  XXX Charcoal is a woody, incense-scented fragrance with green nuances. It opens strongly with incense and wood, somewhat like vetiver, very masculine. Soon the incense intensity drops slightly and a green, spiced, amber aroma emerges, becoming powdery and aromatic. I struggle to define it precisely, but it is elegant, masculine and uncommon. I think it suits all seasons except summer, as being dry and woody, it has almost no fresh notes. It lasted around 12 hours on me, perhaps longer with regular projection. The concept is interesting due to its use of unusual ingredients and combinations, so I at least recommend trying it. The bottles in the entire line are original and look more beautiful in person than in the photos.

  Distinct and original; I tested it straight out of the shop and loved it, noticing a sharper graphite/carbon note than in this bottle I’ve just purchased. Here, the pepper stands out most, followed by the graphite which has softened in this batch. Without doubt, the top notes are the best: that spicy mineral sensation provides a refreshing lift, ideal for hot climates. It then evolves into a subtle sweet heart, reminiscent of caramelised fruit—sexy but less innovative. Excellent for a spring or autumn afternoon. I still need to test its longevity, but for me, it’s the jewel of the collection.
