Pomegranate creates a clean aldehydic atmosphere with herbs and medicinal plants. The style of this historic Florentine house unites medicine and perfumery, giving it a hygienic and pure touch. It’s like magical ointments of roots and nectars. The result is clearly aldehydic but not chemical, evoking echoes of Chanel N22 and White Linen, with that floral soap cleanliness. This green and blue bubble is fresh, very natural, and an olfactory magnet. It has that rich, precious magic of the herbalist and plant laboratory typical of Santa Maria Novella. Herbal aldehydic purity, soapy, natural, and pleasant. For lovers of Chanel No 5, Calèche by Hermès, Chanel N22, First, and Arpège. Pomegranate paints floral cleanliness landscapes with natural plants and medicinal herbs.

A chypre that skims the edge of aromatic. Very herbal, with dried aromatics; perhaps the tobacco, labdanum and moss give it that touch. It recalls incense slightly but has a powdery hint. Reminds me of Foin by Oriza Legrand but less soapy and less sweet. Far removed from the old Miss Dior. It evokes the end of summer when everything is dry. If you like chypres, go for it. Edited to add its character: clean, refined, elegant yet simple, spiritual, even a little intellectual. Do not look for sweet makeup powdery notes here.

Disappointed with its longevity; freshly applied it is a spectacle, smelling of high-quality clean soap… but unfortunately the emotion fades quickly. I will try to boost it with the oil from the same line to see if I can make it last and leave a trail worthy of the price. If not, I will be abandoning Santa Maria Novella.

Disappointed with its trail: freshly applied it’s a spectacle, smelling of clean, good soap… but unfortunately the excitement doesn’t last long. I’m going to try boosting it with the oil from the same line to see if I can make it last and leave a trail worthy of the price. If not, I’m abandoning Santa Maria Novella.

Pomegranate in Italian means pomegranate, but I swear to you, although it carries pomegranate notes, it doesn’t smell fruity. It smells like an old-fashioned perfume and nothing stands out above the other notes. They told me it was one of their oriental scents and I can assure you it smells very oriental, albeit discreetly. On my skin, it lasts about five hours. They have a wider range of cosmetics with that same scent.
