  It hit the spot. Thanks to a lady who let me try it and chat with her husband, I discovered this gem. It’s fascinating how a suit, using ‘you’ and good manners can bridge the gap between different lifestyles. I’m not a collector, but I enjoy exploring scents; so, speaking of roses, they taught me about ‘Rose Millesimee’. Upon application, I loved it: it opens with a fresh, clear rose, with a spicy note that adds strength (they told me it’s an apple compound, though I didn’t detect any fruity flavour) and very subtle. The development is like the persistence of a bouquet in a vase: it smells of water with petals, fresh flowers, and something I’ve never experienced before, flowers beginning to wilt. Very well executed, roses in different states. They explained it’s the ‘Centifolia’ variety, with a honey sweetness that I didn’t notice, but I imagine it’s because I wasn’t comparing it. At the base, a musky touch that anchors the scent, as the fragrance fades like the rose itself. It has a trick and a danger: it lasts a long time and projects well, so you must moderate the amount to avoid overwhelming. It looks feminine, sensual and elegant. It’s expensive and a limited edition due to the difficulty of obtaining that rose’s oil (harvested by hand at dawn). I’m glad I tried it and learned from it. For my pocket, I won’t try it again, and even if I could, I don’t think it’s my kind of investment. But for rose lovers with a comfortable budget, I recommend giving it a try.
