I’m absolutely smitten with this scent. It’s a warm, tranquil vanilla, carrying the classic DNA of the Florentine House, founded in 1221 by Dominican friars. I’m sure the Medici gave them a real boost… what a treat the history of perfumery is. Visiting Florence to see their perfumes in the former convent of La Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella will be a delight I’ll make time for one day; they even have workshops. When I smell it, I’m reminded of Aurora or Rose… ‘Sleeping Beauty’. She would have worn it if not for Disney’s artifice (yes, it’s stuck in my head… hehe). A very fine perfume, smelling of a new doll yet distinctive (no one will wear it the same way, it denotes quality in the composition). It’s an eau de toilette with low projection but feels like a second skin for many hours. Ideal for a daytime bride, warm and without any fuss. A possible choice for me on such a special day. A fine, timeless jewel worthy of anyone who wants to wear it.
