XXX Cyprium is a woody and green fragrance. The opening is rare, with woody, acidic, and sulphurous notes, like oxidised metal and a bit dirty, similar to oud. In this initial phase, it reminds me of Comme des Garçons 2 Man, but without the smoky touch. I’ve read it has a copper accord; perhaps that’s what they’re trying to imitate. Over time, it becomes greener, aromatic, and talc-like, losing that initial harshness. I think it’s good for intermediate seasons, neither too hot nor too cold, so spring and autumn. It works well in formal or informal situations, but not so much for romantic dates. The longevity was about eight hours on me, with regular to low projection. Its scent is uncommon, nothing like the blue, sweet, or fruity trends. It’s more conceptual, but I’ve enjoyed it. The bottle is also original; it looks as if the packaging had melted in a corner.

Smells very much like a Lalique Encre Noire Sport I bought blindly, hoping for something more elegant, but I was mistaken. It’s smoky, definitely features vetiver, and comes with a lot of alcohol… nothing special.
