I’ve tried this Melos by Pernoire, a house I absolutely love and already own three of, but this isn’t one of my favourites. It smells to me of honey and peanuts, even though I know there are no peanuts in it; the same goes for hazelnut. I barely detect the other notes. I’m not a fan of honey; that sweet note turns me off from start to finish. It’s original and surely has its audience, but it’s not for me. What does stand out is its trail, which is phenomenal, and its longevity, which is beastly—even better than others from the brand. I see it as unisex, perhaps leaning slightly feminine, and not very versatile, probably because the honey overwhelms me. I’d wear it in cold weather. Scent: 6/10, Longevity: 9/10, Projection: 10/10, Price: €240 for 50ml.
