Moustache Eau de Parfum by Rochas is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by perfumer Natalie Gracia-Cetto. • Just arrived today. The opening scent is very rich, but what surprised me most is its dry-down; I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this, but it reminds me of Cedrat Boise Intense. Perhaps I should try it more times to give a clearer verdict, but from the first impression, that’s what I felt. Obviously a very economical perfume with an exquisite scent. Longevity and projection are quite good for now, though I will have to test it in different situations. Yes, I recommend it.

  • Just arrived and I’ve just sprayed it on my arm. I can’t say anything yet about longevity. But how good it smells is not normal. Bought for €20 at Notino with a promotion; just by the scent it’s worth it. It’s like it lasts 30 minutes, it’s a real treat. No age limit. It’s a delight. Update: I’ve worn it for 7 hours and I can still smell it. I fulfilled my girlfriend’s and sister’s wishes. 100% recommended. At that price, few better perfumes will be found.

  • A proper masterpiece! €20 for 75 ml seems like a ridiculous price; perhaps I have too much affection for it, hence my hype, but it seems like a super elegant, super sexy, and very apt perfume for a winter night out on a date, party, or formal event, making it versatile. Performance is a bit weak on my skin, around 4 hours, and perhaps a bit more on clothes, 6-7, with moderate projection but nothing that can’t be resolved with a re-application. The scent is very similar to Tuxedo, perhaps a bit more woody and rustic, but without losing its quality. For me, it’s a perfume that is well worth it for its price, and it’s becoming harder to find every day. To each their own.

Just arrived. I’ve had it for a year and two months. I’ve loved the scent: powdery, mandarin and pepper opening, then rose and cedar kick in immediately, turning sweet and spicy. It hasn’t been mentioned here, but it reminds me of Dior Fahrenheit EDT until its dry-down, and I love that. Good longevity. I recommend it for its scent and price; the trail is moderate. A good purchase with the three B’s. P.S.: a certain Coca-Cola scent when it’s down to skin-scent.

  • It is the perfume with the worst performance out of the 15 I own. It’s skin-scent after 15 minutes and gone by an hour. As for the smell, don’t buy it if you’re under 30. It’s very matronly, and I don’t think any 20-year-old woman would like it. It smells nice, but it’s not a scent you’d wear out on the street. The good news is it only cost me €20.

  • Among those who claim ‘Davidoff Cool Water is a masterpiece’ or ‘Nautica Voyage is the best thing since sliced bread’, comes ‘Rochas Moustache EDP’, and it is enchanting. You have to laugh: there’s a Spanish saying that when a fool catches a pretty girl, he follows her and never lets go. That’s what happens with current YouTubers; one says ‘this is mega cool’, and the others repeat it like parrots. If you want to smell like your grandmother in the 70s (mind the nuance, not your grandfather), this is undoubtedly your perfume. It’s ultra-synthetic at the opening, middle, and dry-down, headache-inducing, and one of those that gives you a migraine. Very vintage and feminine, a mix between old-school hairspray and amber blush. As a lover of 90s and classic perfumery (Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Drakkar Noir, Guerlain Heritage, Habit Rouge, Quorum…), please do not introduce this aberration into this group. I will say it and repeat it: DO NOT BUY PERFUMES BLINDLY. Test it first and don’t believe everything reviewers say. Cheap often comes dear. Only buy what you personally like.

  • I adore the scent, and the value for money is laughable, but the longevity is short. It’s perfect for occasions where three hours of projection is more than enough. It opens effervescent, spicy, and luminous, drying down to a clean rose with vanilla and woods that give it body. The resin adds a nice touch of sophistication. In terms of composition, it stands out. The price is also excellent, though it hurts that it fades so quickly. I accept that at €25, it deserves a place in my collection.

  • Rochas Moustache: I had resisted buying it for a long time because comments said it had been reformulated and barely lasted, but I found it while walking with my wife. I had so many expectations I didn’t know what to expect. It is a fragrance with elegance and distinction; I love the subtle, delicate yet perceptible rose, which plays wonderfully with a well-crafted vanilla and mandarin. The pepper adds a very well-presented masculine touch, without being strident, providing the right amount of testosterone to a delicate and refined composition. It’s warm, fine, elegant, sophisticated, and super sexy. A very pleasant surprise, and for the price, I couldn’t be happier. Ideal for going out as a couple; its natural habitat is cool and cold weather. My wife has loved it very much. Although it’s not a beast in projection, in my case, it has been clearly perceptible. If you find it at a reasonable price, it’s definitely worth it. Although I found it cheaper, I think paying around $70 for 125 ml is not bad. Scent: 10. Projection: Moderate. Longevity: 6 hours. Recommended.

Setting aside the price, it is a truly deserving composition. Adding the price factor, it’s an absolute bargain. It’s a non-youthful, non-mature, complex, and sophisticated scent, just like the DNA of whoever inspires it. I owned and used Tuxedo for a while and eventually sold it; not for no reason, I bought it with certainty that it was very good, but to be honest, it eventually bored me, and when something doesn’t fill you, it’s almost always better to move on, plus I’ve developed a dislike for patchouli, which isn’t my thing. But here things change: this has more life, evolves more, with a super pleasant citrus opening that dries down to vanilla-rose-patchouli (I notice the patchouli much less, which is important), so characteristic of Tuxedo. To be honest, I would like to treat it not as a clone, but I can’t ignore the extremely high similarity, especially in the dry-down. In performance, both go very well for the type of fragrance they aim to be. But as I say, having owned both, getting this around €20-75… what can I say, saying it’s worth it is an understatement.

  • nicovega209

Absolutely stunning! I’ve been dying to try this for years, and the red pepper note at the opening is incredible. It’s 100% romantic, perfect for chilly days.

  • I waited a long time to try it. Perhaps due to the hype and the faith I had, my standards were too high. The truth is it didn’t fully convince me. It smells different, has its charm, but definitely not for me. I bought a decant and used it in various circumstances. It seems to lack potency; the rose and woods are there but very timidly. It doesn’t feel formal or sexy to me. Perhaps other Tuxedo family members have more presence (certainly Kismet is even softer), but this one seems stuck in no man’s land. Obviously, a large percentage of people love this perfume and I’m glad for them. Sadly, it disappointed me. Fundamentally, try before you buy, if you can, but please do!

  • It’s true the price is a laugh, although I can’t find the vanilla anywhere. I do perceive the pepper and the rose everywhere, to the point where it becomes overwhelming. Don’t even think about wearing this in an enclosed space; it gives me a headache. But if you’re going out on the street at night and it’s cold, it’s very good. I see it as unisex and don’t think it’s for everyone, but considering the price, take the risk, but if you’re expecting a sweet gourmet fragrance, forget it.

  • You see the notes and it catches your eye, especially with the hype, like a clone of Tuxedo. It’s very similar, though with less punch than Turathi Brown. Personally, it’s a fragrance I dislike completely. Neither the vanilla nor the woods, but rather a smell of rose and patchouli that I honestly consider old-lady perfume.

  • I was looking for a vanilla scent different from the ones I have; the only one with such a strong note in my collection is Khamrah Qahwa, which isn’t its main note either, so I sought this and the truth is it exceeded my expectations. Barely spraying it, it smells fresh yet warm and evolves wonderfully thanks to the pink pepper, feeling elegant but not too complex, which suits it well as less is more. As it dries down, it reminded me of Givenchy Reserve Privé, but without that slightly ‘plastic’ note the latter has; in Rochas, it smells softer and more pleasant, great even in summer for fresh days, definitely a good blind buy without regrets, and I look forward to winter to see its potential.

  • I bought it with great expectations due to the positive reviews online, and pff… I can’t stand it; that sweet note discourages me. I’ve tried it several times and it just puts me off 🙁 For me, it was a good lesson in not blindly trusting the hype. Definitely, do not recommend buying without trying.

  • Some comments I read here are unfair. This doesn’t smell like grandma, nor do some grandmas have such adventurous taste. It’s a perfume that works, but it’s not a marvel that will make women ask what you’re wearing; however, it is pleasant. You can’t expect more for the price paid; it delivers.

  • I owned it and it bored me quickly because I felt it was too mature for my taste, so I gifted it away. Over time, I became a fan of retro, classic, old-school, and gentlemanly scents, and started remembering it with affection to buy it again. It’s not entirely old-school, far from it. It’s one of those rare cases that perfectly blends a vintage vibe with the modern; Top Gentleman modernised to 100%.

  • I’ll be a hypocrite because I absolutely love it. I admit I look for different perfumes, not too commercial, but this Moustache has surprised me for the better. Excellent value for money for me. After two hours I’ve already received three compliments, and for the jealous ones: no, it’s not from the same person, and they are all under 37. Its trail is moderate, perhaps lower than I’d like. In terms of longevity, for now, I’m getting four hours and it still smells when I move. It’s not tiring, perhaps because it’s new. Honestly, I’ve loved it from the bottle to the fragrance.

  • I bought Rochas Moustache a year ago and it was hard to get used to; reading the notes I expected something else. The opening is exquisite, with a very prominent natural mandarin, woods, and floral undertones, but as it dries down, the patchouli takes over, though the mandarin remains, and the vanilla is there but very in the background. I recommend it for those over 25, but be careful not to buy blindly. It shines in the cold and at night, although there are better options for that. It’s citrusy, slightly sweet, woody with a very noticeable spicy base.

  • Josué González Céspedes

One by one with Tuxedo, thanks to Andrés Croxxato for the push; he wasn’t wrong, it’s a marvel.

  • Candrezfernandez

Very rich perfume that stands out from the ordinary. If you’re looking for something that smells different, this is it, but beware: if you’re looking for something normal, don’t buy this and try it first. It generates compliments.

  • zmjuanpablo

Well, I have no reservations about this fragrance regarding performance or price, which is very convenient. Regarding longevity: if I apply it on skin or bed linen before sleeping, it’s still there when I wake up, so I’m satisfied. My problem is that it smells outdated, doesn’t it? Like an old person. Its sweet notes with vanilla and the floral base don’t give me a very masculine vibe. Perhaps in another 10 years.

  • Hooray! The fragrance is a hit for people who have turned grey. The opening is so pleasant that when it dries, about half an hour later, I get an olfactory dip that sometimes doesn’t recover. Opening is realistic and tasty mandarin. Upon drying, a constant note of very muted rose wraps around (in my case) with earthy patchouli, something woody and a touch of oriental that I’d say is cinnamon or some ingredient with an oriental nod. I used it daily until mid-spring; on my skin it loses a lot with the heat. I resume it in September and for 8 or 9 months I don’t leave it from Monday to Friday. P.S.: it has a flaw I forgive for the price; it’s a fickle fragrance; some days it lasts well and others it disappears, some days it projects decently and others it stays skin-only. Anyway, a fickle fragrance. Best regards.

  • I think it’s a very good fragrance. I disagree with those who say it smells like an older person. My only objection is the longevity, really very short. Otherwise, the mandarin feels sophisticated and the scent is very rich.

I had to give my opinion on this perfume, a weakness in my collection. I can only speak in raves. A scent that, they say, follows the DNA of Tuxedo, which I never tried. Not knowing the YSL one, this Rochas Moustache EDP seemed different, novel in the designer world. Opening with effervescent mandarin and pink pepper; then fresh, vibrant, cheerful rose enters, like morning dew. Cedar adds cleanliness, sobriety, and masculinity. At the base, the magic happens: benzoin resin, bourbon vanilla caramelised and toasted with patchouli, which darkens the rose like at dusk, leaving a masculine, caramelised, and toasted vanilla in perfect balance. It generates mystery, sensuality, and seriousness. The bottle is incredible, elegant, heavy glass, and dark amber liquid that hints at a warm, enveloping scent. Accessible price for 125ml, very good aromatic quality. If I had to choose one word: Refined. It doesn’t smell old or like an older person. It is refined, mysterious, elegant, sensual. Ideal for Bruce Wayne on a romantic date in a luxury restaurant with a cello. Season: Autumn/Spring. Use: Nighttime, admits cold days. Attire: Semi-formal and up. Character: Sensual, serious, conqueror. Situation: Dates, dinners. Not youthful or fun. Longevity: Average, 4-6h. Projection: Medium/Low. Sillage: Medium. Age: 30+. Gender: Male. Quality: 8.5/10. Recommendation: Yes! Although if you like current super-sweet and simple scents, this wonder isn’t for you. ▪️ Dr. Peste ⚕️

A gem of perfumery that seems to be discontinued every day. I keep it like gold in a cloth; a backup is mandatory just in case. It is a softened, complementary version to Turathi Brown. Which one is closer to Tuxedo? No idea, I haven’t heard of it, but both are wonderful. They are earthy, slightly citrusy, with a very subtle sweet and chocolatey touch.

  • diegogr33

Reformulated. The new bottles aren’t like the 2018 ones; those had a vanilla-amber appearance with balanced woods, spices, and rose. That version is out of stock, and when I tried the new ones, I noticed they had reduced the amber and added more orange. I found the longevity to be short and the projection weak.

  • Franbarber

For me, better than the original, I have Tuxedo, but I prefer Moustache. My opinion: don’t spend €300 on Tuxedo when you can get a better one for €30. That’s what someone who only buys niche says.

  • What can you expect from a €20 perfume that is an all-rounder, with a spectacular crystal bottle and a cap better than many niche brands, plus a balanced fragrance that gives a kick to Arab aberrations? Despite being reformulated, it keeps selling because people like it. Excuse me, but I don’t understand the dismissive criticism of this cheap gem; ‘My God’… for another cheap trinket I wouldn’t have cared, but my Moustache… Mmmmm. Edit: I have a 2023 batch and this is performing brilliantly. Perfect 7-8 hours. I’m blown away; the first year I was getting a scraped 5 hours. That’s what quality and oxidation are about.

  • blvck-w-wilson

I bought this blind based on the good reviews and I absolutely have no regrets. It is very sophisticated, pleasant, and different from everything else I own. The composition is first-class. In terms of projection, it feels more intimate; if you don’t like to project loudly, this is for you. The bottle is pretty and the sillage is incredible. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the longevity is short: at best half an hour with a strong scent, and from the third to the sixth hour it’s skin-only. For the price, I have no complaints, but when I wear it, I apply it several times a day. I wish it lasted longer. It makes you develop quite an attachment. For the price, it is delicious and high-quality; it seems like you’re wearing something worth three times as much. Totally recommended.

  • ManucoSeven

It convinced me much more than Turathi Brown, as it’s at least a sweet and more serious scent. It still reminds me of that sweet chilli tamarind from the Wini palette, haha, but I see this as much more usable. It’s a quite particular scent, for special occasions but nothing bold or risky. I consider it can be used in summer evenings.

  • I’ve read all the reviews and it seems there’s nothing new to say 🥲. It’s an elegant men’s scent and totally different from today’s perfumes. Here you won’t find those typical notes of leather, lavender, amber, or incense. This is pure elegance, sophistication, and luxury of another level. ❌ Projection and longevity are scarce. Although we can’t complain about the price, you have to apply it generously and reapply. However, I think that gives it a touch of mystery: people feel something in the air but don’t smell it with full intensity. 𝙋𝘿: The first time I used it, I put on about 15 sprays. In less than 30 minutes I had already received three compliments (one man and two women). I was shocked, haha. I have at least 120 fragrances and I like using them all, so I don’t use Moustache much, but I should.

  • It’s a very manly perfume that is generally well-liked, although it’s not a bomb. It may seem mature, but a young person could wear it without any problem on special occasions like a date, accompanied by good clothing.

  • Fragranticman

For those who like the DNA of the now discontinued YSL Tuxedo and know it, they’ll love it; for those who like that DNA but don’t know it, they can buy it blind. It’s not my style, but I can’t deny it’s a great fragrance for what it offers and the price it has. It has sophistication and elegance thanks to a patchouli sweetened with vanilla in a sober way, nothing strident. There are also other Arabic options even cheaper than this.

  • The scent is brilliant: few men’s perfumes are based on rose, and this is one of the few that does it well, moving away from current trends to offer something timeless. The flaw is that it projects nothing; beyond a metre, no one notices you’re wearing it, so it’s just for your own enjoyment. It’s impossible for me not to raise my arm and smell it twice when I apply it. I’ll try other options like Turathi Brown to see if they perform better, but, without it being a bad purchase at all (it cost me €20), I can’t recommend something with such poor performance. Scent: 8, Projection: 4, Longevity: 5.5

  • I was going to write a review, but just below Esencio couldn’t put it better than I could. I subscribe to every word. It’s a perfume with a wonderful scent; in my opinion, few designer fragrances smell better than this, exactly as they are. No modern gimmicks, no trends, neither outdated nor old-fashioned. Perfect for any situation, season, day, night… But it’s a shame the performance is worse than mediocre, even with excessive sprays. The trail stays in a personal bubble, feeling quite decent for two hours, but by the third hour it drops sharply and by the fourth you can barely smell it at arm’s length. All this despite letting it macerate for two months with no improvement whatsoever. Its price fluctuates quite a bit and you can find it, remember the 75ml bottle, in a range of €20 to €40. In my case it was €30, but if you find it for €20 or so, I can recommend it if you’re looking for a perfume for intimate moments, friends’ gatherings, family time, or office work. If you find it from €30 upwards, I don’t see it as a good purchase at all, especially if you plan to wear it out unless you carry an atomiser and intend to empty half a bottle in a long night. PS: I haven’t seen any comments reflecting this and I’m surprised, but having also used Acqua di Gio Parfum and it being my favourite, I see quite a few similarities in their dry downs between these two. I suppose it’s due to the resins and patchouli both declare.

  • Lucapereirafitperfumes

What a delicious fragrance, super addictive! It’s one of my favourite scents; if it didn’t have such a weak trail and longevity, it would be my signature perfume. If Tuxedo smelled like this but with more trail and longevity, it would be worth every penny, truth be told.

  • This scent is in a league of its own, better than what you’ll find in perfumeries nowadays. Elegant, seductive, and addictive: if you put it on the back of your hand, you can’t help but lean in to smell it. It has class, so you need to dress well to wear it. It’s subtle; it’s not meant to be a beast or overpowering. What it wants to do is invite you closer, to investigate where it’s coming from, because it’s a scent of closeness, of a hug, of intimate conversation. It’s true it doesn’t last eight hours, but four or five is perfectly fine, and if you take a decant and refresh, you’ll get all the compliments. Plus, on a summer evening it feels perfect. Perhaps among One Million, JPG, or Invictus you won’t even notice it, but that’s not its league; its league is elegance. I think it suits mature men over 35 better, and on a woman… I can imagine it and I don’t dislike it at all. In short, it’s a mature masterpiece that should be in any collection worth its salt.

  • Very rich. At first, it smells of vanilla, but over time it shifts to mandarin with a sweet, spicy touch, perhaps due to the pink pepper. Then the rose and vanilla emerge subtly. Nothing heavy, elegant, and perfect for the cold. Buy it blind; it smells incredible.

  • Time for my take: a spicy, vanilla, and amber blend. It opens with super-real pink pepper, as if you’ve just crushed it in your hand; spicy, fresh, and fruity all at once for about 10 minutes, with the mandarin adding body. The heart doesn’t really shine; cedar and rose sit in the background to round things off, not as protagonists but adding complexity. The base is the star: sweet, balsamic benzoin resin, addictive, with an unobtrusive vanilla that’s spicy and warm, plus a patchouli that gives a tobacco-like kick without actually being tobacco. The base lasts 6–7 hours. It smells a bit ‘old school’, not really for under 25 unless you’re rocking a smart outfit. Fixation is good, the trail is delicious but moderate, inviting people to come closer; on certain skin tones it smells ‘gentlemanly’, but women absolutely love it. Works well in cool or mild daytime weather; in autumn or winter evenings it lacks depth, but in spring (up to 25°C) or a spring evening it’s ideal. Goes well with casual or formal attire. It’s like literal spicy vanilla. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something different, versatile, and with that certain ‘something’ that attracts women. Quality, bottle, and experience are top-notch, and the more you use it, the more you’ll like it. Scent: 8.5/10, Price: 9.5/10, Versatility: 7/10, Trail: 5.5/10, Longevity: 6.5/10.
