Z Zegna Fresh could be the best flanker in the range. This limited edition is a variation of the original: very similar, but the ‘Fresh’ note adds water, juniper, and cardamom, giving it an intense, robust mentholated touch that’s impossible to ignore. It evolves in two linear stages; after 6 hours, it loses its freshness and becomes like the original but bluer and more aquatic, enhancing the scent. Its quality in sillage, longevity (10 hours), and personality elevate it above its price. Discontinued, what a pity, as it has more depth than the original. If you like Zegna, you won’t be disappointed. If you find it for under $70, buy it; it’s hard to come by and worth more than $140. PS: The neoprene packaging looks like a diving suit, it looks spectacular and protects from the heat.
Z Zegna Fresh is aquatic, aromatic, and woody. It opens fresh with citrus and aromatics, driven by juniper berries, and settles with patchouli and musk. Smells great; very similar to the original but lighter and more aquatic. The original is more citrusy and spicy. Perfect for spring and summer in casual moments. It’s a shame Zegna has discontinued everything; it’s not even on their website. Lasted 7-8 hours with a regular sillage.
