Phantom My Hero by Emper

It dries exquisitely, leaving a powdered chocolate/coffee and woody sandalwood scent on skin and clothes. I wore it today for work; it smelled good and projected just enough without being overwhelming. I like it, though not yet in love. I’ll keep testing it over three weeks to see if it grows on me. For now, if you’re thinking of buying, do so, but smell it first as it’s cosy and inviting if you don’t overspray. At this price, it shouldn’t be an issue. EDIT 11/02/26: I’m just here to update as promised. The scent has perfected itself and smells rich and addictive. Without exaggeration, I love it too much; I can’t stop sniffing myself and can’t wait to wear it on my next outing.

Odd; to me, it smells ‘drunk’, like red wine. It lasts, but I don’t see it on someone young like me. I gifted it to my father, who is around 50, and he picks up a leather note that my mother and I enjoy. Perhaps it doesn’t suit my ph, but it definitely suits someone older better. My mother loves smelling it on my dad; it has good projection, so please don’t use it in the heat.

Booh! I bought it blind at a laughable price and what a surprise… it smells of coffee liqueur with something chocolatey/vanilly at the very bottom. If you’re looking for a gourmand or sweet perfume, you won’t find it here.

Arabic perfumery has very shifting and complicated nuances, as is the case with this fragrance. The opening features alcoholic chocolate notes, as if eating a semi-bitter chocolate filled with liqueur. That’s fine until the dry-down, where it becomes so sweet and sour that it turns cloying. I get the impression of an acidic peach note, the kind that causes nausea. It’s not wearable or masculine in my view. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Oh, I just tried it (thank goodness I bought a decant and didn’t dive in blindly with the bottle). At first glance, I didn’t like it at all; the coffee and chocolate notes are present, but the scent is very alcoholic. We’ll see how it develops in the dry-down… Go for your Khamrah instead, as I think it’s a better scent and it’s a beast mode.

I absolutely love the 2025 perfumes: easy, potent, cheap, and they smell bloody brilliant. It’s addictive and an absolute must-have in my collection. If this is what it smells like, I can only imagine the Black Phantom by Killian. 10/10

Imagine a chocolate dessert with liquor, notes of caramel, sugarcane, and dark chocolate, then comes the rum and coffee mentioned in the notes. It’s not a blind buy, but if you’re looking for something different that stands out, Phantom My Hero is your way.

Not much to say: the price is good for what it offers, but the scent didn’t blow my mind. At first, upon application and during the test hours, I didn’t like it because it smelled like cheap cinnamon room spray. Curiously, that smell emerged as it dried; the first hour it smelled good. After months, it improved, but it still leaves me indifferent. Performance: good longevity, a solid eight hours for its type. The issue is the projection: many say it floods rooms, but in my case, it wasn’t so. It’s moderate to low, perhaps designed for dates, keeping you in your personal bubble for about two hours. Occasions and weather: ideal for close encounters, dates, or if you dislike brutal projections; it’s not invasive. Perfect for cold climates, it performs better there. Verdict: Scent 7/10, Longevity 9/10, Projection 6/10. Weather: Cold. Occasion: Nightly dates. Outfit: Casual and semi-formal. Would I recommend it? Only if you like sweet, non-invasive fragrances.

It creates a rich, enveloping profile that will attract lovers of sweet and warm scents. Its performance is very good in longevity and projection, ideal for daily wear. Furthermore, its price makes it tempting. It didn’t fully dazzle me, but that doesn’t mean it lacks quality. I recommend trying it before buying; it could be a pleasant surprise.

It’s a cloying, graceless disaster, like whipping coffee and then adding sugar until the foam collapses. While I adore sweet fragrances, the composition here is terrifying. I wouldn’t recommend it; I’d go for French Avenue’s Spectre Wraith instead, which is less sticky and far more wearable. The only good thing (though it was bad for me) is that it lasts and projects well.

I own several Arab perfumes, but this EMPER is the only one I have. It has taken me by surprise in the best possible way: it smells fantastic, it’s addictive, and I can’t stop smelling my wrist. I don’t know the Phantom by Killian, but I’m sure it’s a beast. I see it as unisex, although on me it feels masculine; it’s all my style. Ideal for autumn, winter, or spring nights. It lasts about five hours, but for my dry skin, that feels like an eternity. The price-to-quality ratio is pure profit, on par with Lalique’s Encre Noir.

Well done, Emper! Every nose is a world, but I’m surprised by those who say the coffee isn’t noticeable; it’s the queen note from start to finish. It’s an alcoholic coffee with Baileys-style vanilla. It’s not linear; at first, it smells of ash, which isn’t unpleasant, but by the hour, only the coffee and liquor remain. Projection lasts 2 or 3 hours, and longevity is around 8 or 9 hours in a delicious bubble that doesn’t get tiring. Ideal for cold weather and nights, not so much for the heat.

A pleasant surprise! I thought that, being a ‘beast mode’ fragrance, it would give me headaches like other Arab perfumes, but not at all. It’s very loud but smells like Baileys Irish Cream and didn’t make me dizzy. Yes, in the heat it overwhelms due to its sweetness, but for parties and the cold season, it’s brilliant. I’ll just add that I found it very linear, but since I enjoy wine-infused coffee, it didn’t bother me at all (though I prefer those that evolve). Best regards.
