WRAPPED IN ALMOND POWDER MEMORIES. Another olfactory ‘flashback’ that came with me alongside the body milk. When I tried Heliotrope in the perfumerie, it was like opening a drawer from the past and finding intact the Gal Perfumada Vaseline, the pink tub of old. That powdery and creamy scent I hadn’t smelled in years, but which suddenly brought me back to childhood: to the winters covering my face before seeing the snow, or waiting for the Three Wise Men amidst the cold. Heliotrope is that embrace in the form of a fragrance that floats in the air long after it has evaporated. A talc-like aroma evoking an ointment with almonds, rose, and heliotrope, perfect for drifting off to sleep as if rocked by a lullaby, wrapped in nostalgia and comfort.

Absolute delight for almond lovers in fragrances. It is a divine absolute of almond, heliotrope, and a hint of liquor, with an accidentally fermented but very subtle touch, without excess. I tested it before bed and woke up with it intact. More than 8 hours of performance, and that is only Eau de Toilette. Excellent quality. There is nothing more to say; I recommend it if you are into almond perfumes.
For almond lovers, this is a divine absolute: almond, heliotrope, and a touch of liquor, with a very subtle accidental fermentation and no excesses. I tested it before sleeping and woke up with the perfume intact; it lasted over 8 hours being only Eau de Toilette. The quality is excellent. If you like almond perfumes, I recommend it without hesitation.
It is fantastic: an almond bathed in licorish vanilla with a flow of yellow thorn. For me, that is exactly what it is. I have the EDT and it has the longevity of an EDP, lasting over 6 hours on skin. It is an excellent purchase; it is strong and noticeable, not suitable for those seeking soft and boring perfumes.
I have sniffed it several times on blotter and on skin. I liked it very much but ultimately did not take it with me. It is sweet and serious; sweet but not like a sweet shop, it has a more regal air. At times it becomes rough in its scent; it is a bitter almond. It has good longevity and sillage. I think it was what I liked most from Etro, alongside Dianthus, although Dianthus was less perceptible.
I have been looking for years for the perfume that would match that Etro body milk I was gifted, which I adored for being sweet, delicate, and almond-scented without being cloying. Coincidentally, I found the Heliotrope description and it is exactly what I wanted. Although I know nothing of its performance, I am sure it is the fragrance of that milk. It has notes of vanillic, powdery heliotrope, like a dense almond milk or vanillic playdough, yet not coarse or dirty; it has musky nuances and the almond seems more like its shell, floury and woody, with a sombre and sensual finish thanks to the balsam of Peru and Tolu. I want to try it now!
