Here are the notes for Santa Maria Novella according to their website: top notes of lavender, mint and eucalyptus; heart of helichrysum and fennel; base of rosemary and myrtle. What strikes you first is the packaging, a genuine visual treat. Although the contents are what truly matter, I find myself more drawn to such things. Both myrtle and helichrysum are medicinal plants: myrtle for nerves, vomiting, diarrhoea and insomnia; helichrysum for allergies, asthma and rhinitis. The fragrance has a very marked balsamic-medical aroma, mixed with mint, lavender and eucalyptus which are screamingly present. I absolutely loved it: fresh and unisex, I couldn’t stop rubbing my wrist against my nose. I would have bought it without a second thought were it not for those ridiculous projection and longevity: after three hours it had vanished completely. What a shame.
