What a wonderful fragrance. I’d heard it was the best dupe of Santal 33, but by God, this blows minds on a rainy day. Forget it, it’s intoxicating, magical and sexy. Only missing is saying it’s unique, but I’m sure in years to come it will become an excellent signature fragrance. You pay little and receive much. 10,000 out of 10… Loads of compliments.
Very similar to Santal 33; if left to rest for a month after opening, its longevity improves quite a bit.
Stallion 53 seems to me an exquisite fragrance. Even if it’s a dupe or clone, this DNA is striking; that wet wood smell reminds me a lot of a carpentry workshop where wood is being cut, with incredible realism. The price-quality ratio is excellent, it lasts and projects quite well, and it’s very pleasant. Although they say it’s unisex, for me it’s much more masculine. It’s not a blind buy, but if you want to add something different to your collection, this is one of the recommended ones.
I’ve been disillusioned with perfumery in general for a while, but the truth is I came across this Stallion and for me it’s a 10/10. The scent is very good, perhaps not the performance as much. I also tried the Bharara Viking Kashmir (which also clones Santal 33) and found it more potent.
Very rich, smells like tereré water with lots of herbs.
I’ll just say it’s an atomic bomb of perfumes. A perfume you’ll have for days and days. Much better than Santal 33, although for me it’s disrespectful to compare it with Stallion 53; it’s like comparing a baby with a professor in terms of studies. It has phenomenal cardamom and citrus notes, and to finish, an exquisite sandalwood base. Everyone who has smelled it has told me they love it; some have even asked me to buy it for them. Highly recommended. Just be careful not to over-spray.
At first spray, it smells of a wet pine forest and freshly cut wood. As it dries, it becomes more pleasant with the cardamom, amber, iris and underlying sandalwood; very masculine. I’ve received many compliments, from both men and women. It feels much more pleasant in the trail than on the skin; it’s one of those perfumes that leaves a heavy trail. The longevity is excellent: mine has been macerating for 5 months and lasts at least 8 hours on the skin, several days on clothes. It’s one of those perfumes where you feel it when you move. If you like woody and masculine perfumes, this is for you.
I bought it for the reviews and notes; I’ve tried several wood scents, but this is another level. It’s a good perfume with good projection and longevity, and it even comes with a 20ml decant. But it doesn’t suit me at all at 20; it smells like a forest after rain, like chopping a wet log. Good perfume, but don’t buy it if you’re young.
I acquired an Emper discovery set with Stallion 53, Ilang 62, The Black 92, and Captcha 36. All four are excellent. The set smells a bit hippie or hipster, herbal, floral, and woody, fresh, evoking characters from that era. Stallion 53 is woody from start to finish; in the opening, the violet reminds me of Afnan’s Rare Carbon; you can feel sandalwood and leather. Ilang 62 is herbal-floral, almost cannabis-like when dry; it seems the most feminine at first but hardens as it dries and becomes masculine due to that note. The Black 92 is super potent; it seems light but smells of sweet fig, cedar, and vetiver, with tobacco appearing at the end; on clothes, it’s no brainer. CAPTCHA 36 arrived spilled due to heat; almost a month later, it still smells in the box. Same performance as the previous one. All have similar power and longevity, over 8h on skin, with the last two clinging to the skin. On clothes, they’re noticeable until the next day.
Fantastic perfume. For under $25, you get an excellent way to smell like Santal 33 without spending what the original costs. It’s a creamy, woody aroma that grabs attention and leaves no one indifferent. As it dries, on my skin it leaves a drier woody note that gives it a very rich masculine touch. It lasts very well, around 7 or 8 hours. It comes with a 20ml atomiser for transport and reapplication if necessary. Scent: 7/10. Longevity: 7.5/10. Projection: 7/10. Recommended.
Definitely a fragrance that doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s light, elegant and sophisticated, ideal for any occasion. Its leather and wood notes combined with violet and iris make it spectacular.
I bought this blind, intrigued by the sandalwood and tempted by the deal. I’m not an expert on notes, just sharing what I felt upon spraying. On my skin, it reminded me of Maison Alhambra’s Opulence Leather (which I have as a decant); perhaps less potent but with a similar DNA. They’re scents that don’t quite convince me. On me, it smells like shoe leather with tar, very strong, before transforming into something like fuel with a sweet touch from the amber. These are difficult scents to wear; I know others love them, but not me. The good thing is it lasts a long time: I sprayed it at 8pm on one day and could still smell it close to my skin at 1pm the next day, which is when I like it best, as the petrol smell had faded, leaving a rich, floral sweetness when I press my nose to my arm. It seems very masculine due to the strong leather. I’ll try it on the women in my circle to see what they think. I’ll leave it on the shelf for a while to see if it changes; for now, I can’t see myself wearing a perfume that smells like a gas station.
Like Santal 33 but less creamy, slightly more synthetic, yet much longer-lasting with impressive projection. Emper have done a great job.
Excellent perfume; the Emper house never fails. Just saying it’s for men over 40, very masculine. Lasted 8h on skin and over 24h on clothes (with 8 sprays). Not for everyone; don’t buy blindly. My girlfriend loves it; for a lustful night, I apply it with cream and it’s fantastic.
Reformulation? I bought the set with 100ml, a 15ml travel size, shower gel, and facial wash, and what a disappointment. On skin, it smells like diluted whisky in water; it doesn’t project, doesn’t smell, and disappears in minutes. Nothing like what they say. I’ll keep it for a few weeks to see if it improves.
Despite good reviews, thank God I tried it and it’s a fiasco. Smells of very faint leather, no evolution, alcoholic opening, and terrible projection. At one point, it reminded me of Maison Alhambra’s Galatea, but weaker and without that potent synthetic raspberry. Don’t buy blindly; stop following influencers; the real experience can be the opposite of the hype. I don’t smell any sandalwood, just leather; it lacks that creamy woody note.
SPECTACULAR. Complex yet pleasant aroma. At first, it reminded me of a carpentry workshop, super woody and masculine. It can be tricky to wear; it needs to suit you. It’s rich and distinctive. Longevity is incredible; a few sprays last until the next day. Sillage and projection are surprising too; it’s noticeable hours later. Versatile, though not for every occasion. So far, it’s the only one that has lasted hours on my skin with such presence. Rating: 9.6/10.
If you want an S33 without breaking the bank, look here. They’re 98% identical. I’ve tested them together and there’s hardly any difference. Stallion wins on longevity, so buy the 600ml instead of the 100ml S33. PS: The best atomiser I’ve ever tried.
DO NOT BUY BLINDLY! Opens herbal-floral, like cucumber with chilli over violets and iris. Then dense woods and leather fuse with a hint of petrol, reminiscent of Dior Fahrenheit, and an artisanal Indian sandalwood. It’s a strong punch that made a friend gift me their decant. Not for daily wear; it’s for when you’re heading into a conflict, John Wick or Constantine style, invoking demons. Projection 2-3h and longevity 6-7h, but you’ll regret how long it lasts. Rating: 4.2/5.
Stallion 53 is a very good clone of Le Labo’s Santal 33, a genuine sandalwood bomb accompanied by leather and iris, with a distinctive, dry, and elegant character, that dusty and slightly rough touch that makes it instantly recognisable. It’s not a fragrance I personally like, but I must recognise it has an original and striking profile, one of those that divide opinions, although many find it extremely attractive and addictive. The performance is very good, projects solidly and has excellent longevity. Its price is unbeatable and the fact that it includes a 20ml atomiser makes it tempting for lovers of intense, characterful woody fragrances. I recommend trying before buying, because it’s a composition with a lot of personality, but if it fits your taste, you’ll hardly find a better quality-to-price ratio.
I’ve been wearing this scent for seven or eight months, time for a review. In Stallion 53 you find a much heavier version of Santal 33, in several senses. It opens with cardamom (citrus without the acidity), lasts while the alcohol dries, and moves to the heart adding depth and an earthy iris. The base is where it shines: sandalwood and cedar are very present, with a note of freshly polished leather with oils and a touch of papyrus that smells like dry wood. The level is medium, neither hyper-realistic nor with plastic scents. Being unisex, it leans towards masculine. Use it on any occasion except extreme heat, because it would be suffocating. The best thing is its sillage; it smells better from a distance than up close. Good longevity: over 12 hours on clothes and 6-8 hours on skin. Good perfume if you like woody and leather scents, serious but stands out in activities. I wouldn’t buy it again as an alternative to Santal 33 because it makes its own twist; it’s heavier, but for the price, it’s a safe purchase.
This perfume is distinctive, unlike most. The notes are noticeable from the start, but beware: the opening is strong, you feel the leather, it’s alcoholic and herbal, and frankly, that first impression doesn’t like it, I almost hate it. It’s one of those fragrances that need time to settle. After an hour and a half, the real show begins: it softens the aggression and becomes sweet, powdery, and creamy due to the iris, perhaps its most unisex part. That contrast between the green-earthly and the clean iris makes it interesting. It smells like a freshly rained forest, cut wood, freshly cut grass, as if you put that in a bottle of watermelon vodka, but when it dries it becomes creamy and the alcohol fades. It’s herbal, wet, living nature and wet earth, a mix between a carpentry workshop and a forest, wrapped in something synthetic at the start. It also reminds me a lot of Armaf’s Odyssey Homme for the iris and leather. The performance is brutal, over 10 hours, I assure you, even if you go to sleep, they can still smell it the next day. I put it on at 2 pm for work and went out at 2 or 3 am; my brother told me it was still on me (8 to 10 sprays to make it last long). It’s worth a lot for the price, being an excellent Santal 33 dupe. In summary: it’s not easy, nor for everyone, you’ll probably dislike the beginning, but give it TIME, at least an hour, and you’ll see the essence. If you like natural, green, woody, and different scents, Stallion 53 is a very good option for your collection.
What a disappointment, a failed attempt at Santal 33. From a distance or quickly, it might sound familiar, but if you don’t know it well, you could be confused. What really bothers me is that unnecessary, poorly executed sweetness that becomes tiring, feminine, and even annoying; it probably comes from the violet or iris. That’s the only thing that makes it repugnant. I already have sweet perfumes, so my anger comes from going out with a friend and applying the original. Probably a lab would smell more like Santal 33 than this. I had to resell it. Total disappointment.
Top notes of sandalwood, wood, and leather make it unique and rare; it’s the closest thing to Santal 33 I’ve tried. Ideal for autumn, winter, and fresh springs. A must-buy if you love those notes.
Stallion 53, looking for a Santal 33 dupe? It’s not. Its opening is 70%; once dry, it reaches 85%. Santal 33 is unisex due to its creamy sandalwood, whereas this is a spicy, dry wood, almost like smelling a carpentry workshop, but it’s not bad; in fact, I like it. I see it as very versatile, less so for extreme heat; under 30 degrees it goes perfectly. If you’re looking for a better Santal 33 dupe, try Bravo el Ganso or One Million Gold. Box: Clones Le Labo’s box, eco-friendly and simple but distinct. Bottle: Copy of Santal 33, very simple, which takes off points. Atomiser: Sprays well, rating 9. Longevity: They say it’s beastly, others say it doesn’t last; for me, it lasts exactly 7 hours. Sillage: Leaves a good trail, though it’s not its strong suit. Price: $30, excellent and accessible. Compliments: Truthfully, I haven’t received any; in fact, people have told me it smells strange. Final rating: 8.5. Conclusion: Versatile perfume, smells like pure dry wood. If you’re a lover of woody scents, you’ll like it. It’s a good perfume, smells good, but it’s a maximum 80% similar to Santal.
How versatile, works in any season and time of day! It has 80% similarity to Santal 33, except for the dry-down which reaches 90%. It’s more synthetic and loud: it starts with an effervescent, spicy cardamom that gives way to a smoky aroma from the leather, like in a artisanal leather shop. The iris is very emblematic and sets the rhythm towards cypriol and fine, elegant woods. Highly recommended if you’ve been in the perfume world for a while; otherwise, the scent might clash with you.
I’m not an expert in perfumes, but the woody scent is impressive. It’s the one that lasts the longest on my skin (between 10 and 12 hours) and the price here is very accessible for the quality. I highly recommend it for a special evening occasion. Rating: 8.5
It has surprised me immensely. Although inspired by the legendary Santal 33, it opens fresh with cardamom, smoky wood, and a touch of leather, all wrapped in a bubble of iris that makes it more powdery than the original. The orchid is very present and rests on dry sandalwood and cedar, giving it mystique and complexity. When you wear it, it transports you to an old library with classical architecture, closed for years. It’s not dark, but vibrant and mystical; you’re sure others will notice that aura. Totally recommended.
It has completely won me over. To me, it smells like niche level, top-tier quality.
I just bought it; it arrived, and my mistake was buying it online without really knowing how it would smell, of course I saw the notes, but I also trusted the good reviews. I’m 14 years old, and this fragrance reminds me of church incense; it’s exactly as stated in the notes, it has all that. Although the truth is I’ve never had a woody fragrance, in fact, I’ve never had any perfumes; I wanted one, and letting myself be carried away, this was the first perfume I bought, a mistake. I feel I’d use it like a priest or a nun; I feel… Catholic, honestly. Which isn’t bad, of course, but not if it suits my age. When I showed it to others, most said they’d heard that somewhere, which for me means this fragrance is common, of course not as a fragrance, but as an ambient scent, so to speak. And also, most people don’t like that scent much, although the important thing is that I like it, obviously, and I think I do; not in the opening, but once it dries a bit, it doesn’t smell so bad.
Price-to-quality ratio is impeccable. You can tell the fine craftsmanship despite the low cost. Smells elegant and original, very clean, like refined white woods. Ideal if you’re looking for dry, characterful wood scents. Lasts quite a long time.
Bottled elegance. Despite being a clone, the quality of the ingredients is noticeable: a fresh and sharp opening, very spicy thanks to the cardamomo, with a woody and creamy dry-down. I didn’t expect much from this blind purchase, but it surprised me very positively, to the point that I’ve considered including it among my signature fragrances. And well, the best part is the price, $17 USD in Chile, which seems ridiculously cheap for what it offers. Rating: 9.3/10.
I don’t care much if it resembles Santal 33 or not; what I can tell you is that this fragrance is rich, denotes presence, and elegance. The opening is the only thing I find mediocre; from there to the dry-down, it’s brilliant.
I’ve been looking for this fragrance for over a year and a half. In cold weather or at night, it’s an incredible explosion of scent. From the opening, you can smell that rich sandalwood, cedar, and cardamomo. A fragrance that gives off vibes of elegance and presence at a super-affordable price (nothing to envy from Santal 33) in my country. I fell in love so much that I bought two. Highly recommended.
Certainly interesting. I bought this fragrance after having smelled Santal 33, which I liked a lot, although personally I’ve always felt it was more oriented towards floral notes. Now, under this profile, I acquired Stallion 53 on the premise that it was a dupe of the acclaimed Le Labo. However, to my surprise, this fragrance opts to go more fully towards the woody, which is undoubtedly a success; I love it. Its dry-down seems quite pleasant but present. The opening, which is what’s most criticised, while not bad, isn’t for everyone; it’s somewhat aggressive and loaded with elements, but after about 30 minutes it improves considerably. As for the compliment factor, honestly, I don’t care much; I’ve received divided opinions. The longevity is really good, persisting on fabric the next day and on skin exceeding 5 hours. As for projection and sillage, I don’t know much, but judging by the potency of the scent, I estimate they’re excellent, especially considering the price. It’s a fragrance I see more for fresh or cool occasions, not for heat, and even less if you live in a very hot city (as is my case), since I’ve even smelled Santal 33 dupes in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees and don’t consider it a good option, and I’m sure this wouldn’t be either for a hot summer. A blind purchase in my case, but a total success; I would buy it again without a doubt, indeed.
Honestly, it was a half-blind purchase because I like woody fragrances to some extent, so I ordered the Amper Discovery Set (30ml) to try it without having to buy the regular presentation, guided only partially by reviews here and its notes, but I didn’t expect the scent to be so strong along with its longevity. In my opinion, if you like or frequent fresh, sweet, or more youthful fragrances, I do not recommend it, as I wore it to university and asked everyone, and no one liked it. But if you want to try it, yes, I definitely recommend the Discovery Set; at least you’ll get three other options.
Personally, I adore this scent, although opinions will be divided: you either love it or hate it; there’s no middle ground. When I first bought it, I didn’t like it at all because my nose wasn’t trained, like any beginner. I made the mistake of spraying 10 sprays and couldn’t even stand it myself; I put it back in its box and decided to give it time and patience. Several months passed, and I returned to wearing it for work, applying only 5 sprays after learning from the first time, as that scent is so strong it can cause nausea and bother others. Currently, I perceive a quite attractive, pleasant scent that lasts and projects a lot; it feels elegant and masculine. However, I emphasise that it’s not a compliment generator; it’s at that perfect point where it makes you feel like a man with character and a marked personality, who doesn’t care about others’ opinions and simply wants to impose presence. If you’re a man with a high ego, sky-high self-esteem, self-assured, a successful gentleman, a conqueror, a bad boy, or a type with considerable means who doesn’t need words to impress, this fragrance is totally and widely for you; it’s one of the definitive ones. Believe me, I’m not lying, trust me, and do yourself a favour: buy it.
I have mixed feelings about this fragrance… On one hand, I love its green and woody scent, its versatility (all-terrain), and its performance (8 hours of longevity and powerful sillage for the first 2 hours). Personally, it’s a great fragrance, simply incredible, elegant, and sexy. But on the other hand, it’s my ego whispering that when you wear it, you smell like half the world. I like fragrances that aren’t hyper-mass-produced so I don’t run into people on the street smelling the same; with this one, it’s almost certain I’ll encounter people smelling like Emporio Armani Acqua di Giò or one of the many Santal 33 dupes. A friend told me her mum wore it, then I smelled it at a cashier in Office Depot the next day, another time at a lady in the theatre, and so on; I’ve encountered it several times. In summary, it’s a fantastic fragrance in every sense of the word, but it’s hyper-mass-produced. That’s why many hate it and many others love it (its two sides of the coin). If you want to make an impact and smell incredible, this fragrance is for you. If you want to smell unique and original, this fragrance isn’t for you.
It’s a fragrance that delivers far more than it costs, and that’s not up for debate. Incredible quality for $15. The leather note is noticeable; it’s a dry fragrance that lasts quite a while on clothes and skin, at least 7 hours. I recommend it wholeheartedly, but never buy it blindly. Now, if you love perfectly sweet leather, it’s yours.
I was expecting more based on various YouTubers’ reviews, but it disappointed me with its weak sillage and average longevity. The scent isn’t bad for its woody, foresty, and powdery notes, but it’s nothing more than that. Still, its ridiculously low price of $15 USD saves it.
