I fell in love at first sniff. I bought it months ago to start my collection and it seemed super different from everything I’d tried before. It’s my favourite for evening wear, though I think it could also be worn during the day in winter. Today I picked up the Black Opium Red Over and they seem incredibly similar. It feels like a perfume for when you’re dressed up, although it really enhances everything it touches. The macchiato note in autumn and winter is wonderful; if you don’t like sweet perfumes but do want to explore all the olfactory sectors, this is an absolute triumph.

What a beautiful perfume! I bought it blind and I loved it. I can’t see what people find similar to Black Opium; this is a thousand times more delicate and the milk coffee note is exquisite, soft, and just right for a floral that leans slightly gourmand. It seemed ideal for fresh or mildly warm climates (with few sprays) and very nocturnal. I smell pure neroli mixed with milk coffee and the classic patchouli of La Nuit Tresor, crafted exquisitely as Lancôme knows how to do it. A curious thing: I wore it at home, went to the pool two hours later, and upon returning the scent was still there, very faint but present despite the chlorine. A total success. I loved it, it’s super current, and I adore it. As I mentioned, it didn’t seem at all like YSL’s BO, but rather a gourmand update of the La Nuit Tresor family.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PERFUME!!!! I bought it blind and I loved it. I don’t know what they see as a similarity to Black Opium; this is a thousand times more delicate, and the coffee with milk note is exquisite, soft, and the perfect point to create a floral leaning slightly towards gourmand. I found it ideal for fresh or slightly warm climates (with low atomisation) and very nocturnal. I smell pure neroli mixed with coffee with milk and the classic patchouli of La Nuit Trésor, executed exquisitely as Lancôme knows how to do. I experienced something curious when I tested it on my wrist at home: I atomised it, went swimming about two hours later, came out, and the scent was still there!!!! Very faint, but still, the pool had chlorine and yet the perfume remained on my wrist. A total success. I liked it very much; it’s super current and I love it 💘. As I mentioned before, it didn’t seem at all like the YSL BO but rather a gourmand update of the La Nuit Trésor family.

My skin takes Black Opium terribly: the first spray is nice, but once it settles I have to wash it off because it becomes metallic and unbearable. But this is not Black Opium for me. I tried it by chance. Normally I avoid La Nuit Tresor due to the patchouli, but I sniffed the cap and didn’t detect it, so I sprayed some on the back of my hand to wash it off easily. After a while I had to reapply more. The opening might make you say “meh”, but if you like the style of Valentino Donna Born in Roma, Paradox, Angel Elixir, etc., and don’t mind a less alcoholic, more adult and complex version of Britney Spears’ Private Show, this is it. A wonderful cappuccino and whipped cream note. The floral touch is more present than it seems to indicate. And it lasts, lasts, lasts… sticking to my jacket all afternoon. I wouldn’t have approached it for its original; I was distracted and… love at first sniff.

My skin is a disaster with Black Opium. A disaster is that the first atomisation I like, but once it settles, I have to wash it off immediately because it becomes metallic and unbearable. But stooooooo…… this is not Black Opium for me. I tried it by chance. Normally I avoid La Nuit Trésor because of the patchouli. But I smelled the cap and didn’t perceive it, so I put a little on the back of my hand to wash it off easily. After a while, I had to run back to put more on. It is Black Opium. A flanker they should have sold to Lancôme and bottled in the diamond.

In its opening it reminds me of La Nuit Tresor, then I sense coffee, vanilla, and whipped cream; the flowers aren’t felt. I was a little disappointed; I thought it would be as gourmand as the first one with beastly longevity, but no, it left much to be desired in scent, longevity, and projection. Luckily I tried it. I like its scent, but I feel I’ve heard it before, it brings to mind: Black Opium, La Nuit Tresor, and The Only One. If you have these three perfumes, it’s not worth spending what it costs.

I tried it and the lady wasn’t very kind, so I wonder if it has terrible performance or if it’s meant for clothes; the sleeve of the jacket I was wearing didn’t last long either. I know it doesn’t make sense, but it reminded me of JA’s Candy Land; I don’t understand why, but I smell them quite similar without it being a dupe. If it also seems similar to you, don’t spend on this because it’s very expensive and, in my opinion, has a terrible price-quality ratio.

I bought it recently; I expected it to be as potent as the traditional Nuit, but on my skin the opening was barely felt and it faded; it has no trail or longevity. The scent is very rich but it’s not worth it. Its performance is poor on my skin.

Fresh opening and then it becomes floral and creamy. Some days the coffee is more felt, others the vanilla (cream), and today, on a rainy autumn day, the flowers and the “creamy” aspect stand out more. It has slightly the DNA of the original Nuit EDP, as if they were the notes removed from the 2019 Nuit reformulation. I don’t sense the patchouli, nor do I feel it resembles Good Girl or Black Opium, and that’s good because both shock me. Perhaps I see it as a replacement for Nuit à la Folie which is running out, but with a less marked vanilla. However, according to my partner it smells similar to Scandal. Anyway, everyone has their own sensations.

Creamy floral with a just-right sweetness. I like it very much, although the scent itself isn’t really my style; it’s one of my favourites from La Nuit Tresor. It’s a floral, a mix between white flowers and roses. What I love is that the gourmand feels underneath, making a perfect cushion for the flowers so they don’t feel overwhelming. It remains a floral, that’s what’s most felt, but the gourmand accompanies and envelops it. That base is the only thing it shares with the original. It ends up being a creamy floral, which is very lovely, but personally I would prefer to add others to my collection before. I tested it dry; perhaps I should try it on skin and see how it sits and evolves on me. The longevity is very good, as it is with all the La Nuit ones, and of course, you can smell the quality.

I absolutely love it 😍. The opening is still a bit of a mystery to me and the only thing I don’t instantly connect with, but after 15 or 20 minutes it transforms into something that truly captivates me. I want to buy it now!

Creamy, seductive, nocturnal… beautiful! I bought it blind as I’m a fan of La Nuit Tresor… I must say I don’t find the DNA of the classic but I liked it a lot. It feels creamy and sweet but not cloying. You can smell the macchiato which in the nose is like a chocolatey coffee. It’s very rich. The Lancôme rose is also very present; that’s perhaps what they have in common with the classic La Nuit Tresor. Pity its trail is scarce. It has good longevity but is perceived very close to the skin. It’s an “intimate” perfume.

Impactful! Creamy, nocturnal and carrying the DNA of Nuit de Tresor, you have to enjoy its evolution; what a magnificent fragrance!

I’d been searching for a sweet, long-lasting perfume for the evening, something almost thick as I prefer. I’ve loved it: the moment I smelled it, I’ve worn it on my wrist. It lasts incredibly long on my skin, it’s noticeable, and it stays with me. I love it.

Impactful! Creamy, nocturnal, and carrying the DNA of La Nuit Trésor. You have to appreciate its evolution; it’s a proper perfume bomb.

Am I or does it resemble Scandal Le Parfum?
Carmetta
It smells pleasant but very common. To me, it doesn’t resemble Black Opium or the original La Nuit Trésor. I don’t know; it reminds me of some cheap supermarket perfume or Woman Secret scents. It’s considerably softer than its siblings. It left me indifferent. What I detect strongly is the macchiato note; if you like simple, sweet coffee perfumes, this will suit you. However, if you have a more trained nose, it will seem bland and common. I didn’t expect more. I don’t believe it’s a quality perfume worth the price. Edit: After atomising it on my jacket sleeve a few days ago, it still smells. The longevity and projection are IMPRESSIVE, at least on clothes. And I must say, by the next day the scent had turned delicious and cosy. I think I like it now. Freshly atomised it’s very common, but after a few hours (around 12) it becomes an enchanting aroma. It has won me over and now I want it. The first impression was a disaster, but now I can’t stop thinking about this perfume. And while it seems very soft when you atomise it, over the hours it gathers strength and lasts until you wash the clothes. It’s beastly.
