  • I’d been searching for a pure vanilla perfume, as the others were blends with citrus or spices. This is simply vanilla, which is what I wanted. It smells soft, doesn’t hit hard or become cloying. It lasts half a day. I recommend it for day or night. I’m a man and I think it’s unisex.

  • I use it for sleeping. It smells like cookies and the boys love it. Ideal for keeping in the car and using at any time.

  • I have it and it doesn’t work for me. Perhaps because it’s an eco-friendly line, it smells of dry, rough vanilla with no sweetness at all. Nothing like the gourmand vanilla I love. I remember using a vanilla Garnier shampoo as a teenager; it was the juiciest and warmest scent I’d ever smelled, unfortunately it’s no longer available.

  • I have it and it doesn’t work for me. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s an eco-friendly line, but it smells of dry, harsh vanilla, nothing sweet. It’s worlds away from the gourmand vanilla I adore. As a teenager, I used a vanilla shampoo from Garnier; it was the most delicious, warm, and rich, but unfortunately, it’s no longer available.

  • Extremely cloying and artificial; more suitable for a quinceañera than real life. I was looking for a cookie and custard smell, and this isn’t it. I’ve discarded it. If you want rich, creamy vanilla, try Yves Rocher’s Vanilla Noire. The downside is it doesn’t last long on the skin.

  • Cloying and artificial for quinceañeras; I’m still searching for the scent of custard tarts but this won’t be it. I have it and will be throwing it away. If you want rich, creamy vanilla from Yves Rocher, I’d recommend Vanilla Noire Parfum. The pity is that it doesn’t last long on my skin.

I adore it! It’s a delicious scent, like cookies or bonbons, sweet to madness, even to the point of waking the appetite in those who perceive it. I’ve received all kinds of positive comments; I wore it a lot at uni and they knew I was there solely by the scent, a quality we all seek. It’s quite economical, and for such a low price, you get a real gem. I don’t currently own it, but I won’t hesitate to buy it again when I find it. For those who love very sweet perfumes like me, you must try it.

I adore it! To me, it smells like cookies or bonbons, sweet to the point of madness, even to the point of waking up my appetite. I’ve received positive comments; I used it a lot at university and everyone knew I was around by the scent, a quality we seek in a fragrance. It’s economical and for that price, it’s a gem. I don’t currently have it, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. For those who love very sweet scents, you must try it.

  • Natural vanilla scent, super subtle and perfect for everyday wear. Nothing cloying or overly ambitious, just delicious and fresh vanilla, which is hard to find.

  • Every time I wear it, people say I smell like the caramelised nuts at fairs; for those who don’t know, they’re caramelised almonds that are delicious. I’ve been using it for years, and although it’s more geared towards teenagers, I swear it’s a joy for me to wear daily in winter.

  • Lasts a proper long time – over twelve hours on skin and clothes, even days later. I like it, but I only use it sparingly because it smells like a heart attack to some and drives others mad; there’s no middle ground. I’ve never mixed it, but I think it could work well together; I’ll let you know if I get round to trying it.

  • It has an astonishing longevity; it lasts over 12 hours on skin and clothes for several days. I like it, but I use it in minimal quantities. It’s not the first time I’ve encountered people who find it utterly offensive, yet others go crazy for it; there’s rarely a middle ground. I’ve never dared to mix it, but I believe there could be excellent combinations; I’ll let you know if I try it and it works well.

Ideal for bedtime; it feels so warm, as if it’s embracing you. Synthetic? Of course it is, and it smells synthetic, but that doesn’t make it ugly; it’s a lovely, linear, comforting and coquettish fragrance. I detect a very sweet vanilla. The longevity is moderate and the projection very soft; I wouldn’t wear it out, only at home, especially before sleep.

It’s a gourmand scent that requires moderation; otherwise, you’ll end up smelling like hotcakes, as my little nephew pointed out. That said, it’s intoxicating and I love it!

  • I used it daily for going to class and work. Extremely sweet. Quite persistent at first, but not very long-lasting. My sister, a real sweet-tooth, told me someone would take a bite out of me just from smelling like dessert!

  • I stopped wearing it because on two occasions bees landed on my clothes sprayed with this (sometimes days earlier); that says it all.

What memories. They no longer make it, yet I don’t need the bottle to conjure its scent. I’d love to own it, though I wouldn’t wear it outside anymore as it doesn’t suit my style or personality. I don’t think it would have appealed to everyone either; it was very, very cloying. I don’t recall receiving compliments, and I’m not surprised; it was simply too sweet. I discovered it at a university seminar: it smelled of sugared vanilla for cakes, and I adored it. I asked a girl and she told me it was by Yves Rocher. I bought it and wore it at uni for years, until Prada Candy came along—sweet, but with more depth. Now I prefer earthier, less linear scents that offer more than just a sweetshop vibe. Even within gourmands, I seek a touch of ‘dirty’, like Scandal before its reformulation. But I’ll always hold fond memories of this cologne, which sparked my interest in perfumery.

Such fond memories. It’s no longer manufactured, but I don’t need the bottle to evoke the scent. I’d love to have one, though I wouldn’t wear it out as it doesn’t suit my style or personality. I also don’t think everyone would like it; it was extremely cloying. I don’t recall receiving compliments, and I’m not surprised, as it was too sweet. I discovered it at a university seminar; the aroma always reminded me of sugary vanilla for cakes. I asked a girl and she said it was the Yves Rocher one. I wore it for years at university until Prada Candy came out, which was deeper and more charming. Now I prefer earthier, less linear scents that offer more than just smelling like a sweet shop. Even with gourmand perfumes, I like them to have a touch of ‘dirty’ quality (like Scandal before reformulation). However, I will always keep a good memory of this cologne, which sparked my interest in perfumes.

What a treat! I picked it up at a bazaar in 31-degree heat and couldn’t resist; I’m a sucker for sweets. It smells of pure vanilla dessert, very warm; it’s wearable in summer, but it’s the perfect companion for rain and cold—I’m dying to wear it in autumn. What a shame they’ve discontinued it.
