyday wear, nothing cloying, easy to wear and different from what I have in my collection. It lasts about 6 hours on my skin.
It’s a good perfume and I was surprised by the trail it leaves on my skin. However, for my taste, it’s too green. It smells like a tea bag; it’s elegant but very herbal. As a fresh perfume, I usually prefer fruitier, juicier options, and this leans more towards a green profile that doesn’t quite fit my style. I think it could work very well for people seeking this type of profile, but in my case, it’s not a fragrance with which I feel identified.
It’s a super pleasant fragrance in all its facets (it varies a lot on blotter, not so much on skin). The opening is super fresh, like a freshly cut, clean, damp meadow. If it’s the tea note, it’s fresh leaves. Then it evolves into a very pretty, fresh jasmine. This is the dominant stage, lasting about four hours with good trail and projection. Afterwards, a soft vanilla remains, more skin-scented, which I can still detect 8-9 hours later. It’s not a contrasting aroma; it’s simple but fresh, light and sweet. I use it quite a bit for the gym.
