It caught me by surprise: it smells like a masculine composition with an edible twist and a smoky touch. It’s unisex, leaning towards male, and very pleasant. At first, I detect popcorn, then it settles into a warm, sweet fragrance blending cinnamon, apple, dried apricots, and hazelnuts over a base of cedar, vanilla, labdanum, and tonka. It reminds me of my father’s classic masculine scent mixed with gourmand, thanks to the cedar and labdanum that set the rhythm. At four hours, the spiced vanilla dominates until the end. Moderate-to-notable sillage and lasts 6-7 hours on my skin. It is purposeful, elegant, and interesting, although somewhat modest in longevity for its price. It is expensive, but who could resist a decant? Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 6.5/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 3/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 4/10. Yes, I would buy again.
I was caught off guard by a very interesting perfume: it smells like a masculine base with an original twist towards the edible and smoky notes. The result is unisex, leaning slightly masculine, and very pleasant. Upon spraying, I notice the popcorn. Then it settles into a warm, sweet fragrance blending cinnamon, apple, dried apricots, and hazelnuts with cedar, vanilla, labdanum, and tonka at the base. I believe it’s the cedar and labdanum, bold and typical masculine notes, that make me think of wearing a dad’s classic mixed with something gourmand. After a few hours, the dry-down leaves a spiced vanilla that lingers until the end. It has moderate-to-notable sillage and lasts 6-7 hours on my skin. Personally, I found it purposeful, elegant, and interesting, although somewhat modest in longevity for its price. Because unfortunately, it is very expensive. However, who could resist buying a decant? Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 6.5/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 3/10, Packaging 4/10. Would I buy again? Yes.
It’s becoming increasingly difficult to surprise me with perfumes, and this is no exception. It smells great if you’re looking for something that simply ‘smells good’, but artistically and regarding its price, it falls short. I expected a gourmand bomb with an apple tart and cinnamon base that would offer something new, but it doesn’t. The best part is the opening, where the apple tart and popcorn add an original touch, but it doesn’t last long. Then comes the heart phase, basically tonka bean with woods and nuts. With so many niche and commercial fragrances based on this note, I don’t see the point of spending so much on something repetitive. It’s only worth it if you’re looking for something like this and don’t already have anything similar. The longevity is medium-low, around 5-6 hours on skin, with moderate projection that lasts an hour before fading to skin scent.
Lately, the more perfumes I try, the less surprised I am, and that is where this one fails. It smells great if you’re looking for something that simply ‘smells good’; it’s perfect, no doubt. But from an artistic point of view and regarding the price, I think it falls short. I expected a gourmand bomb with an apple tart and cinnamon base that would offer something new, but no, for me, it stops there. It’s a pity. The best part is the opening, where the apple tart mixes with popcorn, a very original touch. But it doesn’t last long; within minutes, the heart enters, basically tonka bean. It has a certain nutty touch, balsamic notes, and woods, but for my nose, what dominates is the tonka. With so many niches based on it (Tonka Fever, Velvet Tonka…) and commercial ones like Armani Code Profumo, I don’t see the point of spending so much on something I’ve heard a thousand times and already own. If you’re looking for this and don’t have anything similar, it could be a pretty option because it smells very well and has high quality. The longevity is medium-low, around 5-6 hours on skin, with moderate projection that lasts an hour before fading to skin scent.
A beautiful gourmand where caramel and tonka bean dominate, with a milky touch despite not listing milk. Cinnamon and apricot are perceptible, but the popcorn, nuts, and apple pie disappear in seconds. On my skin, it transforms into a warm, tasty apricot custard. It’s more feminine, autumnal, and daytime, but its performance is mediocre. Is it worth the cost? No. The market has better options like Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 71, What About Pop by THO, or Delizia Oscura Gold by Calaj.
A beautiful gourmand. On my skin, caramel and tonka bean dominate. I notice a milky touch, although it doesn’t list milk in the notes. The cinnamon feels strong, as does the apricot. I missed the popcorn, nuts, and the apple trail, which disappear in five seconds. On my skin, it stays as an apricot custard, tasty, light, and warm. It is more feminine than masculine, autumnal, daytime, and has mediocre performance. Is it worth it? No. The market is saturated with gourmands of medium, high, and outstanding quality… and my recommendations would be: Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 71, What About Pop by THO, and Delizia Oscura Gold by Calaj.
On skin, the opening smells of almond biscuit or Jijona nougat, with a salty touch that yields to sweet, vanilla-infused citrus notes. Although the apple scent is noticeable for an hour, the popcorn and cake hints become diffuse. It’s a perfect gourmand for cold weather and lasts eight hours, but test it on skin first because the notes settle all at once rather than in stages. In the end, it leaves a toasted, vanilla trail reminiscent of Parfums de Marly. It’s unisex, though it varies by gender, but the price doesn’t justify the content; there are better unisex popcorn options like ELO’s La fin du monde or THO’s What about pop, and others with a better apple note like Theodoros Kalotinis’s Apple pie. If you’re not a collector, test before buying blind.
