Descripción
Uomo? by Moschino is a woody musky floral fragrance for men. Launched in 1998, this composition was created by perfumer Olivier Cresp. The top notes unfold a vibrant accord of kumquat, aldehydes, coriander and Brazilian rosewood; the heart reveals the elegance of cyclamen, the freshness of clary sage, the warmth of cinnamon and the exotic touch of labdanum; while the base settles on a warm and persistent foundation of musk, ambergris, cedar and absinthe.

Moschino Uomo is, for me, the sexiest men’s perfume. Its scent is unforgettable, intense, with an impressive trail and great longevity; any woman will be enchanted. It’s discontinued and you can’t find it in department stores anymore. I recommend it 110%.
This fragrance has three phases: at the start it’s like a mix of Burberry Rhythm and Kenzo Jungle, with a light soda touch. Then it loses that and resembles the woman 90%. In the dry-down, it recalls the classic Le Male 80%. The strange thing is that the trail, which started as skin scent, grew to arm’s length and lasted about 8 hours, even smelling on the shirt the next day. It’s for casual use, up to 30 years old and temperate climates. Is it for men? No, it smells quite feminine most of the time. I don’t like this type of aroma, so I recommend trying before buying; fortunately, I did with a miniature and avoided spending too much.
I tried it for the first time today. At first, it smells like an 80s man, woody and fresh, with personality and a green and spiced touch, like a light classic. I thought it would be my favourite, but I don’t buy on first sight. After a few hours, the mid-notes become excessively sweet and generic, like 90s generic perfumes, until it fades leaving a synthetic and boring trail, like sour motel soap stuck to the skin. It’s a waste of money: it smells good when you wake up and stinks by midday. Only for fans of old lotions, not for those seeking to captivate.
Fantastic perfume, very casual but with good performance for the price. It’s a must-have in my collection. 8 out of 10.
I use it all through autumn and winter, day and night, and people always tell me how nice it smells. They say it smells of wood, and they’re right; it’s not annoying and lasts more than 7 hours; you just need to give it one or two sprays to revive it. Ideal for going out with a partner to the cinema or for dinner.
In a video, Jeremy recommended it as one of the best ‘sports’ for the gym or straight out of the shower. I was surprised because the notes and the lack of ‘sport’ in the name made me doubt, but as it was cheap, I took a risk. Well, it’s neither sport nor does it try to be. It has that classic men’s cologne structure, with a scent leaning towards Le Male, softer and with a powdery touch that distances it from sporting use. Although, ironically, the recent Luna Rossa Sport (which is basically a reinvented Le Male) does work for those occasions for me.
It doesn’t recall Dreamer or Le Male in the dry-down, even though the initial idea is similar. If you’re looking for that resemblance, forget it: the footprint of JP Gaultier and Versace is minimal. Le Male remains another level, and Uomo doesn’t have anywhere near that magic of both.
I picked it up on offer for €13.90 for 125ml, so I couldn’t pass it up. It starts with a super natural citrus with a sweet touch, a delicious opening. After 20-30 minutes, it smells like that 90s musk and stays that way until the 4-5 hour mark when the party ends. It’s not one that leaves you breathless, but I can’t stop searching for its scent on my skin. I don’t know, it has something that hooks you.
I bought it a few days ago and it’s pretty. It starts with a slightly heavy 90s-style citrus, then shifts to something soft and powdery. That delicate side gives it a unisex touch. For the curious: that phase smells exactly like Laysol baby powder (the blue bottle). It’s not bad, but it’s a rare vintage. They’ve already taken it off the market, so if you catch it cheap and are a collector, buy it. It’s not for everything; perhaps in extreme heat it lasts less, but it’s good for daily wear or going to the beach.
A curious fragrance; the name already hints at its unisex nature, though on me it smells more feminine. No one will bat an eyelid if a man wears it, so the ambiguity is executed perfectly. Perhaps Moschino envisioned an androgynous man given the aesthetics, but whatever the case, it smells rich and pleasant. On my skin, it’s like a soft, slightly spiced lemon mousse. It starts strong with citrus and aldehydes, then quickly the musk kicks in, adding sweetness and creaminess with a gourmand touch. That faint spice likely comes from cinnamon and woods. As it dries down, although the intensity drops, it retains its punch and vaguely recalls Allure Sport (more distinguished, creamy, and complex). Smelling both up close, the musk and citrus make them resemble each other. Excellent longevity: two sprays at 11 am and I can still smell it effortlessly at 11 pm. It projects strongly for the first 3-4 hours with a noticeable trail, and even at 10 hours it’s detectable without bringing my nose close while working. It’s very reasonably priced. If you can, grab a vial, as it’s not a scent for everyone; otherwise, you won’t lose much given the cost. You’re sure to have a fragrance that both you and the women in the family use. Highly recommended. Au revoir! PS: if you hate musk, better not to get close. EDIT: The Allure it most resembles is Edition Blanche when Chanel is nearing the end of its life.
I love what happened with Moschino Uomo?. I’d wanted to buy it for ages, and although I usually buy blind, this time I bought a sample first. The first time was a disaster; I hated it. Second try, the disaster became ‘passable’, it didn’t last long, and while I liked the scent, it didn’t seem worth the hype. But with each additional test, I fell in love until I bought the large bottle, which I open every two days. Now, it doesn’t matter that it doesn’t last long on my skin; its magic captivates me. It smells complex; at times it feels like a classic Italian aroma for a well-dressed man. Other times, I see it as the ideal perfume for a young girl in a white linen dress walking through the countryside in spring. It’s totally unisex. What does it smell like? It starts citrusy, sweet, and spicy; the aldehydes are noticeable. It reminds me of an orange soda. The cyclamen comes through strongly, so it takes a floral path but keeps its initial aroma. It feels damp, very much like Burberry Touch for Men. When it dries down, it becomes powdery, slightly spicy, and sweeter. It’s brilliant, very versatile. In mild weather, it suits best and improves even more during the day. Totally unisex. A must-try for all perfume fans. Well, you’ve seen I had to try it five times before falling in love. I met this fragrance like one meets a new love, by chance. On a blind buy, I ordered several decants, and among them was Uomo?. When I put it on and went out, I didn’t pay much attention; yes, I liked it, but it wasn’t until a while later, when I brought my arm to my nose, that I thought: this is for me! Like on a fresh summer morning on the terrace of an old café, someone watching you drink orange juice without you noticing, until you feel their gaze, they smile and wink at you. That’s how it was. What a special scent. We put perfumes on our skin, but some reach our souls, and this is one of them. I already have my bottle and know I’ll never run out. I’m passionately in love with Uomo?.
Let’s see how to explain it… It’s a fragrance I doubt anyone would dislike, yet it’s rare. I can’t see any resemblance to anything I know, perhaps a distant echo of the floral notes in Le Male, but that’s not really it. It’s powdery, floral, faintly citrusy, and quite linear, with musk and cyclamen from start to finish. I find it very versatile for any daytime occasion throughout the year; in winter it might feel a bit light, but in spring and summer, you’ll get the most out of it. Suitable for men of all ages. Good longevity (6-7 hours), moderate projection (60-90 minutes). For the €20 I paid for 125 ml, I’m convinced the market still offers real treasures, and we must avoid falling into the trap of unregulated clones or Zara perfumes. Let’s bet on original, quality aromas that traditional houses provide. I recommend it, even blind.
It’s a hidden gem! I’m intrigued to find out who created this delight. The opening is subtle… but once you realise it, you’re instantly in love. If you’re looking for a scent that makes everyone turn around, this isn’t for you. It’s more suited to a confident, mysterious, and sexy man who has nothing to prove… just waits to be discovered. And oh miracle, the person who discovers it… <3
In my opinion, it’s a superb fragrance. It stands apart from all the aquatic scents dominating the market right now. Citrusy at first, slightly powdery, and then it dries down to a wonderful Italian elegance. It’s not for everyone, but the first time it dried down on me, it was absolutely mind-blowing. I’m now on my second bottle because I discovered it too late. Plus, considering the price, believe me, it’s worth every penny. Just a tip: test it before buying 😉
An exceptional perfume worth getting to know. It is a jewel that goes unnoticed. It is different, so give it a chance and do not judge it at first glance, because it is peculiar and conquers little by little. Opening with kumquat citrus tones in orange hues, dark, spicy and slightly bitter notes. Development towards soapy nuances due to the aldehydes, coriander and chamomile, with that peculiar touch of agarwood that smokes it. Powerful and noticeable musky base, with neat and comfortable woody nuances. Exceptional value for money, versatile and different. It is not for going crazy, but it is a very interesting option.
It starts with a certain bitter citrus, then moves to an aromatic floral and finally settles closer to the skin. It is not sweet, but a refined masculine scent with that Italian stamp for mild climates, ideal for informal occasions or something slightly more serious, all daytime. A citrus that is not the typical sugary trend, a good option to vary the collection. Medium performance on skin, not much projection but with a notable opening. 125 ml bottle, made in Italy with good value for money.
The perfect one for the office: it does not overpower, smells lovely and everyone likes it. It is one of the few I keep as a ‘backup’ because I know they no longer manufacture it. If you find it, buy it, it is super pleasant and very versatile.
An old-fashioned and classic scent, not very strong but good for daytime. It smells a bit cheap and alcoholic, but as a cologne it is fine. At the moment it has a very reasonable price.
It is a fragrance totally different from the usual: it starts fresh with citrus, but the Chinese orange gives it a very peculiar touch. It is eccentric, with that vintage scent that won’t suit everyone, but it is bold. Very long-lasting with a powerful trail, I truly recommend it.
Batch 2019, a 90s masterpiece that smells vintage but isn’t boring. Today UOMO lasts about 5 hours, dries quickly, and projects little; it’s a skin scent. On paper it smells like bargain floor cleaner, but on skin it’s a charming soft floral with a sweet, musky dry-down. A blend of soft cinnamon, white flowers, and light vanillin. Women will adore it for that floral touch. It was one of the first to embrace 90s unisex. It’s fresh, relaxed, and charming, nothing invasive. The price today is laughable: 25-30 euros for 125 ml. If you seek longevity or something very masculine, look elsewhere; this one fades.
I liked it a lot, but my wife was so fascinated she asked for a bottle. Smells odd: sometimes wet earth, other times fruit. Original aldehydic and floral notes, not mass-produced, and the performance is incredible. My wife forbids me from wearing it unless I’m with her (help!).
Short and different: not marine or sweet, but fresh, floral, clean, and classy, almost unisex. I loved it, my wife loved it even more, so much that she stole it. Ideal for someone who radiates order and tenderness. If you only wear leather scents, this might seem like a woman’s perfume to you, but to me, who hates animal smells, I absolutely love it.
Fresh and citrusy opening, then moves to floral. I like it, though the slightly powdery base confuses me; my wife says it smells like baby powder and she stole it. Very rich, easy to like, but don’t buy blind.
I love it; it’s like baby cologne evolved for adults. It brings me peace, I even use it to sleep in and wake up to the scent. Not for everyone, but if you seek something that evolves and isn’t linear, give it a try. Smells of citrus, talc, woods, and a distinct cleanliness. Plus, it has a ridiculous price.
My Italian signature scent, the first perfume from the brand I own and it never leaves my collection. Not a beast mode, but it lasts around six hours on skin and is noticeable on clothes even after washing.
Delicious and nothing conventional: extremely clean with almost pasty sweet oranges. Features low flowers and a lovely combo of musk and ambergris. Coriander and cinnamon appear spontaneously. Lasts 6-7 hours; projection becomes intimate after the first hour, but I will definitely buy it again.
Citrusy, floral, and with that clean touch that is so enchanting. Bought it blind and it was a total success; perfect for heat and casual wear.
Your lifesaver against 30-degree days with a white shirt. A stylish fragrance that lasts and projects without any issues.
Starts with fresh Italian citrus, reminiscent of Le Male but lighter and more portable for the modern gentleman. Very current, distinct, and brings to mind Le Beau Male (the white version, not the current one).
It reminds me of when I used to go to the hairdresser and they’d spray me before finishing the cut. Classic citrus aroma. Nothing particularly novel. Good value. Suitable for the office; it’s not intrusive and has a gentle presence. It delivers; don’t expect too much from it.
I quite like this fragrance, perhaps out of habit, but it has an old-fashioned, woody touch that’s pleasant. It has that 90s vibe, old-school, older gentleman. I don’t see it as unisex, but rather very masculine. The downside is that it smells like cheap cologne; I wouldn’t wear it for anything formal.
What a lovely surprise with this Moschino Uomo. I’ve wanted to try it for ages but couldn’t find it in perfumeries. Last year I spotted it on a ferry from Algeciras to Morocco, at just £21 for 75ml. Without hesitation, I bought it blind. It’s 100% Italian style, opening with kumquat citrus (in my country, Argentina, we call it quinoto). After 20 minutes, it becomes soapy due to the floral notes. It’s very clean, versatile, and timeless. Perhaps the only weak point is longevity, which doesn’t exceed five hours on my skin. But it was a great purchase; I’d recommend it.
What a delightful little scent. A brief, undeclared citrus opening and that clean aroma, slightly spiced with a warm dry-down. It reminds me of Versace Pour Homme, sharing some blended notes with Ultraviolet, though both are from later years. Although it recalls past aromas, I don’t see it as dated. Something about it lifts my spirits when I smell it. I see it as perfect for daytime, work, from autumn through spring. An Italian spirit. Note: it’s 27 years old now. It’s becoming hard to find, but if you manage to get your hands on it and you enjoy scents like Acqua di Gio, Versace Pour Homme, Issey Miyake Pour Homme, etc., I think you’ll like it.
It’s fresh with a bitter twist, perfect for hot weather. It has a citrus opening but isn’t the typical citrus; it’s slightly bitter, soapy, clean, and has a faint powdery note, like barbershop shaving foam or certain laundry soaps. I thought it would be more talcum-like, but if you’re looking for that, you won’t find it here. I’d recommend it for anyone wanting something informal, fresh, but not your typical fresh fragrance.
DON’T BUY IT IF… – you think 15 sprays are too many to last an hour. – you’re looking for something purposeful. But if you’re a collector of insecticide-like scents, this is an absolute must-have.
I love finding ‘forgotten gems’ like this, without the hype or outrageous prices. For around $25 you get the 125ml version. It’s an animal, fresh, and floral/sweet fragrance. At first it seems unisex, but as it dries down, it feels more masculine. Ideal for everyday wear. Yes, it can feel a bit synthetic at first, but it becomes elegant, youthful and attractive once dried. I’d give it an 8/10 because the longevity and projection could be better.
This smells like the 90s… it’s not the beast of old and lacks that bitter finish it used to have, but when it dries down, it stays just as good.
I picked it up in Italy and was instantly smitten. I wore it here in Argentina and people kept asking what I had on because it smelled so good. I’d recommend it 100%.
It’s a versatile chap who, despite the price, boasts almost conceptual complexity. It suits cloudy days perfectly or whenever you want to project a neat yet enigmatic image.
