I’ve tried this extensively, especially Gold Incense. I don’t understand why people say it’s so similar to Black Opium; I’ve seen reviews in various languages, but I disagree. They may belong to the same family, but they aren’t THAT alike. They feel more original; I don’t find them as sweet, nor do I detect as much coffee as in Black Opium. Gold Incense has a strong incense presence and feels more elegant than this one and than BO. Feminity smells sweeter than Gold Incense but less so than Black Opium; to me, Gold Incense and Feminity seem more similar to each other than Black Opium does to either of them. Just be aware that Gold Incense is dominated by incense, so you need to enjoy that note. It’s for ‘mature’ fragrances, but not old-lady or vintage mature—rather, mature and elegant.

Just be aware that Gold Incense is dominated by incense, so you need to enjoy fragrances with that note. They are more ‘mature’, but not old-lady or vintage mature—rather, mature and elegant.
On my skin, the caramel note is very prominent; it’s sweet and clearly a ‘for her’ scent. You can detect Mancera’s signature as there’s a hint of leather, though it’s not intrusive. If you like sweet perfumes, this is the one for you. The longevity and projection are good.
I tested the 2ml sample, and the truth is, it smells very much like Black Opium or its derivatives, especially when the coffee and caramel blend with the florals and pepper. I don’t detect the leather, nor do I sense it’s a men’s fragrance; it’s potent and pleasant, but without any surprises or anything we haven’t heard before. The notes work well and it lasts a decent amount of time, but it lacks the personality to make me fall in love, so I wouldn’t pay for the bottle.
I bought it because of a review mentioning its feminine connotations due to the name, but my first impression was more unisex, even with masculine tints. The sweetness is noticeable on clothes, and while it becomes more feminine as it dries down, it doesn’t really fit the title. I do like it, although I believe it suits a unisex style better than being exclusively for women.
I tested a decant and was taken aback: based on the name, I expected it to be more feminine, but it’s unisex with a much stronger masculine edge. At first, it smells sweet, with a detectable caramel note, but I don’t get the coffee note on my skin. As it dries down, it becomes woody, like a men’s fragrance but with more sweetness. The longevity disappointed me; it didn’t last more than six hours on my skin; perhaps it’s because I’m overwhelmed by the wood. It’s not bad, but I prefer other fragrances from this house.
It was my first Mancera, and I loved it in the store, but at home… ‘Feminity’ sounds like a joke! It’s a much more masculine aroma. It starts citrussy and floral, but after 15 minutes, only all kinds of wood remain. A touch of wood is fine, but so much is excessive for me. It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s not what I expected with that name. Edit: The same thing happened with Instant Crush from the same house; over time, the leather and florals rise above the wood. Although the leather makes me cringe, I tolerate it better. It still isn’t feminine; it’s unisex leaning towards men. I suppose it’s for an empowered woman willing to take risks with masculine notes, but in that style, I find Replica’s Jazz Club more elegant and practical, with a sweeter touch; this smells too much like a wooden sofa with flowers on top. It still doesn’t convince me.
