Mmmm, mmm, mm… Sweet Water! What a coincidence, all four notes are my absolute favourites. Almond, tonka bean and heliotrope take centre stage; the coconut is subtle but present, and although I adore it, I don’t mind it being less prominent. What I was looking for were the almonds, and I’m absolutely delighted, as they can sometimes lean heavily towards cherry. It’s a sweet perfume, very sweet! The trail is good, and the longevity is spectacular. It has a slightly oily touch, I suppose due to the concentration, I’m not sure. I loved mixing it with Jour de Fête because both smell of sweet almonds, though each in its own style; however, sometimes JdF lacks the sweetness that Dolce Acqua certainly has.
